I think the biggest thing I've learned from watching your challenge runs is "oh yeah, ACs can fly". I feel like I get hit so often by what feels like undodgable attacks while I'm on the ground, but taking to the air helps me dodge so much better.
I guess people were underestimating how different the game is from the Dark Souls/Elden Ring series. I was the same and the game felt kinda meh to me up until Balteus who kicked my ass so hard I developped Stockholm syndrome@@Worn-outGamer4
This video inspired me to make a Nachtreider ac with double viento and stun guns. Both have an almost identical reload speed and it takes about the same amount of time to empty the clip. So it really just turns into 100% pure aggression and pressure
I've been playing video games since the mod 80s; I can think of only 2 or 3 games that actually caused me wrist pain, and this is one of them. Its quad firing the arm and shoulder weapons. Ouch.
I love the laser pistols. Played NG+ and ++ with laser pistols, moonlight, and those laser aerods (whatever they are actually called). Very fun lightweight build.
Yeh I basically did this run on my first just cause I found the ideer of handguns only being a cool ideer. Good firearm arms, a nice close to mid range targetting system, and I was partial to jumpy legs. Having two sets always felt like the best for cycling and you're always working to be brawling as much as you can, since those little jerks have a pretty short effective range. Lots of fun.
I'm so mad about the G1 mission. Banged my head against it until I gave up on NG and did the other decision. Same thing on NG+. Imagine my horror when I didn't get the chance on NG++ because the story diverges. So now I would have to play the entire game again. For me, this is by far the hardest mission
go intercept the redguns mission I recommend the ransetsu RFs dual weilding them will make easy work of the MTs add melee on the side thats of your choice it should be easy S rank even if you want cheese ransetsu RFs plus stun needle
Great job. And it's so great that AC6 gives us the option to kick & Fist the world, when out of ammo. In the old games, to still be able to fight back when out of ammo. Your options are to have weapons and ammo extensions with a lot of ammo for the mission, Energy Based Exceeded Orbit drone Core, that recharges the drone ammunition when you put them away, and you must have radar units and other things for the highest ECM resistance possible, so the EO drones will still work in high ECM. Or, just have a blade with you. To do a pistol only run with the old games, like Nexus, Ninebreaker, and Last Raven. You have to have a hanger unit Core that can store backup pistols, but when they are all empty, you have no attack. So the other option is to have two of your favorite pistols out, twins or whatever, then your other favorite Right arm pistol that's still small enough for the Hanger-Unit (pockets), and a storable blade for the Left arm. Back units can be radar antennas, extra boosters, or nothing for less weight and energy drain.

I've did a similar run to this, inspired by your previous video of playing the entire game as LOADER 4 (With some changes, like the weapons and stuff, but not the entire body part) to get the Lore Accurate cutscene. I'm slowly getting my way through the entire game, currently at Chapter 1 at NG+ and it's a lot of fun. I didn't realize how low the stability of LOADER 4 is. It's easily staggered. You really need to anticipate enemy attacks and dodge them carefully. It's a lot of fun with this challenge. I'm currently stuck at the 'Battle at the Dam' mission that was requested by the Liberation front to eliminate both G4 and G5.
@@Worn-outGamer4 Yeah. They're a pain to work out with. Especially G4 Volta. I had fun fighting them as I had to re-try a couple times during practice runs before the actual thing. I wanted to get S-rank on it while using LOADER 4. It was a lot of fun. I'll keep your advice in mind when going for the real thing.
im calling it before the video that for pve youll use the laser pistols bcus after energy specialization they have the best stats and then for ac fights youll use the long ducketts or the burst pistols rusty uses for consistent dps/fast stagger
I genuinely think the Duckett handguns are the best guns in the game when used in double trigger on a fast build. It is kind of like having Zimmerman stagger on lighter guns so you can put some wacky punish stuff and still keep your ac quick (I used dual coral missiles)
Yup their pretty good while keeping the AC's weight low and impact high. I personally like the Coquillett more because of its slightly better fire rate.
I already finished using the LOADER 4 build for a challenge run and it kinda grew on me. Also whenever I do a challenge run in this game I try to simulate a fresh save file, and because of that I don't want to go through the headache of checking which frames unlock after what missions.
I already know it's possible, pistols are my second favorite weapon type. They make using my favorite weapon type (melee weapons) a lot easier with their amazing ACS strain, fast reload, decent semi-auto fire rate and steady pressure. Twin Duckettes also happen to look super cool when hangered on your back, imo.
I'm still working my way towards them, but thus far, what I've played around with, handguns slap. The Vientos are META for a reason, The Duckett is a BEAST combined with a Kurasawa, and that AMS interference burst pistol hits like a truck. Also, play around with weapon combos. Yeah it's fun, and looks cool to dual wield, but you might be shocked how much synergy certain combos have, seriously, try out Duckett and Kurasawa, basically you use the Kurasawa uncharged, or FULLY charged shots for stun punishes, and first stage charge in combination with the Duckett to build stagger.
Amazing game play great job! Handguns are actually quite good in this game and a lifesaver for light builds but my only complaint is it’s tiring to use because you can’t just hold the button down for it to keep shooting.
Dang not only did you do handguns only, but you basically had the regular Loader 4 the whole run and beat the ice worm with it. Not bad at all! The Good, bad, and true ending stuff is a little cringe though. It's a From Soft Game things are never that clear cut. It's just fire, liberation and release as far as I'm concerned.
Steel haze is miles better than ortus, close to mid range weapon, little bit long range with the plasma missiles, and faster too. Ortus wins by style point, but steel haze can clean up a playthrough breezy, even that destroy coral heli mission
The HG-004 Duckett does more damage than most rifles (only the LR-037 Harris Linear rifle does more per shot damage) and has a high rate of fire. The small magazine size and short range are the main drawbacks but after having its reload time significantly shortened and its total ammo capacity doubled the Duckett is now a very viable and dependable weapon. Does good damage in addition to its high impact potential. Standard MTs go down in just two shots. I would like to see all kinetic weapons have their magazine sizes exactly doubled while maintaining the same alpha damage while slightly reducing impact damage for balance. For example take the Duckett from 7 to 14 rounds in a magazine but keep the total impact damage of those 14 rounds as similar to the original 7 rounds.
I would like to note that the latest patches have seriously increased the ammo capacity of handguns. Bosses also have less HP. The sea spider was pissing me off. Without patches, not every weapon could do enough damage to kill him. There simply wasn't enough ammunition.

VP-66LH (more shots fired before reload/overheat, good direct hit damage, but lacks impact) 4. MA-E-211 SAMPU (good burstfire, a better HG-003 in stats except impact but for some reason I didn't like using it very much, it felt like it was missing something or I was missing my shots while using it)

I think the reason why it seems like these bosses and mini are not as aggressive is because of the patch, didn't that include fromsoft pumping the difficulty brakes down a little bit??? Not sure but I've definitely noticed a difference in boss fights or some of the more challenging missions, I go in aggressive as hell then all the sudden its like what am I doing flying around and dodging like crazy when enemy is barely pumpin it out, great content as always brother, and I really hope we get another patch or dlc, I really want them to open up the parts and customize them how we want, like I want to wield quad melee and weapon arms would be awesome as well...

Yup, flying in this game makes attacks easier to dodge. In this game verticality and speed is king; for me a least.
When you are in the air you can fall and rise as well as move around and also explosives can’t explode next to you without hitting the ground
No flying run? Lol
@@Louse1021that's just a wheelchair run.
