@@Ninjamilk_ I enjoyed playing through the campaign. So there's that. I don't think that the gear based power systems for me so the end game didn't really win me over.

I know a lot of players look down on D3 compared to 1 & 2 but I unapologetically love it and wish you'd done way more with it.
I am currently rushing a friend through (paragon 98) so that part really amused the hell out of me. Looking through my stash "oh, here, have a Hellfire Ring, I've got 7 of them in the bank."
You can't trade the hellfire rings.

I look down on D2 compared to 1, but I've sunk *way* too many hours into D3. Sure, it's maybe not an *amazing* Diablo game (but neither is 2), but it's a very solid aRPG that, in spite of its age, holds up pretty well. Ironically, it holds up better than D4, which practically just came out.
Carbot not bothering to make more D3 videos tells you everything you need to know about the game's quality.

I love D3, I played it so many hours. I know it's not perfect, but I love it. The only thing that Blizzard failed at was Deckard Cain's death. Bro survives a fucking meteor but dies from a butterfly. I know he always was more a support and book worm type instead of a powerful mage, but he was the heart of Diablo and deserved a better death. 😢 Rest in peace, dear Deckard.

meh. the guy survived for 6 days wandering around the cathederal after the meteor. for an old man, that would have pushed him to the brink, and would have died anyway, regardless of anything. being killed resisting the demands of an enemy is a lot better than simply dying between acts, or at the end of the game.
@@mattoink992considering how juvenile is d3 story is, yes, grow up and forget that crap.... d4 tryied but only got good art.... better play the old games, I dont consider d3 and 4 diablo, and its not even made by the og team so diablo died when blizzard north team stopped.
I still prefer D3 to D4, and I'm not sure why. I think one reason is because it had Tyrael, Deckard, Diablo, Tristram and Leoric. D4 also had the obnoxious store button that pissed me off every time I opened a menu, and I felt bored while playing through most of it.
It's the small things mostly
In D3 you have a gold counter, a kill counter an object destroy counter and they all, aside from gold, come with extra loot whenever you try to link them long enough. ("Numbers go up" sounds like a stupid meme but it actually works)
You don't have a convoluted skill system that is trying to be something it most certainly isn't.
The whole game is just built around you being a crazy murder machine and you actually feel the progress in your story (loot) by manually selecting harder difficulties frequently until you reach the end at which point you get thrown into yet another number go up mechanic with rifts.
D4 meanwhile is undecided whether it wants to be an RPG an MMO or something else entirely. It just doesn't work. It wants to be casual enough to target the mass of users but at the same time it wants to grab the poe players. It can't do either correctly. I could probably go on and on but yeah..
And mind you i only compared it to D3 now, D2 players have a bunch of other problems with D4.
@@Haldjas_ I'm mainly a D2 lover, but compared to D4, D3 is so much better. At least it is fun bashing dozens of skulls in at the same time. In greater rifts I don't need to stop and look for items before the end boss (and waste time selling/deconstructing them). My main gripe with D3 is the power creep - 40 000% dmg increase from the set, then another 300% on top of them from a legendary, and then some more.
@@Fullgrym Yes that's also what i would say about D3, but i think it is still fun to play. I don't have that feeling in D4 at all sadly. It feels like i am constricted to a min max build right from the start while D3 is at least enjoyable with basic item stat improvements. Just going by the druid gameplay for example, you had to take a specific loadout to do anything at all.

I remember playing Diablo, Diablo II and Diablo III.
I spend some time in the 1st one, mostly with a friend. Even more time in the 2nd, with many playthroughs... and even more in the 3rd one ! Monk was so much fun
Rolling with a monk right now for seasonal. It's a fun class that I've underplayed compared to some others.

I was so disappointed Diablo 4 didn't have bone armor. I am a thiccromancer no more. Granted there are way more disappointing things in D4 than just no bone armor but to me that was a big one.
diablo 4 didn't have much of anything but a bunch of waste of time side quests. less skills than diablo 2, no skill leveling system, you get a mount but it's basically pointless because you'll keep having to get off it or you'll be stopped by some dumb barricade, skills are horribly weak but bosses are extremely weak and easier than mobs. i killed lilith like she was nothing. no endgame content either. there's a good diablo 2 mod that offers a ton of endgame content and item corruptions.
