The tank inspector section of this video is evidence as to why you should check your audio track balances before you post to youtube. Other than that, great review :).
Jingles when opened up the Tank Inspector the video audio went wonky and we can barely hear you idk if it was the dog or YT or something else Also it was the T-150 driver that calling him a "cheater"
The dog was making loud noises, and the mic or the software is preventing the loud noise recording, so compress the sound, jingles didn't know that and speak at the same volume, so result in low noise. As of the T150, I face quite a lot of them in my autoloader. There's even one time, enemy light tank call me a cheater because I keep bouncing his shot in a Sherman, wtf?
I enjoyed using the second gun more than the autoloader. It let me keep more fire going out against targets that were not in cover, and also seemed to help the MM weight. This tank is stupidly good though, because it can, in the right hands, solo pretty much any tier 7 tank and have health to spare. The HP pool is something to be shared with your team! It's still a heavy tanks amount.
3:25 or so onwards you mention that 9.1 now shows actual view range, it doesn't that is XVM doing that for you. See here: XVM-5.3.1: * adaptation to WoT 0.9.1 * show actual view range, gun reload time and signal range in the tank params in hangar
18:20 - GWP just killed Circon, yet 15 seconds later you're still sitting around the corner because it can be "sitting in the bushes pre-aimed at the corner". No it can't, you only were spotted 10 bloody seconds ago, you should've used them to get going!
Sp33dyStallion False, apply cool, but not cold, water to burned area if it is a superficial (1st Degree) burn, in the event of a partial thickness (2nd Degree) or full thickness (3rd Degree) burn, clean the affected area (If possible. For a second degree burn, take something for the pain, because those hurt like motherfuckers, trust me), and seek immediate medical attention. TL;DR: Cold water (or ice) can damage tissue, apply cool water instead. Treatment also depends on the severity of the burn, for severe (2nd degree and above) burns, seek immediate medical attention. ==============★ The more you know!
***** If you don't consider the risk of being at R NG's mercy on the matter of reload and accuracy, the extra time needed to get the crosshair of a low gun depression tank at the target and the possibility of not eliminating the threat at the end of the clip then yes you're right. Facing artillery off at close range can never go wrong
BohemianEagle what #Mayclore said above. Grille moved, M41 died, LeFH died, GWP fired and probably never had the time to aim on that corner, we're talking 10 seconds here. Well, that replay gave me some surprising butthurt anyway, so I'll just pass on this one.
This is nice. I was looking for a proper video on Chi-Ri just a week ago and couldn't find anything that wouldn't bore me or was even remotely helpful or from new WoT version. Thanks Jingles. :)
Loved the video! I really liked the background music that you added too because I often would find myself waking up with my computer on the floor and the video being done because I fell asleep to your voice while you were talking about all the tank's details. This time I stayed awake! :)
RedVelocistar in the garage? i never watch the garage parts, only the violent bits! btw, i have evidence that I watched the video, because if i didnt, i wouldn't have known that jingles said a T-150 was a KV-3 ;)
Thanks for a great review video Jingles, a minor constructive thing I want to point out, your volume level for your voice input appear to be unbelieveably low at around the 4:40 point, and I've noticed that I've had to turn my volume to absolute maximum on everything to pick you up, maybe you should try turning up that volume for a few videos and see/hear from the audience if there's a positive difference.
I love my Chi-Ri with the auto-loader. Just like you point out Jingles, it's much more than meets the eye. It can really surprise people with that rapid-firing gun and it's agile enough to take advantage of it.
Thank you Jingles, you actualy helped me into finally selling my Chi-To because now I know that the Japps tech tree is a waste of time and nerves. I am honestly thankful since I've wasted hours and hours on the Japps and now I am free of their horible engine sound, armor, accuracy etc. Thank you
Things to note: Because the Chi-Ri can mount non autoloading guns, it can mount a gun rammer, reducing the total magazine reload time, but not the individual shots. The top engine is absolutely worth researching, the second turret is almost double the weight of the stock turret, making that 10% better engine hp a worth while investment to move that brick around. The top radio is not worth equipping on this tank, it adds 340 extra kg to the tank. This tank was my first crew tank death, after taking a bishop round through the roof killing the last 4 of my remaining crew.
