I'm 36 and I am also on my transitioning journey to tech. Programs like "We think code" I no longer qualify but I am definitely going for it even when most opportunity has chuck me out but Software engineering I am coming for you shame.
I noticed u said its difficult becoming a psychologist in S.A. It is the same as being a software engineer. Especially with no degree. You get to a job where 1 post has 654 applications (like what i saw today). And only 9 candidates are selected. Most candidates know algorithms and data structures or how to find the shortest path in a network...badically solving problems. Den u have to do a 3 step technical interview💔yoh

I have a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Higher Certificate in Project Management and another NQF certification on emotional intelligence and personal branding. I got accepted for ALX Software Engineering and I'm still waiting for a response from wethinkcode.
Alx is 12 months total, you learn on your own and it’s fast paced and I feel like you learn a lot at wethinkcode cause you’re physically there and there’s other learners helping you and it’s for beginners
