I got my Olina SE earlier this month.. I like certain things about it (changed the screen filter too, but left the foam damper in, way better) but i miss the timbre and slight warmth from my bl-03, very decent technicalities on the Olina SE though, these are both in my rotation now.
this kind of review might be frightening for other reviewer, you guys really brave the word "trust your ear", is really effective this way, if we know the price tag, the review might be bias, we want more like this at least every 6 month maybe, destroy more hype iem out there
This was good now someone should do it to you 😂 please make it a series where you host even random people just to see how people react to the different aspects of audio 👍 again good one 😊
This was a nice change of pace, I would love to see more spicy videos like this with the regular reviews and unboxings. Your review of the waner really helped me decide my first actual item.

You had some balls to accept doing this, at the risk of being ostracized from the community for saying bad things about beloved IEMs 😂You did good though! The Waner beating the brakes off Those Dita's was pretty funny though. WHERE'S THE EAR GAIN?!
I really enjoy watching this video. It's so fun watching people so nervous anticipating what's coming to them. Probably, you should increase the samples to 10 sets
Loved the video! I love doing these tests on friends who ask for recommendations; both to get a feel for their taste in sound signature, but also to just get an honest, inbiased opinion
Well Shuwa my respect for your fine sound sensing. From Wan' er I was enjoying it so much. t was a very fun, reinforcing, most of all an impressive educated ear from your special guest Timmy. Damn, he nailed to the spot a price and then same set, I don't know how many could do that, I have clear I'd never do, very good video. I was thinking I would have given ikko oh5 to contrast the Olinas, both DD. Now Shuwa needs to put your Sound Sensing Equipment to the test in a coming video. Really it'd be nice, do it before new year! Merry Christmas all!
That was awesome Tim. I love this video. This was fun. BTW… I ordered the Aful Performer 5. Hopefully will get them by next week. I’ll let you know what I think about them.
Would be even better to run the same test with non-hobbyists. Nobody outside the hobby listens for treble ‘extension’ or ‘textured’ bass. These are audiophile terms borne of comparing sets to other sets and graphs. Frankly, 1k+ iems are batshit insane. Maybe, mmmmaybe, they sound a bit clearer than budget, but nowhere near the difference people who purchase them would have you believe.
I was jumping and screaming all over my room when Shuwa said the Olina SE sound like a $250-400 set and then you approved it as well! I've purchased them after your recommendation on 11.11 for 70 bucks and I couldn't be happier, especially after my Shure SE215) Thank you for such a great advice and also thank you for this video, awesome idea and it just shows how much more you should rely on your ears and preferences, that the expensive set might not deliver for you while you could find a 20 dollar that would be perfect for you
I wasn't screaming, but i was glad too :)) I love my Olina SE apart from the condensation issue as well as the fit issue (i still haven't find a good seal tips yet), but it's feel kinda nice to have some kind of validation
@@VanDungLe2510 I hear foam tips can actually help a lot with condensation vs silicone. I too also love my Olina SE but my ears plus the current weather in Washington (cold af) makes condensation build up fast which recently results in one or both sides feeling clogged. A quick Qtip soaks whatever was on the filter and fixes the issue but I find I need to do it almost once every half hour. For that reason I've been using my Diokos and funny enough although I see condensation build up, it seems to only build up on the metal screen and not clog the sound like the Olina SE. I also haven't noticed clogging on my Truthear Zeros which also have a metal screen/filter. I haven't experimented with it but I might get some new filters then try and add the metal bit on top to see if it helps at all.
I'm glad to be the very few owner of the Feaeless x Crinacle Dawn iem. Wish I had the DUNU SA6 ultra, as I sold my SA6 previously due to that recess airly highs.

I would've liked to see you hand him a Variations. I have the T3+ rn and its a huge upgrade from the abysmal fit of my blon 03 and a spare KZ I bought in case the 03 breaks (it did lol). It's hard to believe audio can still get better from here and I'm looking for something to eventually upgrade to in the future.
I was kinda bummed when Shuwa said he preferred the Wan'er over the T3+ especially since I was deciding between the two before I placed my order. I wonder if I would've liked it more too. I could've saved some money
@@siniganggang96 yea T3 feels a bit cramped for me, i have the opportunity to try it before i bought it. went for aria instead, and am super happy with that sound. a friend gonna buy a wan'er, and i cant wait to try
He trashed the tin t3 plus and the Hexa. But validated the Olina se as being worth atleast 2x the price. That's the power of quality components + proper tuning.
@@avishekghatak2176 Same as the Aria or better perhaps, but at what cost? 4 drivers are meant to perform at 200 dollar range, why call out KZ then? Aria is better because it has a proper timbre.
He called the hexa average but said it was still better than the aria which means the aria is below average for him. And tbh the t3,dunu titan, aria, hexa are all pretty similar imo. it's just personal preference which divides them @@aurelian9817
"Do you feel enlightened and more confident in your listening abilities?" "No 😀👍🏻" LMAO. On a serious note, this dude has some freaking good ears, he knows the deal and definitely has good taste when it comes to audio. I love how he bashed on the hyped stuff.
This more or less proves Crinacle's point: you don't need to pay for tuning. He has preferences and it's apparent that more money gets you fancier tech, builds and accessories but not necessarily a more attractive sound. A 20$ iem might be the perfect one for you even after trying a 1k$ worth, you just may be a bass or bright-head, whatever the case. Cheap ones are more than capable in beating more expensive sets in clarity, soundstage and detail.
I have the Olina (normal ver) and loving it. My only problem with it that it easily fall off my ear. It feels like the eartip stem is not long enough for my ear. Will a change in eartips help? Any suggestion for "sticky" eartips?
how does wan'er compare to aria? which one should i get? i have chu and 7hz zero, but both are noisy at low volumes. i can hear the constant noise as audio is played.
He touched the cables while wrapping them around his ears in the first test. Perhaps you should have tried changing the cables out so they all got the same cable if they used the same plugs. Also if you are familiar with the iems as soon as you pick them up and feel the shape and texture you might have a pretty good idea what you’re using especially if you actually have the iems in question.
He Timmy I have 7hz zero laying around then i saw your video where you gave and eq for it do we have to apply preamp cause i was listening the other day it sounds fine out of phone output but as soon as I heard it with dac out of hiby app the bass sounds hallow and the treble is uneven
