The stock alcoa wheels have always been the best looking wheel on the 90s era trucks other than a set of weld super singles. The old set of wheels you took off are American racing outlaws. Popular in the 80s.
Hey Quinton !!! Great that you were able to find parts for that year truck in that condition !! Lots of work still needs to be done like total wheel alignment to stop cupping of the tires !!! 🤔🤔🙄😏🤠😎😎👀👀👍👍👍👍👍
Love the 97 Ford! My very first truck was a 1994 Ford F250! I loved that truck and owed it for over 10 years! Watching your videos brings back great memories! Keep up the great work!
I thought, when tightening lug nuts, you were supposed to tighten opposite nuts instead of just going around in a big circle. Did I learn that wrong, or is Quentin doing it wrong here?
Takes me back. I had a ‘97 crew that I bought new. Only had it a few years. I miss that truck. Love this series. I think I might have to try and find one!
I have a 97 F250 and I have to tell you that these trucks love those Lucas oil products. There is noticeable power and and the way it runs in lower RPMs to do 70 is nice. Mines has almost 375,000 miles on it. Also my truck has no mufflers of ANY kind on it 😁😁
Nice truck a couple years ago I had an F250 super cab the whole truck was same color as your grey strip it was hands down the cleanest 96 F250. I had the same oem Alcoa wheels it was completely stock other then the "TracRac" ladder rack I put on it I didn't want it to sit way over the roof line so I bought the one that fits a Toyota Tacoma or tundra wich sat about 1"-2" Over the roof. That truck got soo much attention everywhere it went
I really like the rare upgrades in my opinion the bumper and the tires definitely adds a lot more to this truck. I definitely think you should try detailing the truck I have faith in you that you can definitely do it.
I had a set of American Racing Outlaw 1’s just like you had on a Chevy years ago. I wasn’t crazy about the look BUT there was one big advantage….zero issues with having to clean brake dust off the front wheels. I could polish them and they’d hold a shine for months when cleaned up.
The wheels look way better than the solid ones, as for detailing it I'm unsure. I personally would give it a "Spit and Polish" (Quick clean,) and job done as it is a work truck. Now if it is your personal transport then go all in and send it to the detailers. Just my opinion, but it's looking so much better. 👍
I would use the professional for the detail, they have the experience with paint correction. But tell them you will do the ceramic coating use avalonking. He has a great product and easy to use! Love the old iron!
Love the show. You seem like a great guy to work for. I've been heavy equipment neck for 25 years places in Alberta Canada great guys like shot. Wish we had guys like you cheers
You're going to love that for you going to take care of it it's going to take care of you you're going to be happy with that thing for as long as you own it.
Man tires are so expensive. Bought some KO2s for my f250. Got 5 cause the spare was junk. Over 2,000 bucks. Just wild. Give it a shot detailing it. It isn't a difficult job. You can always take it to the pro later for cleaning.
Smoke wrench for bolts that don't cooperate. I did not look at your half inch Milwaukee socket buster but if it's the mac daddy 1400 foot pound unit it will twist thoes bolts off now. and while you are under there cut off that old trash leftover trailer hitch. Finish with a can of satin black rustoleum spray and done.
You should give a price break down on all the parts even if it's off craigslist. That way we would have a rough amount to go off of. Great video like always keep them coming
I think you should leave detailing to that pro, he already have all tools and cleaning stuff in his shop. You can then keep doing those mechanical stuff on it, like better headlights and some for rear for to see working with trailer or anything in that area of truck. Maybe stronger leafsprings to rear axle, it kind of looked like little nose up, even nothing on hitch. Can make it better driven when towing heavy trailer. Gooseneck trailer?? Anyway it looks kind of cool as is, make it even better, keeping it still looking 25 years old style workhorse.
Ake sure you get the proper lug nuts the ones it should have are flat locks if you see the alcoa oe wheels dont have the bevel for the type of nuts you used . Great content btw just subsbed want to see more 7.3 content 👍🏻
Be smart and have some one do the detail that has all the right equipment which you don’t! You do what you do best. (your job) and let them do there job, ( their best)!!!

It's really heartwarming to see this Ford has found a good home! So many good trucks get scrapped way before their time...
Let the professional detail it and time lapse his efforts. Great job keeping the truck original. It looks amazing!!!
Yessir it does...
You have a broken spring on left back side
Right side rear also

The spare on the truck looks original. Might want to consider using one of the tires you replaced as the new spare.
Keep up the great work on the 97 Ford. One step at a time and it’s going to be a awesome truck. Great content
Nothing like a classic work truck all shined up and easy to keep clean. Do it up !

