    I got the Imperials and Stormcloaks to agree to a temporary truce, mediated by the Grey Beards, who hadn't interacted with skyrim directly in centuries. I even got the Blades and the Thalmor to hold off killing each other for a bit.
    I went and found an Elder Scroll and used it to see through time, to learn a Shout no one had heard in more than 3000 years.
    I used Whiterun's place to capture a dragon, which I then rode to a hidden Dragon CUlt Temple, and soon after, into a protal to Sovngarde. The place most people have to die before they can even hope to see it.
    While there, I defeated Alduin, who could've destroyed the entire world. The last time Alduin threatened people, the only way to win was to create a rift in time and force him into it. Alduin is nearly a god, and it wasnt easy, but I finally defeated him.
    After reluctantly leaving the strikingly beautiful Sovngarde, I took a trip back to Whiterun, to tell my good friend Jarl Balgruuf the Greater, the man who helped me capture a dragon using his palace, that the threat is finally over.
    "Fancy robes. You a wizard or something?"

      True, the cities in Skyrim should have been bigger and had more people, but the bandit thing is more of a game mechanic. You don’t want the wilderness to feel completely empty, and they have to have enemies at a lot of locations. So really they just need to make the cities, and the populations thereof, bigger.

    Sudden Marriage is another thing that should be improved. Helping someone once or twice and they are suddenly interested in you once you put on a necklace? Slight hints at their affections with longer and far more difficult tasks for marriage would improve that. Also divorce and arguments between spouses. Let me tell this to you, there about 100 followers in Skyrim. The only ones people know of are: Lydia, Serana, Farkas, Vilkas, J’Zargo and maybe Marcurio and the other mage guild students. But in fallout 4 there are memorable followers who do have personalities and you can even tell all of them. Just compare the first followers of both games. Who is more interesting, Faendal, a random elf who says nothing about anything, or Codsworth, a literal flying robot who is constantly commenting on your actions and enemies?

    As an archer the two things you hate the most are the hitboxes of rocks or fences or whatever and the powerslides. It's so anoying lining up the perfect shot and then fail at it because the arrow hits something invisible. Same thing with the powerslide of enemies. You know, you line up the shot, see the arrow fly perfectly and then all of a sudden the enemy just does a powerslide out of nowhere...
    Every Archer knows exactly what I mean.

    "Choices" that don't matter. Join the Thieves Guild or don't... That equates to "Get a few cool perks, some cool quests, and some cool armor... or don't." It's a non-choice. Sure, you can roleplay a "good guy" and just never join them. Kill them if you want. But there's no benefit to that. Your character is simultaneously head of the Thieves Guild, Archmage of the Mage College, Champion of the Companions, Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, leader of the Blades, apparently a bard, etc. There should be equal benefits to *not* joining all these groups so that replays vary and choices matter. Even siding with Stormcloaks or Imperials isn't really a big deal.
    Or like, specializing in a skill or area of expertise. There's no reason to. You can get all of your skills up to level 100 after the prestige thing. So it wasn't a choice to be a mage or an archer or whatever, you could just master it all. Again, no replay value.
    The Dawnguard DLC tried to do this... be a cool vampire or... whatever it is the Dawnguard gives you. Armored trolls, I think? I mean, it's a step in the right direction. Let us choose between joining the Companions or joining the Silver Hand, with each one giving us different benefits and perks. Maybe the Mage's College doesn't deal with criminal riff-raff while the Thieves Guild believes in doing things with your wit and quick fingers -- no magic allowed. So joining one disables the option of joining the other.

    • @jakeand9020
      @jakeand9020 5 лет назад +28

      No on your second point. Yes, a character can master everything but it takes an obsene amount of time. Plus, it's fun to be a great warrior that shelves his weapons and armor to pursue the magic arts.

You’re just some random person who showed up, did a few quests, then skyrockets passed members who’ve been there for years. Usually without the credentials.
    Second, they never do anything with it. You don’t actually “lead,” other members still treat you like a rookie, you don’t make decisions. It’s pointless.

