  • Check out our 13 week old puppy training update! Keep in mind everyone should train the puppy! Everyone in the house needs to be part of the training sessions with the new member of the family. Doing this will give you a more complete dog that is willing to work/obey in uncomfortable to them situations, by having structure from more than one voice in the household. In today's video Ethan does a progress report with 13 week old german shorthaired pointer puppy Hex, and does a short training session on handling and responding to different cues. Follow along to see the progress made in just one short training session.

I did this with my gsp puppy at this age and now at a year old I can tell him nail trim and he will come over and lay down when I say "lets trim your nails" :)

When is the best time to do the nail trimming session? First thing in the morning? Before/after training? Great content. Thanks

My GSP Penny is the same age as quest and I think we are probably at the same level as Hex training wise! I love that they are close in age and y’all post updates so I can make sure I’m also on the right path. Penny knows Sit, Here, Place , Kennel and working on heel. For heel I am positioning myself close to a wall and getting her to come in between my right leg and the wall so it’s a tight space for her to heel so hopefully I can train that tight heel to me . Do yall have any other recommendations on what training commands to add?

How do you work through a pup thinking they need to nip at your hands for here. I originally marked it because he was more just open mouthed when touching my hand, but now it's becoming a pattern. If I don't mark it he seems to nip harder.