Those were the rebranded International Diesel engines back then?
I had a set of those rims with the caps and lug nuts that I sold about 6 months and the guy was stoked to find them.
A set of carhart covers will help the new seat stay in excellent shape
Nice find on those wheels.
I thought, when tightening lug nuts, you were supposed to tighten opposite nuts instead of just going around in a big circle. Did I learn that wrong, or is Quentin doing it wrong here?
Dont forget your license plate light and trailer connections bud they may come in handy some future time. Still a sweet looking truck.

Nice addition to the fleet, congrats! Certainly looks as tho it'll be a workhorse. Thanx !
To be honest I think this truck deserves a proper detailing by a real pro... No offense!

I drive a 14 6.7, man does this make me wish i still had one of these. And a manual. Subbed.

I love the super troopers reference at 13:32!
That OBS is looking very nice. Love the, OEM wheels
What a awesome truck. All you need now is a programmer, big front bumper and winch.
My favorite year
What about the broken leaf on the left rear spring??
Love the show. You seem like a great guy to work for. I've been heavy equipment neck for 25 years places in Alberta Canada great guys like shot. Wish we had guys like you cheers
Leave it to the detailer he's equipped for the job.
Good lookin’ rig!
That thing is sweeet! Keep on truckin
Can't stay tight when its liquid! A torch set is worth their weight in gold sometimes.
That's one sweet motor .
I think I would have let the detailer do his magic while the seat was out to get the carpet better.
The truck looks absolutely fantastic
That's a awesome classic truck and your'e making look a lot better. Keep up the good work!
i have those wheels on all my 8 lug trailers super cheap for what they are
That's a nice truck that's a keeper.
Nice job youngster, definitely get detailed and waxed. It will make last at least your lifetime.
While you have the seat out, you should take the time and scrub those floors. Great looking rig man!
nice transformation! driver side rear 2nd leave is broke.
Make sure you check your spare tire we had one under a truck had never been used was dry rotted out on the top where you couldn't see it
You're going to love that for you going to take care of it it's going to take care of you you're going to be happy with that thing for as long as you own it.

new trucks are NOT as good as the old stuff. Keep it rolling.

Both rear leaf springs need replaced, one of the leafs on boths sides is a large part of it.
I wood like to see you take it on oh by the way I love your videos and I hope a get me one of those shirts
@14:12 I had enuff I've a 21y.o. .boy and frustrated e'one w/in earshot..
I think you should do some performance stuff to the old girl wake the old 7.3 up
Amazing what a wheel swap can do. I like it...100%. Good job!
She is looking real Good
I noticed you also left the rust on the brackets. Why? New bumper, clean the brackets and paint them.
You should give a price break down on all the parts even if it's off craigslist. That way we would have a rough amount to go off of. Great video like always keep them coming
You have a broken lift spring on driver side rear 👍🏼

I can't believe you didn't torque those ftont wheels properly, a torque wrench and in a pattern.
need to original Ford center caps to complete the look
They are spendy, 1 for the rear, new old stock is around $85.00, but they are the icing on the cake.
@@nathankoroush7918 Alcoa Dually centers fit these wheels perfectly.

Looking good
I would definitely fix that driver's rear leaf spring that's broke👍
Left rear leaf spring pack has a broken spring.
You didn’t show us the reverse light working
Nice thing too thrade fore a chevy
No license plate light? Did the torch burn the wires?
You had someone filming while you could have been getting help with the seat ?sure
What about the broken driver side leaf spring
Little oil spray and paint touch up, and she all be like new
Those m-55s would run longer in their condition than those others did new
Throw her in reverse and we'll tell ya if that Cat backup light is working. 👍
Lol that wasn't a star pattern you went clockwise it's not going to balance
Where's the front driveshaft?
Remove the boxes out the back give your self some room
You need a straight pipe and downpipe asap.
Looks like your new brake line is leaking
drivers rear has a broken leaf in the spring pack
Looking good, polish her up 😃
Let the pro clean that thing up.
Also, GREAT job!
On both sides
Hay Quinton what's the leak on frame of the truck left rear by the black pipe at 8:30 is it the brake line
Oil container spilled in the bed
Its not a 97.wrong tailgate the 97s had no aluminum panel, just the badge and the Ford emblem on each side. Also the badge should say heavy duty .
Dose that extra light work
But has both side broken leaf springs
Unbolt the seat belt and pull it up from the bottom.
Naw, let yo boi do it and video him.
Oh and you need new springs
Come on meow!
Supertroopers right there
Alcoa still makes that wheel
let the professional detailer do it. and that will let you do your job