    • @MasonAttano

      It all comes down to power fantasy. A lot of people want to be well-respected and famous, but a lot of those same people also hate making decisions and actual leader stuff in their games, so BGS just put in this dumb system where you basically become a god because you happen to be the main character. It's essentially SAO.

    I don't want dead, tiny cities. Every beacon of power should feel like fortitude, thrilling, and an overwhelming expanse of property. Cluttered streets, overfilled taverns, proper security, sewer systems, hideaways -- no matter where you go in the city, or what you do there, every place, every path, every event, and every person should give off the sense of purpose. Do not have people just uninterestingly occupy space for the sake of "look how populated this town is." The city itself should breathe... and also occupy the same amount of land as Solitude and Markarth combined.

    I love random encounters in Skyrim and I would love for Bethesda to double down on that aspect of the game in Elder Scrolls 6. Imagine picking up a random newspaper in a random town and seeing that there will be an execution of prisoners the next day. Then you decide to show up and save one of the prisoners. Now you have an NPC who is grateful and wants to be a companion. Or maybe you miss the newspaper but you overhear some people talking about some bandits who rob people on a certain stretch of road. You go there just in time to see some people getting robbed, and you join the battle to save them! Or maybe you never heard those people talking and you take that stretch of road. Now you're the one getting robbed!
    Things like this would be great! Random encounters that exist beyond the one initial encounter.

    • @AndrewmanGaming
      @AndrewmanGaming 6 лет назад +12

      And that companion that you saved from the gallows? Maybe he is not to be trusted and he runs away with your stuff the first chance he gets! Or maybe he is trustworthy and becomes your new friend. Maybe he happens to be the son of a foreign empire and having him as a companion nets you some sort of buff on one aspect of the game. Or maybe he has a hit out on him and every once in awhile random assassins show up to collect their bounty.

    The only time a protagonist should be voiced is if the character of the series is a large part of the story you're playing for. If you play the Witcher games you know who Geralt is and you get a feel for his personality and overall demeanor and his voice is a part of that. In the Elder Scrolls we've never had the character you're playing as be one of the main attractions to the game. Some may say that this could be something along the lines of "innovative" or "groundbreaking for Bethesda" but what most people will be seeing is a decline in interest, most people playing Elder Scrolls do it for the lore and exploration and you can do so with literally any character, they're entirely yours to fashion and mold.
    tl;dr
    Voiced protagonists aren't an inherit piece of the Elder Scrolls series and would take away from the player's creativity when crafting their character.

    • @halstead8777
      @halstead8777 4 года назад +6

    Can outfits matter more. Like the clothes you are wearing should affect dialogue and story more. If I have a bounty in solitude but I leave and put on an entire soldier outfit make it more difficult for me to be detected by guards. So if I walk into solitude dressed as an imperial I'm not immediately taken to jail but instead it takes a while. Or if I walk into the blue palace dressed as a peasant I shouldn't be able to get in.or if I show up looking like an assassin the guards stop me and question me. What if during character creation you picked a rough combative style and then the in-game fights were rhythm combat like in the Arkham games? Imagine a mix between part Mortal Kombat (variety of combat options) and any recent Batman game. Then, as you level up your skill trees, you unlock new moves. Imagine the glorious cinema of watching kickass fight scenes without memorizing and using the same few combos.

      That goes against everything every game developer believes in.
      Hence why games have veteran, champion, elite, legendary, boss, etc. NPC types.
      Game devs think having to nuke a normal human in the face 500 times creates an immersive challenge, even if you just one-poke killed a massive juggernaut creature two seconds before.
      You might as well request that they omit levels entirely and actually use something called "a brain" to come up with a truly lateral form of progression, rather than the same old linear styles.

    • @modarnwarfare2rull
      @modarnwarfare2rull 6 лет назад +1

      RPG's also usually have decent combat, because you know, you fight, A LOT. Whether it's turn-based or pure action it needs to be at least decent and in Skyrim it sucked complete ass.

