Steve.... because there is ALWAYS a separate sentencing date after any and every criminal trial... whether misdemeanor or felony. It’s a set aspect of the criminal trial process. Typically 30 -90 days.
In my district the courts are a minimum of two years behind in trying cases. October is actually the normal time span from being found guilty at trial at end of July to having your date for receiving your sentence. Just attended a trial where def was found guilty in early May and his sentence date is end of August. Real life is not like what is shown on tv shows.

I think the proper prison sentence is remaining in jail until he testifies. I can't understand why they don't have that as an option and he can get away after two years without having any other consequence for not testifying.

Steve.... because there is ALWAYS a separate sentencing date after any and every criminal trial... whether misdemeanor or felony. It’s a set aspect of the criminal trial process. Typically 30 -90 days.
In my district the courts are a minimum of two years behind in trying cases. October is actually the normal time span from being found guilty at trial at end of July to having your date for receiving your sentence. Just attended a trial where def was found guilty in early May and his sentence date is end of August. Real life is not like what is shown on tv shows.

Are we to believe that Secret Service text messages are archived on the individual phones?? Subject to dropping in toilets, hits from assassins' bullets, or memory chip failures? Really?. I would bet that the messages are daily backed-up to an archive, so that the phones are free to go into risky situations. So the question is who got at the archive, when and why...
I bet some people from the secret service will talk and tell the truth... No matter where there will always be people who has the guts and morals to tell the truth.