The thing which I love about this tank is the amount of fire damage you can do. If all of you're shots are aimed at the engine and they penetrate then that tank's chance of being set on fire is trebled. So aiming at a tiger's lower glacius will give you around a 60% chance of burning him to the ground
I call it my Paper Tiger.... it messes with other peoples heads.... they don't expect a lot until they get slapped around :). You really have to play the angles and be smart with this tank. The gun is what makes this tank !
i wonder why the Chi-Ri in WoT didnt get the type 99 88mm gun, which the big turret was also designed for... i mean they have a lot of tanks that got guns that where barely meant for them but a tank that lacks only a REALLY good gun (while imo this one is good enough) to be a great tank, doesnt get one.
Funny how only a handful of WoT players know that gun rammer is tank specific and NOT gun specific! Therefore, you can mount gun rammer on Chi Ri even when gun with autoloader is mounted (same rule for 59-16).
When I first unlocked the CR I didn't think I would keep it until I mounted the 75 autoloader. This tank is a of fun. It's a bullet hose. You can mount a rammer to the autoloader and your mag reloads are cut down to eight seconds. It's a challenge to play but well worth it.
Good review. You should mention that this is the only auto loader that can fit a gun rammer. With vents you should get your reload time down to 8 seconds.
Did I miss something in Mingles with Jingles 60 when you were talking about the line-up of videos this week? I thought this week's videos were going to be short! Not that I'm complaining. This is a pleasant surprise. Oh Jingles, you so silly.
Jingles, um, something I noticed about this video is that your voice starts fading out until it is barely audible when you fire up the tank inspector. Other than that, a very informative video as usual. :) I guess one could say "Your mileage may vary" about the Type 5 Chi-Ri.
Jingles, I have a great segment from an earlier version of WOT, perhaps 8.7, where I faced 3 TOGs with my Type-5, on the winter map of Severogorsk...I should send it to you. I can say, the Auto-loader was the big factor in that win for team. --Good games for the drivers, well done.
To be honest, this Chi-Ri driver libass (playing on Mines) made a series of crucial mistakes. In particular, he keeps forgetting how many shells he has in his magazine, trying to fire a forth shot, which very often makes him take an enemy shot. He pokes out in front of a pre-aimed heavy tank having only one shell in his magazine. It's a miracle this worked out for him.
thank you so much.... i dont really watch TV, and no one has uploaded a good youtube vid.... this one is 42 min long... perfect! i needed to pass an hour, and thank you!
I know I enjoyed my Chi-Ri once I got the autoloader. It wasn't the easiest tank to play, but the matches where I got things right, it was beautiful. Easily one of the best tier 7 medium tanks if in a competent and map-aware player's hands. This tank is by far the best way to get someone to rage, aside from artillery. It's a big target, sure, but with its' autoloader, and being rather nippy at going forwards and backwards it makes it a rather slippery target despite its overwhelming size and lack of armor. I've been called a hacker with this tank far too many times to count. The only real downside I found aside from the obvious lack of penetration and the armor values, was the fact that the front of the tank's hull sticks out pretty dang far from where you can actually point the gun, meaning when you think you're hidden, or when you're going to pop out to empty your clip before they can react, you actually have your tank's beer-gut sticking out in the open, an easy target for anyone that can aim their gun. Oh, and artillery players love to shoot at the thing. It's their wet dream.
I was doing some internet sleuthing and apparently the Japanese actually considered the Chi To and the Ch Ri to be heavy tank designs. Might explain the size I suppose.
I very recently got the autoloader for the Chi-Ri, (I play on a standard account, no free XP bought either). It took a couple of games to work out the kinks in it, but by my 5th game with the autoloader, I was did 2000 damage in a tier 8 game.