    • @randomplayer6396
      @randomplayer6396 6 лет назад +1

      They should just make it so the game is always at that difficulty you had killing things at level 5... bringing in new and/or improved enemies with each block of levels you earn (like 10 levels goes from bandits, to bandit marauders, then to chiefs. so a few steps up, but nothing too extreme).
      Plus, honestly I miss the way they did Oblivion's weapon management system, causing you to recharge weapons and repair them at shops or using items you could find. The environments and world spaces of Oblivion added to the gameplay as well, because (in my short time playing) there were things you could do in Oblivion that Skyrim ditched all together (albeit very small things, they made me like IV better than V even though I started with V)
      They should bring back these: Interactive environments (like the chains in your cell at the start of IV, YOU CAN MOVE THEM AROUNDDD), Weapon Management (repairs & recharges, forced me to go into town every few hours), Large/Unique world spaces (I don't want to get into a dungeon and find what I expect like for dwemer dungeons perhaps add something like prototype dwemer that clunk around and 20% of their attacks might make them explode and die. Or in a Nordic ruin have the draugr all only use axes except the boss who has steel-plated armor minus the helmet and uses a conjure battleaxe/greatsword), and finally: BRING BACK ENCHANtED ITEMS WITH DEBUFFS!!!

    • @modarnwarfare2rull
      @modarnwarfare2rull 6 лет назад

      No, I'm talking about games like Divinity, Planescape, Baldur's Gate and the like, they have great combat (though it is turn-based), DS games are also RPGs though by the look of it you will probably dismiss them as action games with RPG elements, even though they are far more like classic RPGs then Skyrim and The Witcher series is as much of an RPG series as TES. While yes you do play as one guy, the story branches out far more than any TES game and play styles change depending on which talent tree you wish to focus on.

  • @Mephitinae

    Please Todd, no more wild swinging with daggers, they are *puncturing* weapons! Even Runescape got this right! Add a dagger skill tree and a backstab mechanic. To backstab through armor, you would need a dagger that is higher quality than the armor, and penetrating heavy armor should be a high level perk. When you're level 100, maybe you could backstab through daedric armor with a spoon :D
    Make thieving interesting! There is no point in stealth when the guards let some wandering hobo waltz right into the Blue Palace and pick up everything. Why even bother, when the most valuable item in there is some useless potion just standing on a shelf? Add unique trinkets like elven chalices, ornamental weapons, miniatures carved of jade or lapis, rare gilded books you can sell to a scholar, mammoth tusks with various songs engraved into them that you can sell to a bard...

      I'm not sure about "backstabbing through armor" here, It just feels weirdly halfway between realistic and fantasy. I can slash through armor with a sword, but I can't stab through it? Getting through metal armor with a blade is ridiculous in the first place, making it slightly less ridiculous in one specific context would only draw more attention to it.
      I would like to see different strikes with weapons, , that make sense for the weapons in question. Hammer grip vs. icepick grip vs. throwing for daggers, slashing or stabbing or mordhau for swords, using the blade or the back-spike of your one-handed axe, and so on.

      you know what i would like, armor and body parts reacting to impact. If you bare-fist punched someone in the face with a steel helmet, the helmet and head should jerk and vibrate in conjunction with the punch, as well as your hand should start shaking and the fingers should twitch after punching the steel without padding. Everything should vibrate, jerk, and twitch with impact, if you smashed someone in the side with a mace, he should jerk towards the wound and he should stumble. and there should be realistic decapitation, mutilation, and wounding. there should be axes cutting deep into flesh, bones breaking, crippling, and complete removal of limbs. not only for the npcs, but the player as well. if the character gets a limb chopped of, bleeding and death will follow, same for npcs.

      we have the tech, why not use it. also, swinging weapons and fists in skyrim seemed to tense and robotic. i would like to have more fluid and involved combat, like dying light, except movement should be impacted by armor, weapon weight, and strength. movement should slow and parkour should be disabled when you wear heavy armor, heavier weapons should make things slower and swinging should seem like a burden, unless your strength's high, then you could move faster and swing faster. when your strength starts to get higher your burden when moving gets lower. i know they had carry weight in all your games, but they only affected the ability to run, never did it affect swing speed, and they didn't have fluidity and parkour.

