Cunning, ruthless but yet devoted to Gaia and ready to do whatever is necessary to fight for her, even ready to have a dishonorable and bad reputation in order to destroy the wyrm. Europe, from the books, is still alive thanks to them. Not even the Silver Fangs unified the tribes as the margrave did with Black Furies, Get and Red Talons. You can complain as much as you want about them, at least they are not hypocrites like the rest of the tribes: they fight getting shit done, and they have no problems to show that their hands are dirty. Respect to the shadow lords.

Would also like to add Lucían from the Underworld movies as character inspirations since he was always very secretive about his real motives to his peers and like Shadows Lords he had no problem making deals with vampires and manipulating them into thinking he was dead when in reality he was in hidding plotting and sceeming his ultimate goal.

I've got a Shadow Lord Ragabash hanging dangerously close to a lot of Get of Fenris ahrouns, first thoughts, yeah this was a mistake lol. But it's also proving to be a very fun mistake lol.

I was playing the " unwilling embrace," victim of a " shove party, and Blood Bonded. My male character had a few dots in Occult: Old wives tales. " thunder crows." So when the three groups of players were having a major throw down. Garou vs Kindred, I had my character strip his shirt, crave a Blood Crow into his chest dropping 5 blood points, and " burning " 3 blood points to preform a " Rite of Spirit Calling." Along with burning 2 dots of Willpower. ( yeah, I spent 16xp to cast a spell/ power.) 1st.) My character had no " real " background: dots, in magic or any gifts and Spirit Calling is a 3 dot ability. And tech. my character had No Dots. 2nd.) I just used some good voice acting in accent , gave some RP bull crap about calling on the blood of my fore fathers. ( Some of the players were against it cause it was over bending/ breaking the rules. And I just didn't have the Dice for it. But the two Story Teller judges said, since I was willing dropping 16xp to power the Gift and my acting was good, they let it slide. And they let me roll 2 dice for the Willpower,+ 2 dice for the blood points, and + Attribute.=7 dice With shocking results, I got struck by a lightning bolt and a Tornado wreak the area, with a Thunder Storm knock out the city power for the night. That battle ended with my Shadow Lord Garou blood relative sister carrying my gangrel off after her feeding e some blood. Normal I just play country gangrel Sabbat. This time around I play a vampire Bless by Grandfather Thunder running with a werewolf pack. My character mark of the beast use the black sable wolf/ crow. Just imagine instead a bat wing werewolf being a crow feather cover wolf. A Crow Scare chest, Merit: Lightning/ Storm Magic, flaw: short shorts circuit and surges electrical devices within 5ft for every dot of Lightning/ Storm. Tribe name : Caller of Thunder, Bane Eater, the Marked One, the Blessed. That or this character later became the boogie man for later Sabbat games. Worst part was when my old character from a year ago " ate " five of my new characters in two months cause I had bad dice rolls from running from the Caller of Thunder. First warning he is in close range, cell phone dies and you hear the gathering storm clouds. His Willpower along with his other stats needed was high enough he does not suffer derangements for diablerie. So he became OP quickly. But the Totem: Grandfather Thunder gave him the flaw/ ban: of he could not use current modern tech without shorting it out or blowing it apart. As he walks through a building, the power/ lights flicker out, and if he is angry the light blubs just burst. The Story Tellers/ Game Master screw my character hard. I knew country gangrely really don't like cities when they are on the Path: of the Beast/ Nature. ranking 6 or higher, but BUT ! Cars will not function around him, and power blackout happen when he is within 20 ft of any building or power line. When he " Calls Down The Thunder," he has to be careful not to cause a Maelstrom in the wraith dead realm when a tornado wreaks an apartment building causing the deaths of hundreds and the Fear of thousand living souls. The Wyrm just loves and empower by humans living in Dread. Have a good night.

Cool I've been waiting for this episode. Interesting group, I like ones that control things from behind the scene or in the shadows. It can keep people on their toes and they can be a perfect wild card for how things will play out. Great Video man, glad you got this one up.
It's funny how Griffith has the perfect appearence of a 5 dots pure race Silver Fang, but his actitudes are much more like of a Shadow Lord, give me an idea of a Character who is a great Philodox and falls to his madness after being tortured by the Wyrm, being corrupted by it.
I feel like Vriska Serket or Aranea from Homestuck would fit perfectly in the Shadow Lords. And seeing their influence over the story of Homestuck, they'd be an... interesting addition. > H > Ardata would do just as well, but she's a bit more... sadistic...