Coupla points Jingles. One is that this is the ONLY autoloader you can equip a rammer with. Also, that radio operator is not used in any tanks up the tree so you can use it on the prem tier 5 and this tank. Lastly this tank needs a GLD even with 1.7 aim time as the ROF. that's very high. 15 add to that the turret traverse 36 (very high) and prime targets are 200-400m. I find that if the aim time of 3s or more that a GLD is warranted but this is a special case. You will find because the tank is so slow that being still and shooting (or rather machine gunning down) targets works very well with this setup. With a 370 view range you could run with bino/optics but you are not the spotter. Rammer, vents and GLD makes this a terror.
I picked up this tank last weekend and used free XP to unlock all the upgrades. It's... interesting. You definitely have to plan out your attacks carefully, and support is crucial. The best tactic is to let a team member draw fire, then pop out and unload your magazine before they can reload.
Maybe you could do an update review series on tanks that have had their specs changed since you reviewed them? For example the IS-3, which has gotten an even bouncier turret. With the IS-3 you could then show a really good use of hull-down position and angling (I'm angling like a madman in it and the spaced armor eats rounds so often they rage in chat about it being OP, specially when I find a place where I hide the front and glacier and can angle from hull-down position). Its also real fun to facehug other IS-3's now with the new turret and then pen them time and time again while they bounce because you know where to shoot them and they don't.
22:30 reminds me: i have KV1 and howitzer on it. once i hit that little tier 3 german TD (dont know how it is called) for 16 dmg. i still dont understand... i do more dmg to another KV1 from front :D 26:16 needs to get into voice mod pack :D
Jingles is getting more and more senile with each video... Saying there is 4 arty on the enemy team in a match where in truth there were 5, mistaking a T-150 for a KV-3 and not correcting himself, saying the guy should have "blown his wheels off" instead of tracks..... I'm worried
@ 3:24, Jingles points out that with 9.1, your Actual and Base View range are now shown in the Garage Stats on the right, but I don't see this feature in the update or referenced anywhere -- does anyone know if this is actually part of the Hangar mod he's using, or am I just missing a tick-box in my WOT settings somewhere? Thanks for any help with this...
Hi Jingles, what a great replay! I have a question: at 23:22 the friendly JPanther has its marker (on the minimap) crossed with a line, what does that mean? Also at 38:32 north-east corner of the map, SU-122-44 and Lorr. 155-50, are they special tanks or what?
I think I might like that one. I drive a lot of low armor tanks, so the whole idea of, well just do not get hit is normal for me. The speed and mobility seems decent, and that gun seems great.
I guess the internets first priority is to have impeccable grammar, even though, you know, it's completely irrelevant. Oh well, I guess the internet really IS where assholes live.
Finally gave up the game in January because of the horrible lag (packet loss through Telia), so thx Jingles for showing what could have been. Love your vids.I played NA servers.
I don't know, if it is ok to place a link to another video. If not, sorry Jingles. But you have to see this one: WoT: Chi-Ri Review! Jingles showed some games of super players in tomato and pumpkin set up, real life is shown in the video above
ok - my own conclusion is that this tank is basically all rounded - it's good at everything ( except things that involve armour or angling ) and it's niether bad at nothing else ( always except anything involving armour or angling )
The fact that 2 best games you could find were unicum platoon stomping tomatoes and one good player dominating mines encounter against 15 idiots speaks volumes about this tank.
The Chi-Ri is amazing!... Against something of equal or lower tier. The problem is is that because it only gets a 7.5, and this does not apply to the Panther because of it's great penetration, it really just beginds to fail. Now, it does how a fairly nice health pool, so it can really bully, but because it is so big and weak, it is so much easier to bully especially at tier 9.
I tend to just call premium armor piercing "OP AP" also I really enjoyed the Chi-Ri just because its one of those tanks you don't see many of, and so people underestimate it.
The redeeming thing about the Chi Ri is being able to put out 3 shells for almost 400 damage per magazine, move back into cover and fire off another 3 rounds after less than 10 seconds of reloading. The aim time and gun handling is rather good, and it should be played as a support-sniper tank.
