Don't sweat it. I'm 28 and never got to see blink in this era. I will say they are fantastic live now compared to how they were 5, 10 years ago, but the speed and energy of the late 90s and early 2000s is unmatched.
My heart goes out to you..I was 13 in 99 and I was going through my "the backstreet boys SUCK!" Phase and then I found Bink! They were my first "favorite band" I guess you could say. I was into nu metal too but warped tour was so great. You would discover so many new bands. I saw blink and green day in the same night in 2004..it was WILD and a bunch of teenagers engaging in complete debauchery. I FEEL SO OLD that was damn 20 years ago.. don't grow up kids 🙏 lol 💯🤷♀️🤘 even though I'm almost 40 I still need to go to concerts like church 🙋♀️✌️
Setlist 01:35 Family Reunion 02:06 Pathetic 04:55 Peggy Sue 08:47 What's My Age Again 11:44 Aliens Exist 15:14 Going Away to College 18:36 Don't Leave Me 20:50 Country Song 21:32 All the Small Things 24:42 Dammit 28:00 Carousel
Only two songs from Creshire Cat , interesting pick with Peggy sue. You can tell the crowd is primarily a skater punk crowd and some didn't seem to thrilled for the enemy of the state (pop punk) songs i.e. All the small things. Blink is trying to bridge these genres and fans.
Thanks for the upload! Love seeing their 1999 gigs. It's cool to see Tom using the Inca Silver Strat as his main one, and the Surf Green one for the capo songs. Usually it's the other way around.
I remember the pure excitement I had when EOTS came out as a teenager, after getting into blink with Dude ranch. Sitting on my bed reading all the notes on the CD and listening to it on my discman over and over again. Don't get anything close to that feeling with music anymore.
@@workingtowork Hard to split. Probably Dude Ranch. There are 4 songs in a row on DR that I think are 12 minutes of the best music Blink ever wrote - Waggy, Enthused, Untitled, Apple Shampoo..
After telling my kids about seeing Blink for the first time in 99, I got to take them to see Blink in Denver last week..25 years later, and it was so fuckin cool to see them singing their songs!
I was a fan since 99, but life and happenstance didn’t allow me to see them live until last year in Seattle. My best friend was in the same boat so he flew out from Chicago to see them with me. What are the odds that a few months before he’d kinda made friends with Travis online. Dude our first blink show, Travis literally DM’d him and invited us backstage. Got to chill for a few minutes and caught Tom for a pic leaving his dressing room. Top 5 core memory there
I was lucky enough to see this set at the 99' Warped Tour in Denver, at Mile High Stadium. Even then, you knew you were seeing something massive. (Yes, I'm old.)
i think they use footage from this concert in the Urethra Chronicles - the Peggy Sue jam when Travis plays that sick beat with the hi hat chokes (a la Shut Up)
She was a Much Music VJ, I think Rachel? Just a bad fit for the crowd. Throwing bottles was pretty common back then. Happened at a lot of festivals like this, I was there somewhere in this crowd!
Travis' playing is just insane during this era. So clean, creative, fast, and fun to watch. Would KILL for a decent quality of a drum cam from this period
There was always clips of this set on the first "Urethra Chronicles" always wanted to be able to watch this full set. Amazing. Are you associated with blink in any way?
you can feel it.. the public, the mood, no phones, pure music and friends
saw one person lift a camera out of the crowd at the end lol. better times.
There were no cell phones in 1999...
As a 19 year old Blink fan from Toronto who missed out on warped tour, this is really fucking cool.
Toronto boi here too same age, I feel that

Found ya! What a great memory! I was only 13 years old at the time, and a little too small to get in that pit with the big kids 😂
🎉🎉🎉🎉
You’re probably still gay too

@@tb7667 Enthused is so underrated. Apple Shampoo is... oh boy don't get me started (in a good way)
@@thomasdasilva1464 I wish they would play songs like that live, rather than playing some of the overplayed singles for the 1000th time.
@@tb7667Waggy is Marks best song imo
I was there. We didn’t know at the time, in the late 90s, that things would never ever be this good again. To all the kids today, I’m sorry.
Thanks so much for putting this up
It was so hot that day, I remember it well. They ran out of beer towards the end of the festival. This was the same Saturday as Woodstock 99.
Omg 😮

Days when im still feel alive... ADAM SONG
25 years ago, a different world.
Crowd surfing, mosh pits, no phones in the air. These were the days!
This is the best Don’t Leave Me ever.
I was lucky enough to see this set at the 99' Warped Tour in Denver, at Mile High Stadium. Even then, you knew you were seeing something massive. (Yes, I'm old.)
So good! 20 year old me was at this show.
Best part is the music playing!!!
In aliens exist mark doing the DIEEEE got me 🤣🤣
That catch by Mark was AWESOME and then the fred impression! Plus breaking out into TLC. 😂 Bring back 1999.. 😭🙋♀️💯
Amazing video. Cheers from Spain (Andalusia State)

My friend was there. I wasn't born yet but that's the perks of working with older people is they get to tell you cool stories.
This might be the best ever live vocal performance from Tom ever
What was up with the crowd chucking bottles at the girl with the microphone at @12:07?

Thanx 4 sharing!!!!
Great shout outs to Grinspoon and The Living End, amazing Aussie bands.
so good, so raw
Real tube amps and cabs not a bunch of back tracking and amp simulators, auto tuning, click tracking and shit now

Peak blink
28:41 …aaand someone brought a huge piece of styrofoam
So strange to see Blink not end with Dammit.
Fantastic show
Wow the bridge of Peggy Sue at 06:50 was featured in the Urethra Chronicles
This brings so many memories from highschool...
all the small things ft. St. Anger
Because of the snare?
Enema of the state is my favourite blink-182 album
Travis!!!!
That snare though
Holy crowd surfing, these days you don't usually get that many people in the air at once unless the band eggs them on.
Haha mark “are we punk rock?”
Let’s just pretend this is blinks Woodstock 99 set
Peak.

They only gave blink 30 mins on warped tour in 1999? Dammn!
They had no idea I guess
Everyone had only 30 mins.
All bands played 30 minute sets and the schedule was changed everyday so there wasn’t a hierarchy between bands.
Haha keep in mind enema came out in June of ‘99 so they hadn’t reached superstar status just yet.
My left ear miss something
Travis was their dummer in 99? Whoa, I feel old.
Hurley cool Times

The ginormous kilo of coke crowd surfing during Carousel 😂
Also whoever did the song titles at the bottom of the screen did a really bad job 😂
they sound so bland live... pretty bad in other words
First time seeing blink live? Haha come for the antics not the technical precision haha.
