      I had a dog for 15 years. Lurcher mix called sandy. Sadly she recently went to doggy heaven but during her life, when she was a pup she escaped and went to the farmland nearby. She was inevitably injured and after gettin a few puncture wounds stitched up she spent the rest of her life either indoors or on her leash. Even if we just walked her in our garden to let her toilet she was leashed. For her own safety and for our peace of mind.
      The postman told us yesterday he didnt know we even had a dog until just before she passed away

    That witness keeping on laughing at what the plaintiff is saying disgusts me, what person in their right mind laughs at a lady who got their hand bitten by a dog she was meant to be supervising! Outrageous! I had a dog and she had bitten a few people and I kept on apologising for it and I felt so shamed, that lady witness as well as the defendant are disgraceful!

    • @dharmallars
      @dharmallars 2 года назад +4

      I’m sorry that happened to you! I understand the feeling, my dog has never actually attacked but she does get aggressive when she’s nervous and I’m always apologizing for it. But it’s people like you who you can tell are responsible owners from the get go. It’s so crazy to me that the defendants here would be so dismissive of all of this. I would feel so indebted to anyone who saved my dog that I certainly wouldn’t need to be taken to court to cover their medical bills. Your pet is not a person who has critical thinking an rationale, it will act on its instincts, and a responsible owner knows that they have to take precautions to avoid things like this. You’d sooner find me dead than willingly letting my dog wander around unleashed.

    • @LWEST27620
      @LWEST27620 2 года назад

      @@dharmallars exactly! Because of my dog was being aggressive with new people, if anybody asked or came up to pet her I always warned them that she is bad with strangers and she can get aggressive. The few times she had bitten are people who ignore my warnings about her being defensive but even then I still apologised and felt ashamed as I wanted my beautiful Millie to be nice and friendly to everyone but she didn’t like new people, she was fine with people she knew in fact she loved being petted by them just children and new people she didn’t like. So these people are disgusting for not taking responsibility for their dog shouldn’t have that dog! I hate the end of this episode (don’t know if you have watched it) where the actual defendant says the plaintiff is racist or discriminatory! Sorry I rambled but these people are horrible!

      These comments are great. Compared with how people (figuratively speaking) stick their tongues out at JJ when she tells them -that's the law- it's a breath of fresh air.
      I've watched two shows recently where two female cat owners (admittedly- but still- blood was drawn in the cases) unapologetically and with noses in the air told JJ they didn't and had never agreed with a no leash ethical approach of watching their cats because they were stalkers and could be aggressive.
      One flat out smiled and told her "No, no one is going to interfere with my cat's freedom and right to enjoy the outdoors. They have to look after their dogs."
      Argh.

      @@navigatormother7023 these people who don’t take responsibility for their pets shouldn’t have them and I hope animal control after watching JJ should take the pets off these owners and give them to responsible homes. It’s ridiculous! There was also a case of a bulldog that was “defending “ his home and the owners had no remorse to the poor plaintiff who got their hand bit, then another with the husky that got loose and then shot as it eaten some chickens and the owners didn’t take any responsibility heck they didn’t look at the photos JJ wanted them to see and she in her right mind called the owners belligerent as they only wanted to believe what they thought instead of the facts!

We all knew to be well behaved & calm around the dogs, she only watched kids above age 8 because she thought we would have enough sense to be able to co exist around the dogs. 2 days before my last day at that day care one of the puppies from the previous litter that the daycare owner had decided to keep attacked another child unprovoked as she was walking us back from school to her house. And no, stray dogs that are truly stray (not just lost or unsupervised) do not just go up to people and beg for food unless someone gives them food to begin with. Even then, they only approach the food, not the human. They’re too afraid. Dogs who have been socialized (have/had owners) are more likely to approach people.