I was actually very surprised to see this review after I saw that other one WoT: Chi-Ri Review! only two days ago. That shows another face of the Chi-Ri, a highly explosive HP/XP pinata. I am a bit confused now.
that feeling you get when ur un a death star and you shoot someone at the same time as a mid tier light tank and they get the kill despite only doing 150 damage to your 1500
I preferred the 2nd replay over the 3rd. TJ maybe had to work slightly harder, yes(maybe? i'm not sure), but he had a platoonmate to rely on, while libass was alone. Also, they were both "probably-unicums" since they shine purple in the XVM, while libass is your old faithul joe average player. Who had to work harder, two very good players or one good/average? It's up for debate. Anyway, nice review.
Other way to research the modules on Chi-Ri, Engine first, then the Turret, then the auto loading gun, tracks last, also you want to mount Type 96 Mk.4 Bo Radio, it's a lot more light and helps your acceleration. Why the engine first ? Because it's almost half a ton lighter and it let's you mount the 2nd Turret and the auto loader without researching the tracks, but keep in mind to mount the lightest radio to do that. I hope I helped some people with it. Oh and trust me The Engine Is Worth Spending that 11k XP on it that 50HP is a lot for this tank especially wif you want to fit the 2nd turret permanently so I have to disagree with Jingles here (please don't flame me xD).Tanoshimu!
Only Rhine-metal health bar meltdown when hit outmatches the great fun of derping Chi-Ri with SU-152! I'm grinding both atm and unlike Jingles, I have had either great or awful games in my Chi-Ri.. quite a roller coaster tank! And the funny thing is that my highest xp is the Chi-Ri achieved one.. whether the game i played was really that great or WG is rather generous when giving xp to this tank, I don't know... everything is strange about the Chi-Ri and one can really hardly review it without loads of counter arguments.. Cheers!

Interested to see the Japanese tree in War Thunder groundforces..
Indeed. Though I believe a British line would be fun..
How the f did you get here so fast shermqan he lieraly posted this 4 minutes ago...
How do i always see you here sherman ? Cause i'm subbed to you ?
Sherman do u think that that big ass japanese arty thats in MOWAS?
Brice loy I was looking at my subscription box, trying to update it to see a Roosterteeth video - then this popped up :)

Don't you just love people with bad tempers?

Pearl river was a great map. A lot of maps removed over the years.

(M4 Sherman)-yeah i have 50mm of armour at the front... its not that good. how bout you?
(Japanese medium tank)-what is armour?
get it?
Misconception: The Sherman's armor was bad. It was on fact almost as good as the Tiger's frontally due to the angle of it.
Tracker947 thats what i meant.
4:30 Why does it go so quiet all of a sudden? I had to max out the volume on my speakers and I still couldn't hear anything but a low mumble. :(

Sean Quaid Maybe he meant that the player missed the cupola
***** (It was a joke & IRL I have OCD so calm down)
God damn jingles, when you were reviewing the armor, the sound was freaking low! :P The music was by far louder...
when i see this tank on the battle filed, i do not get scared what ever i am driving in. i really dont think there is anything to be scared of
It's worth pointing out that even being an autoloader, this thing can use the gun rammer.

Thanks for any help with this...
I love this video for the derpy Churchill GC that survives in the cap circle
Hi Jingles, what a great replay! I have a question: at 23:22 the friendly JPanther has its marker (on the minimap) crossed with a line, what does that mean? Also at 38:32 north-east corner of the map, SU-122-44 and Lorr. 155-50, are they special tanks or what?
When you switch to tank inspector the speech sound turns pretty low and the music goes louder.
I think I might like that one. I drive a lot of low armor tanks, so the whole idea of, well just do not get hit is normal for me. The speed and mobility seems decent, and that gun seems great.
Jingles your too quiet at 4:50
You're*
was the dogs fault
You're
I guess the internets first priority is to have impeccable grammar, even though, you know, it's completely irrelevant. Oh well, I guess the internet really IS where assholes live.
