I just started using my RO Bucket 3 hrs. ago. Cold sap brix reading was 2.5 going in to unit and read 7.75 coming out! Guess I won't be staying up late tonight:)
From the little I know about it a RO system like these here that he offers can reduce boil time in half . So if it takes you 8 hours to boil X amount it will reduce it to 4 hours of boil time saving you in time and LP cost.
A few years ago I was looking into an RO system for my hobby Maple Syrup, the only commercial products were large scale systems for $$$. I had to jury-rig one together. This RO bucket looks great, and is an affordable price. I typically can get 60% to 75% of my water off, so it still requires boiling, but it cuts my boil time by 60 to 75%.

So my understanding is that sap run through this process does still require some boiling down but not as much obviously as raw sap - correct?