      Agreed, this was one feature I really liked in Morrowind. That you could only join one of the Great Houses, not all of them because it wouldn't make sense in-game to "do it all" with one character. Something else I liked was that some of the quests conflicted so you could play it, but from a different side depending on what faction you belong to. Like one quest, if you've joined the mages guild, has you persuading a Telvanni to help them but if you're playing as a Telvanni you have a quest to persuade him to rejoin the fold.
      There was also the feature that some factions didn't like each other. if you rose in ranks in one factions then their enemy factions would like you less and their allies would like you more. It wasn't a deep implementation but the idea was interesting. Just like having requirements on skill for the factions. To rise in the Telvanni or mages guild you actually hade to have magic skills, to do well in the fighter's guild or Redoran you had to be level warrior skills and so on. It might be restrictive but it also preserves the world better. No more Mages guild leaders who only knows one basic level one spell. No more Fighter's guild leaders that have never handled a weapon. Of course it would need to be less restricitve than Morrowind which had specific skills it wanted you to level - any magic skill should do for magic factions etc.

    "We saw a decent amount of world response in Skyrim."
    Play The Companion questline as your last Questline, you could be Thane of the Nine Holds, the greatest right hand of Tulius or Ulfric, Archmage of the College, The Listener, Guildmaster of Thieves, defeater of Harkon Volkihar, and SAVIOR OF THE FUCKMOTHERING WORLD... "I've never even heard of this outsider."
    Granted, one of my favorite things in Skyrim is entering Shor's Hall, when you get to pick by what right you claim entry. I would've loved to see stuff like that in the rest of the game. What if, with a high speech level and certain qualifications (Thane of every Hold to be effectively a mini-High King, leader of a major guild, etc...), you could challenge Ulfric to a duel?
    Another thing I'd like, though this'll be difficult, is...more divergence. I love Serana. It is still my biggest reason to despise Bethesda that she isn't marriable. Her mother? Take or leave. I would love to have had the option to actually corrupt Auriel's Bow. Or side with the Silver Hand against the Companions. Or try to claim the Eye for yourself, if you didn't just purge the college with the paranoid local nords. The ability to destroy the Brotherhood was nice, but it wasn't really rewarding either.

      Yes, the think skyrim did worst in my opinion was that being a master craftsman/enchanter was essential for almost any type of character you did if you wanted to keep progressing. Make quests that are level based so even if you get the quest at level 20 you likely won't beat it unless you're level 50+, and that way they can make weapons like that that are better than anything you can craft and it still took work to get.

      @Zenjyn Gaming As a borderlands fan, that sounds like a good idea to me haha, I'm a big fan of how those games handle leveled up loot, only problem is that that works because there is a max level you can get to while in skyrim there isn't, so they would unfortunately probably have to add a level cap, just so you aren't grinding for gear every level.

      Definitely, felt kinda sad how magic was thrown to the corner of Skyrim, I would love if the next game had a seriously magic friendly population, like maybe an entire, actually powerful and respected city built upon it, that's part of its culture. The children learn spells in school, a lot of daily activities are done with magic, new spells are discovered there that can maybe cook ingredients you have etc. And the people in power, are the ones with the most powerful magic, like a council of magic or something. Plus there you can get really powerful armour that draws in and stores extra magic for you, also using it for heightened defence (so it's power depends on your skill) as well as generally legendary magical items, weapons and armour.
      Skyrim's population kinda feared and hated magic, shoving it up into winterhold for example which was in ruin itself. That's fine, but let's make it the polar opposite- what happens if magic was seen as the future compared with traditional weapons, if utilised and encouraged properly?

