I dunno if I give kudos to people who stuck around that long, or just point and laugh. I played from vanilla to Cata, and now it hits me in the age to see classic is at Cata. All the issues WoW would suffer after Cata were very obvious even then. So in the decade+ to follow, it seemed pretty obvious that WoW was sliding. PUG queues, P2W content, worsening story, increasingly toxic fanbase, etc. All of that was very apparent back around 2010.
same here. I've played since Vanilla, and it got me thinking about the friends I'd made, and the ones who I haven't spoken to in years. I hope they're doing alright. I miss them.
Man the end showing the expansions and state of the game hit hard. I just came back to Classic for Cata, I don’t mind the dungeon finder feature but so many of the people don’t even communicate. I see so many not even know how to play their classes. Things like druids not knowing what MotW is, resto druid only healing with rejuvenate, priests dpsing as holy, prot paladins not using righteous fury, fire specced mage using mostly frost spells, disc priest using only holy nova to heal, … it goes on. WOW holds a place in my heart, I’ve played off and on for twenty years and have wonderful memories with friends and guildies.

Thanks for the nostalgic vibes and for the great content.
It really is something watching it the full way through, not just the basic ride of the rise and fall of WoW, but also seeing the general development and maturation of early figuring-it-out Carbot to modern experienced Carbot.
I haven't laughed and cried so much while watching something in a very long time. I'll shed a tear for Fall of the Lich King until the day I die. That and "This is WoW" just hit so hard...
Yeah I only just started playing wow but it’s insane how you first pay for subscription, than you gotta pay for expansions and simply to use them you must have subscription. That and the wow token created a pay to win and you can also pay for levels and there’s skins and mounts locked behind money.
Don't play anymore, but man several moments here reminding me of just how fun the game used to be. World pvp could suck if you were just trying to do your thing, but massive spontaneous fights, invading other capitals, kiting bosses to other zones to watch them wreck everything...just doesn't happen anymore. Just rush rush rush to the endgame, grind the latest mechanic that will disappear as soon as the next expansion rolls around, then rush rush rush again.
I liked WoW, and this video does rather make me miss it. That said, everything you're talking about was awful. It was griefing on a mass scale, making the lives of all the low-level characters that were in the way miserable. The only form of PvP that was fun for everyone was the battlegrounds like Warsong Gulch.
I mean, open World pvp was mainly griefing (what includes kiting high level world bosses into low level zones) and the attack on capitals was still mainly PvE against the world bosses/faction leaders there, you rarely had any kind of balance.
I have memories of being in the 20s and joining a Zerg of Horde that made it as far as the forest south of Stormwind before Alliance lvl 60s found us and started culling anyone not max level. I play both WoW and FF14 and I cannot stress enough how both games are not comparable. FF14 hasan incredible story, but it's closer to a visual novel than a RPG and every classes are homogenised to the max. Raids and such are more of a syncronised dance on a circle or square platform than a chaotic fight that throws wild cards at you that you have to react and adjust to. In term of customising your gameplay experience and fights, WoW is still really fun (just ignore the "if given the opportunity, players will optimise the fun out of the game"). But that does not mean FF14 is not a joy to play either. I recommend playing both in intermitence

Wow won't be anymore like we use to know but I dont want to face a second "This is World of Warcraft". If there's an in between who's good enought, i'm sure that the core people will continue, and btw, to make me laught ! tyvm. see u ingame !
Wow players will admit this video conveys a lot of emotions and is rather accurate. The greed of blizzard was allowed by the players and lead to the end of a great game and community.
I tried a month long free trial when the panda dlc was coming out. It ended right when it finally came out, and I didn't want to pay a subscription. It was okay and I had my fun with the wolf character I made, but I had my fill by then and I did most things. The part about the WOW players immigrating to Final Fantasy Online is really true. I remember people talking about how the WOW players are so used to the WOW playstyle that it gave the FF players some confusion. Spiffing Brit used their ignorance to make a fortune off of them with in game money since the WOW players didn't realize that they could go to another server to get cheaper resources other than the price Spiffing Brit was charging on the auction.
I love it when you can tell that it was animated from experience and not just some wannabe that watched a few videos and said "I UNDERSTAND"

Omg this its a masterpieace i love it :D and i love the humor on it, as a 2004 wow player i enjoy this so much
Great job. And ending is really touchy
What a ride! I feel like we missed the one episode, about traveling across the whole world to only re spawn back at the beginning, should have been in here, you know?
I hope I want to see what will be the 10 years ahead. I hope it will be fun and that the licence give us some great moment. Wow won't be anymore like we use to know but I dont want to face a second "This is World of Warcraft". If there's an in between who's good enought, i'm sure that the core people will continue, and btw, to make me laught ! tyvm. see u ingame !
Escort quest was great lol. UD rogue rocking out in background.
Around twenty minutes in when the pala is doing an escort quest I felt that to my core lol
I love things like this. Like Gnome punting and Elf on, Elf off. Whos the tank..Thank you! I hate that when it does the I can't attack that lol
i didn't know Alliance could even get into the Wailing Caverns
This makes me want to go back to WoW so bad.
the very last scene pictured it perfect
Keep doing thiss im keep watching and liking, your work is gold! 🥰
Das ist einfach nur geil. Hat mich 1:30 std gut unterhalten. Gerade wenn man alles schon so erlebt hat. Geniales Video, danke🎉👊🏼✌🏻
"Hail to the king baby!" loved it (:
I Was not ready for that fanfare playing the alliance victory music in wsg lmaaaooo
So many consecutive laughs in such quick succession.
Coming up to 20 years with this game long live Facepull, FOR THE ALLIANCE !!
Thanks!
this brings back memories.and tears.
I could swear you already did wowcraft compilation.
The mage doing arcane blast in the BG is so accurate
This is amazing and has been much appreciated.
Wow players will admit this video conveys a lot of emotions and is rather accurate. The greed of blizzard was allowed by the players and lead to the end of a great game and community.
I think this is the best one yet! I love it!
Laughed the whole way through , crazy!
