    Need to hook batteries up to the truck alternator. Also if you run the wiring through a relay it may take more load therefore not burning up the switches.

    • @dustinryan9671
      @dustinryan9671 4 года назад

      I was going to say the same thing hook up to the car battery then they will be charged all the time. Could also up grade the alternator to take a continuous load better.

    You have a good setup but put the batteries together and it will save you time and make everything simple. Positive to positive negative to negative. Put one of the charger ends on one battery and the other one to the other battery. Also get a rv isolator and run a positive battery cable from the truck battery to the isolator then to the positive side of your battery pack and a ground cable to the frame of the truck. It charges without draining your truck battery and you can charge your equipment battery pack easier.

    Great set up. I currently work out of the back of my truck now also but use an x jet for my house washes. I'm working on a 16 ft trailer now with three 5.5 gpm 4000 psi pumps so thet if I want to run them in series for 11 gpm or 16.5 gpm I can. Works great for my 49 inch surface washer and fast parking lot rinses. LykeNew Power Wash is located in Salina Kansas. Just curious what you pay for your SH per gallon? I'm having a heck of a time getting a good bulk price for some 12.5%

    With that pump set up, when you let off the trigger, does the pump shut off, or go into a bypass mode or something like a pressure washer? I really like your setup and think I'm gonna do a small trailer. But im a novice at setting it all up right and efficient. Thanks for the video, it really helped me a lot with how it works and not to sound arrogant, but how basic the softwash set up is. I plan on running just one pump at first, just a minimal basic setup to test the waters here and see how well it does in this area. Any money saving ideas would be greatly appreciated

  • @AGlobalLLC
    @AGlobalLLC 4 года назад

    So what are you using as a surfactant? Just thinking cool setup yet why not use top of the line industry professional fittings and valves with something like a swagelock stainless valve that could last 10 to 20 years and made in OHIO. Everything from china seems to be junk. Maybe add high quality stainless quick connects for your back up pump and also pre-wire a quick connect electrical connection for the back up pump? Possible less downtime until you get home to swap things out.

    Have you thought about running a connection from under the hood and a kill switch for the connections to the pump? Instead of having all those other cables and having to recharge? I’ve seen many soft wash setup videos and never have seen anyone actually run some cables from the front battery to the back of the truck and connect that way instead of having to haul extra batteries.. just a question/suggestion. 🤔

    • @southeastsoftwash4020
      @southeastsoftwash4020  3 года назад

      The best way to do it is a stealth charger that’s wired to the truck to power your charger while the truck is running.
      It isolates the system so you don’t get back flow voltage to the alternator when it’s not needed, but they are just a little aggravating to set up. It’s really not much of an issue to plug up an extension cord at the end of the day. Check out some of our skids that we build currently.

    • @dchez02
      @dchez02 5 лет назад +1

      Yes you can. I did it with a 12v flojet pump. I bought a Lenovo laptop charger to do it. You need it in order to convert ac to dc. You tape them up and u just turn on the generator and off you go.

    A question I’m confused about is buffer tanks. Does a 7 gpm soft wash pump actually require a buffer tank like some guys say? It seems like 7gpm pump with 200’ 5/8 line would run fine on about any house without a buffer

  • @franks.6134

    Just spit balling here, but is it possible to soft wash with a 7 gpm /1 hp pump [plugged into a newly installed outlet in the truck bed]? Those pumps are half the price of a 12v Everflo.

    Need a little help please. I have a Northstar 12 volt 5.5 gpm pump. It's fed with 3/4" tube on inlet and I have about 150' of 1/2" tube on outlet. I made the pvc wand with ball valve and blue adjustable fan spray soap tip. I sprayed first vinyl fence today and was pulling from 5 gallon to the bucket of mix. I was out of mix after 5 or 6 panels of fence (just one side of it) No mateet how much I adjusted tip it would chug the solution. What am I doing wrong? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

  • @AndYetHereWeAre
    @AndYetHereWeAre 5 лет назад

    This may be a very stupid question but....why do you need the electric pumps? Can't you just downstream the mixture and use the pressure washer to spray the mixture? Or is the pressure washer just additional equipment you have on the truck and the electric pumps spray the house?

    • @southeastsoftwash4020
      @southeastsoftwash4020  5 лет назад

      rreman81 so the 12v system is for housewashing and roof cleaning. The pressure washer is strictly for concrete cleaning
