I love seeing all of these stores I've never heard of, since I'm an American. I try to figure out the U.S. equivalent whenever you bring us into a store. I'm thinking this is kind of like a mix between a T.J. Maxx and a dollar store? Something like that. Very interesting indeed. Thanks for another fun vlog!
Just be aware. On a few occasions, my local B&M has sold out of date food items at full price, overcharged on items, and they have a habit of putting the wrong price label on the shelves. On a good note, you can get some items reduced down to bargain prices.
The wrong pricing has happened in our b&m, they know what they're doing!. The worst we had was me and my husband went to buy a couple of cream buns in a wel known bakery a couple of months ago in York and after we were served we noticed we'd be over charged so went back in to sort it yo be told "oh no the prices went up yesterday but we haven't got round to changing the signs yet" 😅😅. Needless to say we won't be going back lol.
@@betagombar9022 I've noticed the same... you really have to check at the till.. I've caught them out a few times with charging more... I go to homebargins instead much better...
That was lots of fun, shopping with you and so interesting to see prices...some of them less than what I would imagine. Wish I had the chance to shop there and I can hardly wait to see how the baking turns out! Oh, and we're still waiting to see what you get Tim for Chritmas haha.
In Canada this reminds me of a cross between our Dollarama dollar store, Zellers, and Giant Tiger ( we also call it GT Boutique to sound more posh). Thanks for sharing. Cool to see price equivalents between your area and Niagara Ontario Canada.
We had a great afternoon. I do think home bargains is probably better value and much more organised at the tills. The queue in B&M was all over the place, but nice vlog Gabriella ❤️
I wish they would put a B&M in wilkos in Norwich, that part of st Stephens looks so depressing. Then there’s the shop next door to savers aswell that’s been closed for years. Also in process of pulling down that office block next door to sainburys on the old railway site. That whole area looks awful, as for Christmas decs down there this year they’re pretty much non existent.
Here again the recipe "Cosmopolitan" (1 person) (Did delete it in the chat): 4 cl "Absolut" Citron Vodka 1 cl lime juice 1,5 - 2 cl Cointreau 4 cl Cranberry juice ice cubes Put everything in a shaker with ice cubes.I would put the martini glas for a couple of minutes in a refrigirator. I also would cut a small slice of a lime and used it as decoration on the glas. :) 🍸 There are different recipes of this cocktail, but I do like this one.
I would agree, that in B&M and similar type stores there are some bargains to be found but you need to seek them out. A tin of Roses chocolates, a rarity indeed. I look forward to tasting the pudding biscuits!!!
Our B&M replaced Tesco Home Plus which is much missed. Hadn't been in B&M in years, really wasn't anything drawing me in. Went a while ago and got a few bits , they had a good Lego range but wasn't overly fussed with most of it.
I agree b&m are very crafty you think youre getting things cheaper but really its smaller sizes and you end up paying the same or more, aldi can be the same, its not fair especially in times like these😢. Anyway, who's ready for Christmas?🎉
Hi Gaby,hi chat mates, just caught up, with your lovely vlogmas 19, great seeing your mum and hearing casper bless him, not a bad little shop. Nice to look around, I thought you'd get the ice cube tray, something different to put in the drinks. Our carols by candlelight service has been lovely, gets you in the spirit of Christmas. I have found this too ! So many times miss priced
Thanks letting us know that
The shelf edge labels were all over the place yesterday and so was nearly overcharged on an item and some things weren't priced at all. 😳

@@barrycoppock are you visiting them on Christmas Day, Barry?
They don’t make this tins like they used to.. I remember a tin lasting forever

Tins of sweets are cheaper in tescos or sainsburys and I think Asda aswell. They have been £3.45 I think?
We have 3 B&M’s in our town yet no Home Bargains or The Range anywhere near me…..crazy😮
3 B&M's is a bit excessive...?
@@mastergoose2k4To be fair I'm not overly surprised about this as Darlington which is my local town have 2 B&Ms.
Love vlogmas 19 Casper is so cute singing. Happy shopping day!

Your co=host was singing along while you shopped. He has a lovely sing song voice. Thank you for Day 20 vlogmas!!
You are so welcome! Yes he does have a beautiful voice xx
I think Home Bargins is better and cheaper than B&M.
