Love the visual of Temir just rocking up and cutting a wrestling style promo on the Basileus and roasting the everloving shit out of him. That is a damn fine narrative you wrote worthy of Livy's fanciful account of the supposed meeting of Hannibal and Scipio .
5:08 When Atilla conducted his grand raid on the eastern Roman Empire he intended to raze Constantinople as well, but after gazing upon the immense Theodosian walls he turned his army around and fled.
The fact that he pillaged the place, and years later, came back and RETURNED what he stole, and told to the Basileus: "Your gold? Wack! Your army? Wack! Your city? Wack! Your empire? Wack! The way you claim to be civilized? Wack! Me? I'M TIGHT AS F%CK!" and *walked away* with no one having the audacity to stop him is the biggest flex and the largest show of disrespect made in History.
@@prestonjones1653 Temir, after returning the stuff he stole, with a gentle smile, his hands behind his back, looked at the Basileus, and said, in a calm voice: "I own these ends, b!tch!"
Temir, after he returned all he pillaged to its respective place, looked at the Basileus, and with a warm smile, looked at him and said: "I own these ends, b!tch!"
One disappointing aspect of this DLC so far is how short legends last. I expected them to be passed from generation to generation, not fizzle out as soon as the legend is closed
big true. Although legends stick around if you never end them, they cost so much money, and their best rewards come from closing them, so it feels bad to work on this huge thing, then close it and lose it all. At least the effects of closing a mythical legend are pretty awesome I will say.
Probably, but at the same time, many Steppe nomads felt a connection to Attila, whether they were related to the Hungarians or not. I picked the Pechenegs cause of their starting position more than anything.
So it looks pretty typical for a CK3 DLC. They took something that was in CK2 (bloodlines & wonders) and stripped away any sense of identity so you're just playing Mad Libs. There's no longer bespoke bloodlines for certain tasks, or historical connections, only "The [DEED] of [BLOODLINE FOUNDER]". So naturally the player can stack 6 of the things in one lifetime while the AI will get maybe half of 1. Just like how they took hybrid cultures - originally unique, emergent things with unique buildings and retinues - and made them into genericised "[CULTURE#0]-[CULTURE#1] of the [LOCATION]" without a unique bone in their body. The further down this road CK3 goes the more I wonder if it might be worth just backporting the few unique ideas it had back into CK2.
this is so stupid you are complain that a dlc has system for the entire world instead of need 13 flavor packs for it to ever be important if you play outside western europe
The funny thing about this is that, in reality, it's quite the opposite. There are a TON of unique legends by name, but it's their mechanics that are completely flat. There are exactly 3 legend types, which, in effect, means there are just 3 legends really. Most of them have unique flavour and text, but later in the game, how else would a person generate new legends besides some kind of filling system? Personally, my complaint wouldn't be about how the names are unoriginal, but rather that the actual effects of the legends are the exact same as any other of its type.
@@Tarkusarkusar Do they have unique effects? Like how bloodlines could let you get great commanders sometimes or novel succession types? Or is it like items in CK3 where it's a bit of a lootbox type system? Like that legend adventurer CB sounds like a unique thing!
@Tarkusarkusar I completely agree that. It's just copying each other. Heir of Charlemagne and legacy of king arthur seems completely same. Ck2's bloodline wasn't like that.
He entered Constantinople a city of marble and left it a city of bricks
GIGACHAD
he later revisited constantinople, a city of bricks, and left it a city of rubble
This could be best promotion anyone could ever pay for , probably best one I've seen
I think paradox inspired by gigachad story for this DLC 😂😂

Aye man, I love your narration style, it feels like actual history! You definitely earned my subscription today!

Loved the humiliation of the Basileus by Temir!

The great roast of constantinople years after it was sacked
Temir, after he returned all he pillaged to its respective place, looked at the Basileus, and with a warm smile, looked at him and said:

Holy shit that roasting of byzantine would leave any romaboo in tears, amazing stuff!
That was the most based run! Really got better than the CK3 Mughals!
Wow, I love your narration. I instantly subscribed 🥳I'd love to see a series of this!

They do pass from generation to generation, if you don't close them.

I like the directions the ck3 expansions are taking, really like it
Congrats on getting early access :)
Do you use any mods for the map graphics? The game looks really good in this
I use the IR: Terrain map mod
Quick question, can your descendants finish a legend you started?
13:14 >Manuel Komnenos
Bro is NOT Alexios
💀💀💀
Bro if the plague is in normal game without dlc it's going to be weird for people
Fucking banger of storytelling.
Did you use a map mode? Or is this the new look with the dlc?
Why do your oceans look like the void of space
are you using a visual mod or something, beacause the terrain looks diffrent?
Yes. It’s called IR Terrain
Is that Endless Legend in the background?
You bet. It's one of my favorite OSTs
Same, that and Transistor@@Tarkusarkusar
Good vid
Is that how the vannila terrain looks or is it a mod?
Map mod
It's the IR: Terrain map mod
Play as Rurik that will be good
Triple H never disappoints
The futuristic music is really distracting.
Very cool.
Romaboos in absolute shambles 😂
Probably based

wouldnt it have been a bit more accurate to start as a Hungarian?