    I would really like if there were no respawns, except where it is sensible. A military outpost will probably be re-staffed after a while. Some bandits on the road could of course be replaced by other bandits - or monsters, or something. But if you clear some locations of monsters and treasure - it just breaks immersion if all is back in a week. But you could have fun with this as well: Maybe after clearing a crypt, one week later some grave robbers have moved in. Or archeologists. Or the dark brotherhood. Or after you killed alot of humans in one location - some necromancer moves in and animates all those corpses. Maybe some dark wizard's fortress, after being cleared, goes back to it's original owner - and all of a sudden you have a military outpost there, or a settlement. This could also be the aim of some missions - "clear this place so we can take it over". And depending on your choices, and who you work for, would make the world a better or worse place. Imagine you could just wipe out a village - and it stays that way...until their ghosts haunt all travellers going through that town.

    I actually think the “each trigger for each hand” combat system is what makes it so limited. You can only do two things, tap the trigger, and hold the trigger. That’s only two commands for each hand. If they made the controls contextual to what you’ve equipped, you could get more variety out of variations of holding and/or tapping with both triggers. Tap one, tap both, hold one, hold both, hold one and tap the other. You can Triple the number of commands you can use with any given equipment.
    For that matter, get rid of dual casting. Make spells only solo equipable, but also increase the number of quick slots (the FO4 method could give you 12). In doing so, you could have multiple uses of the same spell. Imagine you just learn Flames. Tapping one button shoots a quick bolt, holding one button changes it into a fire ball, holding one and tapping the other casts flameshield, and holding both casts flamethrower. Instead of having four different spells for fire magic, you only need one, and can contextually pick what you need on the fly.

    • @Myclutchisgone
      @Myclutchisgone 6 лет назад +2

      And you can still hold something and have magic in one hand, but you cast at half DPS and can't do everything you can do with magic in two hands: by holding a shield you can still cast firebolt/fireball and flame shield by holding fire and tapping shield, and you can use the shield and shield bash by holding shield and tapping fire, but you can't cast flamethrower. With a weapon or a staff, you can only cast firebolt/fireball

    • @arellajardin2323
      @arellajardin2323 6 лет назад +2

      Yes, something like that. I’ll admit, it would be a little confusing at first, and the sheer variety of different load outs would require a lot of work to program (sword and shield, spell and shield, sword and spell, dual wield, two handed, just a spell or a staff). But the variety of attacks you could perform jumps from a max of 2, to a max of 7, still just using the two triggers.

    • @arellajardin2323
      @arellajardin2323 6 лет назад +2

      To be honest, my suggestion only really works for Destruction spells. I can’t think of multiple casting methods for healing or summoning spells. I once had an idea for making each school of magic control differently. The problem is in balancing and making them each interesting.
      Like, Conjuration spells don’t cost magicka, but instead are constant spells you turn on and off at a cost of your maximum magicka (sustained spells from Dragon Age). You could have Bound Boots always equipped for 40 magicka, but as long as the boots were active, you had that much less magicka for other spells, even with potions. Same for summoned undead or whatever.
      Fans always ask for more, but most rarely consider “how” their ideas would work. There’s only so many buttons on a controller (and no, I’m not going to suggest a PC only game). Or how many menus we might have to navigate to make things happen.

    • @mishkomensch3019
      @mishkomensch3019 6 лет назад

      I actually like ur idea with boots and shit magicka would just be I guess your limit for casting but not constantly going up and down...all ur magic abilities depend on ur magicka status, if u are lets say level 10 and u just got enough magicka to use a "fireball" but it doesn't cost shit, u just can't use any other type of fire spell at a time, something like that if anyone understands and skills for "fire shield" etc. should be skills in flame skill tree not a spell for itself to buy, casting system should definitely get some kind of an overhaul

      Locking off two playstyles, let's be honest. Direct melee and stealth melee. Though most stealth players usually make use of bows.
      Also they would obviously work away for melee players to get access to the dragon, it might just need a bit more creativity, such as using the environment, or luring. You know, actually using your brain, which would be far more engaging. God forbid anything get more advanced than "arrive at goal - whack goal with stick - win".

      You were literally told that you were seen in the emperors dreams, that he was destined to die and that you were to find, save and prepare Martin Septim. Sure, he might have been the focus but you most certainly were the “special” force behind EVERY major event in the game and the intro made damn sure you knew it. With Skyrim you were thrown into a wagon with a fuckin horse thief for crossing the border at a poor time and were coincidentally saved by a dragon. You weren’t made to be godlike and special until you showed physical proof that you were indeed the dragonborn.