+The Unknown shutup
Finally gave up the game in January because of the horrible lag (packet loss through Telia), so thx Jingles for showing what could have been. Love your vids.I played NA servers.
Loved that raging T-150 at the end.
video is 42 minutes long and i dont know why but i enjoy every minute of it that is something i dont do very often
After my first encounter with this little machine I now always make it a target when it comes in view.
"The radio man is bleeding we cant relay on him" well strap him to the front of the tank as extra armor.
Can't "relay" on him - 5 years later, am I the first one to notice this ... get it? Relay?
I don't know, if it is ok to place a link to another video. If not, sorry Jingles.
But you have to see this one:
WoT: Chi-Ri Review!
"you'll never kill a tank by shooting the gun" -Jingles 2014- Tell that to the Deathstar Jingles
42 minutes!! but my final exams!!!
they will have to wait...
Jingles at 4:25 you might want to start getting closer to your mic and turning your music down. You were very quiet.
Tank Inspector part, your voice was quite quiet compared to the WoT music in the background
Your voice trails off at 4:30...
I tend to just call premium armor piercing "OP AP"
also I really enjoyed the Chi-Ri just because its one of those tanks you don't see many of, and so people underestimate it.
Just put on quickybaby's replays my 8 kill game in the Chi-to.... it was a loss though, ran out of ammo.. Nice to see the Chi-Ri carries more ammo.
The redeeming thing about the Chi Ri is being able to put out 3 shells for almost 400 damage per magazine, move back into cover and fire off another 3 rounds after less than 10 seconds of reloading. The aim time and gun handling is rather good, and it should be played as a support-sniper tank.
Err Jingles not to state the obvious but at about 4:00 your mic cut out and we (or I can barely hear your voice).
in the 8.10 first impressions video you said the Power to Weight was apalling, here you say its not bad
I can just imagine Jingles doing quotations with his fingers when saying armor for this tank...
you have to read the comments of that t-150 in the 3rd replay xD
"remember. if the enemy is raging, you are doing something right"
Sound at 4:40 is really quiet. Can hardly hear you.
4:50 sound cut out
yikes, but thanks for trying
Just to let you know Jingles, you can put a gun rammer on this gun even with the autoloading gun. That may be usefull
Muito bom bela jogadas , cara vale apena assistir seu video cada segundo dele
Audio problem in tank inspector?
I love how the T-150 is swearing over his own incompetence.
well you do 'waste' first aid kit on radio oparators in tanks where your radio operator is loader aswell. amx 50 100 for example.
wait i don'T have that posted/actual view range in my game mentioned at around 3:13
Power to weight ratio doesnt tell whether of not a tank is mobile. No need in stressing it, unless you present the passability too
i love the rage in the last chi-ri match its so funny
I was actually very surprised to see this review after I saw that other one WoT: Chi-Ri Review! only two days ago. That shows another face of the Chi-Ri, a highly explosive HP/XP pinata. I am a bit confused now.
that feeling you get when ur un a death star and you shoot someone at the same time as a mid tier light tank and they get the kill despite only doing 150 damage to your 1500
Apparently that T-150 is not aware of the esistance of autoloaders lol
I preferred the 2nd replay over the 3rd.
TJ maybe had to work slightly harder, yes(maybe? i'm not sure), but he had a platoonmate to rely on, while libass was alone. Also, they were both "probably-unicums" since they shine purple in the XVM, while libass is your old faithul joe average player. Who had to work harder, two very good players or one good/average? It's up for debate.
Anyway, nice review.
Is that garage an option? it's pretty nice
He added it with mods that are no longer available
Your talking is getting a bit too quiet at around 4:50ish. Nothing too bad though. :)
Jíngles the sound strength around 4:30 dips very low youre basically understandable.
I got the Chi Ri the other night and so far I love this tank. Yeah the armor is a bit of a blow but the gun is worth it.
37:31 Being called a cheater. Gamers always have the nicest compliments for good players. My favorite is 'hacker'
Cheers!
