Very nice video! The real truck does have a hood like that. I am trying to replicate my real FJ with a RC. The cheaper version has the ARB bumper and no snorkel like my real one. However, I can’t decide if I want to compromise on the quality. Also that packaging is on point! Thanks again for a great review.

Thanks for clearing that up. I bought the blue one last week. Right now I'm in the process of fixing the leds. Always wanted actual reverse lights. So i put a small hole in the rear lenses and i added white leds and took the red out. Then i want to tap into the lights that are always on like the head lights and put red in the back. This way they will always on. But first i want to see what the extra ports do. I want to add lights to the front bumper too. Also anywhere else that needs them. Thanks for sharing!! I'm gonna check out your other videos on the same subject too. How's the WPL 1/16th LC80 Toyota coming along??
I totally agree with you. I am all about lights and the annoyance of how the rear lights work is too much for me. Glad im not the only one!

Channel 5 switch on/off dragbrake. Metal vs. plastic frame rails and axle gears.
I tried that and nothing happened. Also, the frames on mine are the same. I wonder if they changed that. Axles...ill take your word for it.
@@AMPROEngineering No, do not do it, only for drag brake and metal gears in axles, I did test it in the licensed FJ.
It works.I show it in my video ad 13:03 ("Toyota FJ Cruiser in 1/18 by FMS: A winner!").
I do not have the FJ EazyRC, only the Patrion/t and the Arizona, which have plastic frame rails and gears, maybe they changed this in the FJ.
I show metal frame at 23:00 and metal gears in axle at 25:55. I doubt the blue EazyRC FJ does have metal gears, if it has metal frame rales, this is an upgrade to the other EazyRC models.

Well.....ill make this easy. The C24 is a much better outdoor driver. These are perfect for inside.
I think you should swap the blue trucks ARB style bumper onto the yellow one. It looks way more fitting to the FJ Cruiser body

They do well, clearly they are small and can't do a lot of what the big boys can.

I guess a HW 1080 esc cleans the throttle response up pretty good. Seen a guy run one on the fms Chevy k10 longbed truck.
They are rock solid. I have a number of them.
The FMS with having a metal frame seems to be a little more capable than the ez rc brand because of their plastic frame's the weight does help but that's my opinion
The weight really is a help. I think they are killing the Eazy RC brand in favor of a simpler electronic equipped FMS with metal parts.
I need one! Does the controller make a difference and worth paying the extra for the FMS or do they handle the same?
Eh, I like the controller for the FMS way more but I do not think it is worth the cost.

No you cannot and should not. The gearboxes are designed for low speeds, anything faster will put greater stresses on the driveline and they will fail. If you want something faster, you may want a different car.
If only the FMS came in blue, all of our problems would be solved... Guess you'll have to swap bodies, but you'll still miss the FJ cruiser sticker on the blue body from the "yelloh-range" tailgate... sigh

Does anyone have any idea how to get this to work? The company is hopeless and won't help me or even respond. All mine does is just flash lights on the car and controller. Nothing works. Any ideas?
They wont reply? Usually they reply in a day. It sounds like they need to be re-bound. There should be some how-to videos on that on YT. Hopefully that's all it is

They are pretty darn good!
They look kind of jerky on the throttle.
The throttle is pretty smooth, it's more like they are so light that instead of hitting an obstacle and slowly crawling over it, they tend to bounce into things and bounce over them.
I've had three of them. They all suck. Returned each one for the same thing. Striped plastic gears in the diffs. JUNK!!!!

I've had 2 fjs and 1 landcruiser and they all did the same thing. Clearance sucks too springy, too top heavy. Had to add stick on weights just to climb 2x4s. Horrible foe the price. Save a few more pennies and by an scx24 and see what real climbing is all about.
My indoor scx24s climbs all over furniture and the course I made. The jf and the Toyota couldn't cut it.
Motor in them is weak also. I am running stock motors in the scx's and they run circles around the 1/18s.
Tore diff gears out of all three.