I just noticed that the symbol for the Shadow Lords looks a lot like the Shadow vessels from Babylon 5, which fits since the Shadows and Shadow Lords really do have a lot in common.
Yeah after you finish the playable tribes you should do a video on the fallen tribes (since you won't need a character creation section, you can probably fit all three of them into one video), then maybe videos for the other Fera.

When I first learned of WTA I think I was around 10-14 years old, growing up I barely heard anything about it, the only videos that caught my eye were those done by The Gentlemen Gamer. In particular I love his "Pentex Guide" series about the various tribes, but that was as much as I could see on youtube, things were made more dishearting when I learned that there was a game about WTA (Heart of Gaia) that never got to see the light and the general fate of most of White Wolf's video games and as a consequence the World of Darkness would be a setting hidden under a veil of ignorance to a larger audience. The coming of Earthblood is a real re-ignition of hope for me (heh, I sound like a old wolf going through Harano to then see a chance of victory against the Wyrm and Weaver) I really want Earthblood to hit it big on the mainstream, it's not just that I want a dam good game about Wolves and Werewolves in general but also because I love the story and lore of WTA and of the other Fera in general. White Wolf has done something special for me, they made a world where Werewolves aren't simply the mindless beasts that popular media and real history painted them as, they have a history in the world, they have tribes, factions, cultures, beliefs, myths, a role within the world. My dad who has a bias towards vampires and loved Bloodlines and was really sad to see the cancellation of World of Darkness always thought that were was no interesting or fascinating way to write Werewolves, but White Wolf has shown that you can do more with them, that you can give them depth and interest, a story.
While not one of the Tribes fighting for Gaia, I want to ask if you will do a video showcasing the Black Spiral Dancers. I know they're likely to be NPCs in a campaign, it would be fascinating to hear the history of the fall of the White Howlers & rise of the corrupt Dancers.
I’ve been looking for some good quality werewolf the apocalypse concept videos, and your first 11 are top-notch. How are even learned some things for you that I didn’t know, history and such. But you stopped at 11? You didn’t even get to my favorite two: The Windygo & the (the other Indian tribe one, starts with a U). Esther a game I watch the first two and to tell you the truth I’m really more interested in your take on the source books or explanations of the aspects backgrounds etc. and how they were useful in game. I don’t know if it’s too late to throw my hat in the ring but that’s my opinion. away I look forward to you Writing more exclamations on the rest of the werewolf book
I haven't stopped. The thing is I started working on a comic, then I got signed on with a publisher, and now my book is part of a shared universe which I'm working on a KickStarter for. Sadly that means it demands more of my attention and the WtA vids have had to take a backseat. I still plan on working on them, but they'll be coming out much slower than they used to.
Bret I do have a small request Perhaps you could go into how each moonphase is different that way players would get a insight on how to play a ragash or a ahrouhn within the specific tribe
The Tribe videos are meant to be easily digestible and including those would make them longer. I do have a video planned for the Auspices though where that can be touched on.
Other characters that serve as good inspiration: Light Yagami, from Death Note, or Lelouch, from Code Geass, if you want someone with a stronger moral compass.
No argument there Light is perfect if you want to play that Shadow Lords Ragabash who wants to kill his/her enemies without getting caught. And Lelouch is basically your typical Shadow Lords Philodox the cunning politician who knows how to play the game of politics, and come up with cunning plans to take out enemies.
Out of curiosity are you going to do anything other tribes? I'm curious to know if life is just keeping you from making the videos or if you stopped the series cuz you lost drive or something. Sorry if this came off as rude.
It wasn't rude. To answer your question, I've taken on a rather large comic project I've been working on for the past year and I've had to shift focus. I haven't quit making these videos, they're just now coming out at a slower pace.
Ah yes the Shadow Lords 2 good character to draw inspiration from for creating either a Shadow Lords Ragabash, or a Shadow Lords Philidox are Light Yagami from Death Note if you want to create a Shadow Lords Ragabash who prefers to kill his or her opponents without getting caught, or Lelouch Vi Britannia if you want to do a Shadow Lords Philidox who is cunning along with knowing how to play ball when it comes to politics. Also as someone who played a Fianna character a good point up to bring if a Uktena video is released, is that the Uktena and Fianna actually have decent relationship with each other because the Caern that my Homid Fianna Ahroun character and her clan that consisted of both Homids, and Lupus with a couple Metis belonged to is a Caern located on Goat Island in Niagara Falls New York that is owned by both the Fianna and Uktena, basically in the 1800s when the Fianna left for America after the Irish Potato Famine the High King signed a proclamation known as the Fianna Kinship Homestead Act basically if the area to settle is already claimed by another tribe then the Fianna Clan in question can invoke it to make a peaceful request to the tribe who owns said land to allow the entirety of the clan including Kinfolk to live there in peace or at the least let the Kinfolk live there in peace that way they at least survive, and when the various Fianna Clans including my character's ancestors made it to what is now the area in Niagara Falls near Goat Island and encountered the Uktena and thankfully the Uktena chose to honor the Fianna Kinship Homestead in it's entirety and allowed everyone in the various Fianna Clans both Garou, and Kinfolk alike to live there along with sharing ownership of the Caern there under the condition that a member of the Uktena remained the Caern's primary leader and in another good decision the various Fianna Clans agreed to the Uktena's condition and ever since then there has been peace between the Fianna and the Uktena with one dark point in the history of both Tribes basically in 1932 the peace between the Fianna and the Uktena was almost broken permanently due to a group of extremists who shared the same anti-European Tribe views as the Wendigo tried to kick the Fianna out which resulted in a minor conflict in which a united Fianna, Uktena force wiped them out and had a member of the Fianna installed as Caern leader for a little while but the Uktena was able to install a leader who would honor the peace between the two tribes eventually, and now a days the arrangement is still in effect the Fianna and Uktena live in the area side-by-side in peace with an Uktena as leader of the Caern.
Not forgot. Just haven't gotten to it yet. I started working on a comic that's now part of a shared universe and that practically turned into a full time second job, so this had to go down priority wise for me. The I work on the WtA videos when I have the time now, which is why they come out at a slower pace.

