This is not a normal interaction; wasps are usually fine to handle as long as you make no sudden moves or pinch them. This is either an uncannily aggressive species, or this particular wasp was severely provoked prior to the recording of this video. Either way, don't go thinking all wasps are like this; they aren't
This wasp’s kind of a jerk! You weren’t doing anything to her, she just stung you out of nowhere. I like how you didn’t even flinch as it was stinging you. It kinda gave me disappointed parent vibes, you were like “You stung me for no reason? I expected better of you.”

A bee flew up to me and stung me on my hand, out of nowhere and for no reason. I've always thought that bees are jerks and this sealed the deal for me
Wasps / hornets rarely sting without provocation in the early season while the hive is active. During the later season, when the hive is matured and finished, and the workers are essentially "purposeless" and just waiting to die, their behavior gets very erratic and aggressive - this is when they sting without provocation or reason.
Yes, this queen looks a bit like cicada killer wasp. But we do not have cicada killer wasps in our areas at all. Yes, it is Megascolia. Usually it stings very weakly, but it was pretty painful after this experiment. Female of Megascolia is rather rare, because people usually observe swarms of males of Megascolia which are much more common. So, the result of experiment: don't play with Megascolia in hands.