    I just want more massive battle, the whiterun attack was purely amazing and i just hope TES 6 will have more of that type of quest where you're actually fighting in huge battle
    What would be good also is that the equipment you're wearing actually have an impact. You can enter in a town with the thief armor and everyone will treat you the same as if you're wearing a guard armor. The same way if you're wearing the dark brotherhood armor guards should a least be suspicious about you. That would make the immersion and infiltration system so much better. The dark brotherhood quest where you have to dress like the cook to kill the emperor was one of my favorite and i just want more of it. And if your illusion level is high people will take more time to realise you're actually a spy/thief/assassin
    What would be also nice is having more unique weapon or being able to craft unique ones. For exemple you chose the shape of the blade, how long it will be, what it's made from, the shape of the handle... This way you could end up with your own unique equipement that you crafted. An amazing feature could also be an enchantement that absorb the power of the first enemy you've killed. Exemple if you a sword to kill a unique dragon, the sword will now have an enchantement based on that dragon stronger than the basic enchantment you can usually create

      I'm with you on the battles. The sieges in Skyrim were...meh. I just wish they used more catapults. I also wish I could be in the front lines, and I wish it could be a *BIGGER* war.
      And, the outcome. All that happens is a couple houses being barricaded and some destruction in Whiterun and a few jarls being replaced. So, I just resigned myself to to simple support, especially since something tells me that the war would actually be a stalemate in the lore.
      In the end, was there really a point in taking a side and fighting? Neither outcome pleases everyone, it hardly changes much and it's over too fast.

If you're lvl 100 in alchemy, lvl 100 in forging, lvl 100 in enchanting and you kill legendary creature daily there is no reason that you can only make the same boring weapon and armor bandits and random adventurer wear

      That is a completely asinine justification for poor game design. Lore does not, in any way shape or form, justify bad design. Cool, you wrote it into the lore explaining why your game has a framerate of 7, good job. Except the game _still_ runs like deep fried chicken shit, and having a convenient explanation for it doesn't stop that from being terrible.
      Garbage design is garbage whether the writers wrote it into the script or not. Skyrim's puzzles are a fucking joke, and an insult to our intelligence. If you're going to try covering for Bethesda here, you'll have to think of something better than "it makes sense in the lore", which as arguments go is only slightly better than blowing bubbles with your own spit. Slightly.

    They just need to completely overhaul every little thing about Skyrim, and add more. New engine, new mechanics, new AI behaviour, new animation tech, new quest dynamics, new combat, don't make the player the centre of the world but rather part of it, seamless transitions and no loading screens, more varied NPC's (different body types, like a fat king, skinny beggar, etc.), more lively world with bustling cities where people go about their day, actual working boats and ships that are both player and AI controlled, a more dynamic and free building system where you can build a home or camps anywhere in the world, and a much more in depth crafting system, for example, you can choose the handle, pommel, guard and blade of swords, and quality is determined by your skill level and materials.
    Many modern open world games have achieved much of what I described, so I imagine that a game of the future such as TES6 will be able to go beyond what has already been done. I have high hopes and expectations from them, as long as they use a completely new/revamped engine.

    • @matthewbibby8921
      @matthewbibby8921 6 лет назад +94

      No, an RPG should NOT have a voiced protagonist, YOU are there to put your own voice into the character, putting a pre-set voice in just ruins the point of building your own character... What if you wanted your character to be calm and collected but the voice came out timid and scared, or losing their shit? Or vice versa. NOBODY wants it, if you do, you'd be best off going to a different game, because the mute protag is an essential part of the games RPG aspect, and nobody wants another Fallout 4, which was basically a shooter first with vague RPG aspects second....

