Huge thanks to everyone for sticking with me to this point! I was planning on making this one big video because i expected the dev diary to release today, but since it didn't, I plan on making another part covering diseases if there is enough interest. Let me know what you think of the new editing!

It's good to see you back! I like the new editing, it's visually interesting but not distracting while also keeping relevant information on screen

Don't even say that, we still didn't get trade, republics or nomads

I think both you and I know how 'well' those mechanics will be handled

A large number of people are moreso excited about the highly requested Byzantium DLC, with this acting more as window dressing. A lot of the hype surrounding this expansion is heavily in relation to the next DLC in my honest opinion

Legends of the Dead and the Byzantine expansion (Analysis of which I will admit I am basing on what they have given in the summary so far) are both just primarily adding systems that were already in CK2 that they either skipped or removed from CK3 during development only to sell it to people later as DLC still blows my mind that people look at any of this stuff and get excited
The legend stuff will be new but is basically just a rebranding of the bloodline system which was in CK2 in book form instead of bloodline form
Plagues seem to be basically lifted from CK2 despite them previously saying the whole reason they left them out of CK3 previously was to not just copy CK2
Funerals are finally getting added into the game (still waiting on coronations) but should have been there at launch the entire loop of characters living, managing their realm and family and dying was incomplete without funerals so better late than never I guess

I did not mention this in the video (Primarily because I don't talk about price points unless they have a significant increase), but Legends of the Dead being 20$ and both of its major features being rehashes of past content (But with notable improvements) personally leaves a bad taste in my mouth - but at the same time it is more or less what I have come to expect of Paradox from now on.
I think one of the major reasons people are excited isn't necessarily because they're accepting this as completely new content, but more so optimism towards future content as the systems themselves are genuine improvements over CK2 in my opinion. In other words, it's a compromise in anticipation of new mechanics that were originally requested in CK2. If Tours & Tournaments had been panned or received far more negatively, I think we would see an entirely different reaction towards Legends, but that's just me.

@@4Xtraordinaire Adding plagues is the only similarity from CK2 this expansion has. Legneds of the Dead is far more expansive than Reapers Due with flavorful and in-depth mechanics that weren't seen in CK2. I'd say it's even a bigger expansion than Conclave or Holy Fury.

I’d agree if the Byzantine expansion wasn’t also adding landless play. So I’d have to disagree
