It hadn't been released as a single yet, and the album itself had only just come out. Also, until this song, all of Blink's singles were sung by Mark, so I don't know that there was a lot of potential seen in this song at first. (In fact, I would argue that, had it not been for the video and TRL, this song wouldn't have been nearly as big.)
That's because fans of Blink at that time knew Dammit was a badass song and All the Small Things sucked.
It’s cause all the smalls things wasn’t the single yet. The single of that time was “what’s my age again” you can tell the crowd goes crazy right when they begin to play it. Dude ranch was the previous album so that’s all we had at the time lol

I was a music writer for my college paper and got to interview Mark Hoppus on this tour (Pomona). He was really nice but was slightly annoyed/disappointed because the time slot they gave me was during Jimmy Eat World's set, and he told me he didn't like missing them.
This was my first show! Thank you so much for sharing this. Life changed that day.
Hi Bangdrums37. What an incredible first show!! What age were you then? I'm 37 now, from the North Coast of Ireland. It was always my dream to attend the Warped Tour. I've been lucky enough to travel to the US four times, but never got to a Warped Tour! Thankfully I have seen JEW and Blink live here in Ireland, but Warped would have been mindblowing!
@@brendanfisher i was 15 at the time. I was fortunate to attend a few warped tours and even a warped tour cruise. I hardly knew any bands towards the end of warped tour's run but back in 1999 it was a young punk kid's dream!
Thank you so much for uploading this absolute epic concert! My two most favourite bands on the same stage in their relatively early days. Wow. I saw J.E.W. in 2022 and Blink 182 in 2023. They still got it, just like back in that Warped tour ‘99

The parallel universe where Tom Linton fronts Jimmy Eat World is actually kinda awesome. Jim Adkins is one of the greatest figures in the music industry over the last 25 years, so I'd say it turned out pretty well - but damn, Tom sounded incredible during this era on Blister. Absolutely roars on that song.
I remember seeing JEW in '01 and they were still roadtesting their songs for Bleed American at Warped Tour and it was effin AMAZING!
I love Jimmy Eat World, Lifetime and the first 2 Saves the Day and Get Up Kids albums.
