@@gangshit1805 But compared to the world, that's still much higher than the average. Kinda like how NBA average vertical jump records are low (around 24 inches) because big men don't need to jump too high even though there are a lot of players with 40+ inches vert.

Most of the best (and quickest) two-foot leapers aren’t that super-tall. I’m not sure what the average height for elite volleyball strikers is but I’d guess it’s around 6’3” or so. Volleyball nets aren’t that high. Getting up quickly is just as critical as getting up high.

Bro, 6'1"?! Picture this: I'm a 13-year-old Filipino, 5'4" tall, weighing 75kg, and I struggle to jump high. I might be too short for volleyball, but I'm giving it my all. Oh, and I'm turning 14 soon. Also, I'm a setter, but I'm still learning how to play volleyball properly.
Just practice. Do training for the specific position you want to play. If your setter, your height and jump dont matter as much. If you can jump high enough to get your hand over the net, then you can tip and dump, which is all the height you would need as setter. im 14 and im 5'2 (dont judge im a girl). Im on a co ed team so like everyone is taller than me, because im also the youngest. Our coach trains us for all the positions tho bc you never know. But i had a rly low vertical. I couldnt even touch the top of the girls net that we used last season. Were using a boy net this time and i can actually get my whole hand over. If you want to improve your jump tho, you can look up like workout routines for higher jumps. Theyve worked rly well for me. Btw sry for the long ass essay lmaooo
@@iluvwalker.scobell Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it. Even though I tried following volleyball tutorials on RUclips, I still couldn't do it right. Every time I set the ball, it spins too much, which makes me feel like I'm not good at it. I've been playing volleyball for about 5 months now, but I haven't gotten much better. I still struggle with setting, serving, and receiving properly. But knowing you're there to support me means a lot. Thank you for believing in me, I'll keep trying to get better.
