Hey Francis, great video. I Like when we see ur face better imo, but enjoy ur review vids always either way. The more details the better tho! Also, they make nice oil filled shocks for the 1/24 and 1/18 scale crawlers now. Put some on my scx 24 c10 and they really work nicely. Have a great day buddy. ✌️
The rear end on mine has way too much slack. My rear differential clicks because the gears have so much slack that they don't stay meshed. That's my biggest gripe.
Since you can get spare parts for these, maybe add the one piece (molded as a one-piece tube style) rock sliders from the LC80? Or just cut the steps off with side cutters.
I watched this video almost exclusively to see the ground clearance. This is a better designed truck, IMO, than the Toyota LC80/RocHobby Katana because the frame is really tucked under the body, or recessed into the floor pan. There's less of a scale interior as a result, and/or less room for intact 1/18 figures.
Would you be willing to do a video about upgrading this and other 1/18’s with weighted wheels? A few years ago somebody did a couple videos of the gen1 katana and CR18 with wheel weights and the improvement there was a noticeable improvement
Bit of a noob question since I'm new to rc car. Will an LED lighting kit, similar to the one your reviewed on your Toyota pickup which I believe is from Killer Hobbies, work on this particular rc? I know it has some accommodations for headlights, signal and brake lights but I sort of want the more realistic somewhat AI control of all the lights, rather than pressing the button for high, low beams, etc. Much obliged sir.
I just found out they came out with an easy rc budget version called the Triton that doesn’t have the unlit light bar on the bumper. Better color tho but cheaper looking tx. Could you do a comparison to the FJ?
I want a couple of small rigs for inside/winter. I’ll prob do that axial but that Jeep sure sounds good too. I have been meaning to do this for about three years. I would spend lots of time in the basement building/modifying the track and running it. 🤟🏼
Does anyone have any idea how to get this to work? The company is hopeless and won't help me or even respond. All mine does is just flash lights on the car and controller. Nothing works. Any ideas?
I had 3 Gens ace Adventure LIHV batteries. All of them puffed out or went out of balance after 6 months so I had to throw all of them away. Very disappointed but never had that issue with a bunch of other Gens Ace batteries I've used.
Sorry about this Francis but, are you trying to downgrade your videos quality? This fpv looked like a ship in rough water and the running video was even worse Take the camera off your chest and get a videographer with less shackie hands and that can keep the car in frame This video really isn't on par with what you have been producing I know you are trying to shake things up a bit but don't do it literally 😜 Keep it up 👍
I miss the excitement in your face when you like a vehicle like this .
:) We'll mix it up here and there.
I get sea sick with your new videographer.
I prefer full frontal Francis

I love how thorough and technical your videos are
Just ordered one of these just before the sale ended. Love the Fj and can't wait until it gets here.

Another thing that excites me about this one is it’s got a slightly lower center of gravity than the katana

🤞 for a Jimny/samurai

looks really nice, seems a lil bit too springy but overall great value, chinese manufacturers are upping their game.
Looks great. Kinda have a thing for the real one. Love them idk why.
Cool video, thanks for the comparison, on my rochobby katana I was able to fit the scx24 hex wheel weights 🙂

Excellent looks nice , I looked at real one , it had 250k miles and still wanted 11gs
crazy huh? Resale value on these and Tacomas is crazy
Yup. Seen them with under 100k miles going for 40grand! That's almost twice the original purchase prices with 0 miles. (depending on optional extras)

Where can I get that awesome army green old toyota truck in the background of the driving video?

Hello just wanted to know if you did the modifications that you were saying can we get an update vid?
Hi great vid. But not liking fpv. Much better with static camera facing you. Thanks
Nice car. Seems capable but not enough to pay 200 bucks (ie shocks)

Am I crazy or is the modulation on the FJ better than the Katana?

Awesome bro..
Oil filled shocks?
Please make a new trx4 video :)
I just saw a comment you made on Gens Ace Adventure puffing...can you do a followup video on the long term use of these lipo ?
thanks alot

About 30 minutes of constant use.

It's cute, but I'll stick with my HPI Venture for my FJ fix 😂😂
HPI Venture is a nice one. Too bad they never updated and there's aftermarket