    • @Romczy
      @Romczy 6 лет назад +2

      I suggest you playing DA:O. Dialogues were still mute but character had some voice, voice you can choose from some pool. Quite expesive solution to voice act pool of 6-12 (or even more) kinds of protagonist speech but hey, Bethesda aren't beggars thou

    • @cheese6078
      @cheese6078 6 лет назад +23

      It would take so freaking long to voice all the dialog of the player judging by how much dialog ur character had in skyrim. The next game is prolly gonna be bigger with more dialog and to top it all off making it with different voices would make it even harder, that's a little too much to ask I think

    • @matthewbibby8921
      @matthewbibby8921 6 лет назад +25

      Marcin Roman Different game, different audience, you will find a very small minority from people who play whi TeS want a voiced protag, it doesn't matter if you have a variety, the silence is for you to fill in yourself.
      See, when you said " for everybody's sake do make the protag speak, I'm tired of this muteness" what you REALLY meant is "for my sake cause I personally don't like this style of gameplay I want it to revolve around what I like, screw the vast majority of fans who hated it, and screw the fact that there are plenty of other games that have voiced protags, me want it in THIS franchise"
      This franchise, wherein half of the charm is the RPG elements INCLUDING the mute protag. There is a reason people did not like fallout 4 half as much as previous games, because it was practixally a shooter with RPG elements, there are very little people who want it to go that direction, please understand that and stop asking Bethesda to change it for a different audience... A spin off? Sure, fine, but the main games? One of the very few traditional RPG open world game series left? You can change many things, but there are some that just won't work, and will take away front he experience for many, MANY people, this is one of them.

    More meaningful quests and less bulshit. Stuff like assasinating the the emporor or sieging whiterun were amasing. Less talk to this person - explore this random dungeon - collect this item.
    In skyrim almost every quest involved a random cave / dungeon which makes the game seem really repetitive. The best quests took place in the world of skyrim rather than a cave, it made caves boring and didn't use the world to its full potential.
    The combat seemed boring and the leveling system disincentivised leveling up none combat skills. I dont want to face harder enemies because i leveled up my speech or alchemy. I want to be able to play a diverse character with multiple none combat skills without the enemies scaling with them.
    Enemy / item scaling needs to be more fixed. I want to be able to stomp an early game enemy and also go ahead of myself and get crushed. It means i feel powerful when facing early game enemies and incentivises alternate play styles like sneak and invisability to get late game item earlier.
    More decisions should be possible, things like siding with parthanax or declaring yourself high king should have been possible in skyrim.
    More play styles possible for sneak (see thief and deus ex).
    None violent playthrough possible? (Stunning not killing all enemies)
    More interesting magic and alchemy. Spells seemed generic and not rewarding and magic as a playstyle seemed underpowered. Most potions never got used because there often wasnt a time they were needed or didnt provide much of a buff. More powerful potions which are harder to make might allow you to progress through a higher level area.
    The leveling system is pretty generic and incentivises grinding for exp for many of the none combat skills. Unlocking smithing enchanting or alchemy options could be done by quests / tasks rather than grinding out 1000 iron daggers.
    A quicker more effective way to loot a cavern. Perhaps all weapons armor ect from enemies turns into gold. A more complex option would be "keep as loot" which automatically picks up the item and stores it based on the best value / weight below carry limit. This would eliminate lots of the boring inventory management time that seemed to be a major part of exploring a dungeon.
    If there are factions like the greybeards that a player is part of then they should be able to fight like them with massivly reduced shout recharge ect.
    More advanced character creation (backstory, religion, politics, previous skills ect)
    No unskipable conversations (maul, riften)
    Underwater quest / loot (reason waterbreathing is useful)
    Formations (npcs can fight in co-ordinated groups) and battles, (organised by promative stratergy game ai)
    Fleshed out peaceful activites / quests. Like farming, delivery by cart, woodcutting , cooking, barwork, bard work ect.
    Greater use of dynamic movement in combat and evasion (see assassins creed). With more accesable areas (rooftops houses ect)
    Powerful weapons feel more than reskins of weaker ones with better stats. Different metals have different properties, eg elven bows are really good but have bad warhammers, vice versa for dwarven. Fur armor boosts sneak in forest areas and dragon bone causes awe.
    Tldr: skyrim is great but elder scrolls 6 needs many changes to stay modern.