Being new to the Werewolf lore & world this made me laugh a lot but also was informative and easy to have in the ears on the go (driving and such). Sooo the Habsburgs and the Kingdom of Hungary basically kept half europe safe from the Shadow Lords for at least 4 centuries. What a twist!

oh and even though it's definitely gonna take you a while to make the next videos, thanks for making what you could. When I first learned of WTA I think I was around 10-14 years old, growing up I barely heard anything about it, the only videos that caught my eye were those done by The Gentlemen Gamer. In particular I love his "Pentex Guide" series about the various tribes, but that was as much as I could see on youtube, things were made more dishearting when I learned that there was a game about WTA (Heart of Gaia) that never got to see the light and the general fate of most of White Wolf's video games and as a consequence the World of Darkness would be a setting hidden under a veil of ignorance to a larger audience. The coming of Earthblood is a real re-ignition of hope for me (heh, I sound like a old wolf going through Harano to then see a chance of victory against the Wyrm and Weaver) I really want Earthblood to hit it big on the mainstream, it's not just that I want a dam good game about Wolves and Werewolves in general but also because I love the story and lore of WTA and of the other Fera in general.
White Wolf has done something special for me, they made a world where Werewolves aren't simply the mindless beasts that popular media and real history painted them as, they have a history in the world, they have tribes, factions, cultures, beliefs, myths, a role within the world. My dad who has a bias towards vampires and loved Bloodlines and was really sad to see the cancellation of World of Darkness always thought that were was no interesting or fascinating way to write Werewolves, but White Wolf has shown that you can do more with them, that you can give them depth and interest, a story.
While not one of the Tribes fighting for Gaia, I want to ask if you will do a video showcasing the Black Spiral Dancers. I know they're likely to be NPCs in a campaign, it would be fascinating to hear the history of the fall of the White Howlers & rise of the corrupt Dancers.

I’ve been looking for some good quality werewolf the apocalypse concept videos, and your first 11 are top-notch. How are even learned some things for you that I didn’t know, history and such. But you stopped at 11? You didn’t even get to my favorite two: The Windygo & the (the other Indian tribe one, starts with a U). Esther a game I watch the first two and to tell you the truth I’m really more interested in your take on the source books or explanations of the aspects backgrounds etc. and how they were useful in game. I don’t know if it’s too late to throw my hat in the ring but that’s my opinion. away I look forward to you Writing more exclamations on the rest of the werewolf book
I haven't stopped. The thing is I started working on a comic, then I got signed on with a publisher, and now my book is part of a shared universe which I'm working on a KickStarter for. Sadly that means it demands more of my attention and the WtA vids have had to take a backseat. I still plan on working on them, but they'll be coming out much slower than they used to.
Bret I do have a small request Perhaps you could go into how each moonphase is different that way players would get a insight on how to play a ragash or a ahrouhn within the specific tribe
The Tribe videos are meant to be easily digestible and including those would make them longer. I do have a video planned for the Auspices though where that can be touched on.
Other characters that serve as good inspiration: Light Yagami, from Death Note, or Lelouch, from Code Geass, if you want someone with a stronger moral compass.
No argument there Light is perfect if you want to play that Shadow Lords Ragabash who wants to kill his/her enemies without getting caught. And Lelouch is basically your typical Shadow Lords Philodox the cunning politician who knows how to play the game of politics, and come up with cunning plans to take out enemies.

Out of curiosity are you going to do anything other tribes? I'm curious to know if life is just keeping you from making the videos or if you stopped the series cuz you lost drive or something. Sorry if this came off as rude.
It wasn't rude. To answer your question, I've taken on a rather large comic project I've been working on for the past year and I've had to shift focus. I haven't quit making these videos, they're just now coming out at a slower pace.

Ah yes the Shadow Lords 2 good character to draw inspiration from for creating either a Shadow Lords Ragabash, or a Shadow Lords Philidox are Light Yagami from Death Note if you want to create a Shadow Lords Ragabash who prefers to kill his or her opponents without getting caught, or Lelouch Vi Britannia if you want to do a Shadow Lords Philidox who is cunning along with knowing how to play ball when it comes to politics. Also as someone who played a Fianna character a good point up to bring if a Uktena video is released, is that the Uktena and Fianna actually have decent relationship with each other because the Caern that my Homid Fianna Ahroun character and her clan that consisted of both Homids, and Lupus with a couple Metis belonged to is a Caern located on Goat Island in Niagara Falls New York that is owned by both the Fianna and Uktena, basically in the 1800s when the Fianna left for America after the Irish Potato Famine the High King signed a proclamation known as the Fianna Kinship Homestead Act basically if the area to settle is already claimed by another tribe then the Fianna Clan in question can invoke it to make a peaceful request to the tribe who owns said land to allow the entirety of the clan including Kinfolk to live there in peace or at the least let the Kinfolk live there in peace that way they at least survive, and when the various Fianna Clans including my character's ancestors made it to what is now the area in Niagara Falls near Goat Island and encountered the Uktena and thankfully the Uktena chose to honor the Fianna Kinship Homestead in it's entirety and allowed everyone in the various Fianna Clans both Garou, and Kinfolk alike to live there along with sharing ownership of the Caern there under the condition that a member of the Uktena remained the Caern's primary leader and in another good decision the various Fianna Clans agreed to the Uktena's condition and ever since then there has been peace between the Fianna and the Uktena with one dark point in the history of both Tribes basically in 1932 the peace between the Fianna and the Uktena was almost broken permanently due to a group of extremists who shared the same anti-European Tribe views as the Wendigo tried to kick the Fianna out which resulted in a minor conflict in which a united Fianna, Uktena force wiped them out and had a member of the Fianna installed as Caern leader for a little while but the Uktena was able to install a leader who would honor the peace between the two tribes eventually, and now a days the arrangement is still in effect the Fianna and Uktena live in the area side-by-side in peace with an Uktena as leader of the Caern.

Not forgot. Just haven't gotten to it yet. I started working on a comic that's now part of a shared universe and that practically turned into a full time second job, so this had to go down priority wise for me. The I work on the WtA videos when I have the time now, which is why they come out at a slower pace.
@@IloveOtherPplsMsry I fully understand my good sir! Its just that I was sort of hyped to get all the Werewolf info from this channel and in this format. Being new to the Werewolf lore & world this made me laugh a lot but also was informative and easy to have in the ears on the go (driving and such). But yeah, seeing your videos I understand if they take some time. So maybe just audio/podcast lore on the Werewolf world? ;)

I've spent the past couple of months working on my comic's Kickstarter. We're in the final week, so once that's wrapped up I'll be starting work on the Silver Fangs. (These don't have a set schedule they just get done when they're done)
