I was wondering if I could get in contact with one you guys prior to tuning? I need a little help picking a turbo upgrade that suits my needs from someone's who's experienced all of them. I Will hopefully be buying a tune from you guys within the next few months when it is installed. Btw I absolutely love the content, the Focus is such neglected platform with so much potential and I love someone's actually sticking to it and showing us the ins and outs of it. You have earned me as a future customer that's for sure.
Thanks Brandon! hey so reach out to support@edgeautosport.com or call the office - we have experience with many (not all) turbo setups and our sales team can help you choose. You can then buy an E-tune right off the website when installed.
I have a suggestion check out Tracy Lewis performance catch can, I use his big can with my focus. I also use their oil cap breather with this system. It's over 400 for the kit and you can disassemble and clean out the catch can. The main 1 way valve handles 100 psi of boost in the boost/manifold side of the system. This system has a pre turbo/throttle body line that will keep sucking while under boost.
I installed the two cans and baffle plate over the summer. So far so good. Any chance the old style coolant tank can still be ordered with green fittings to match the other fittings?
Awesome video! I was planning on purchasing the radium set up from you guys. Thanks for doing an instructional video for it. Do you guys have a video up showing the install of a BT on the Focus ST? Thank you guys for everything!
Thanks for watching Scott, glad you liked it! Follow one of those links to grab a kit for yourself - you wont regret it! So we did a video on the Garett Powermax recently, and we have plans to go larger (but not too big) down the road... stay tuned. Make sure to sub if you haven't already. 🍻
One catch can is for the PCV and the second catch can is for the crank case. There is a dual can kit available yes! edgeautosport.com/radium-engineering-dual-catch-can-kit-ford-focus-st-2013-2018/
Is the installation the same for mk3 and mk3.5 focus ST for these catch cans? Thanks for the awesome videos, great job guys :) BTW 1st Radium link is for the fiesta ST and not the focus ;)
The install should be the same, but we haven't specifically tested both, just make sure to check the fitment years (there's really only two kits for all USDM FoST applications)
@@EdgeAutosport well erm, I have a European ST, and an estate to make things even more interesting 😂 Anyway I don’t think there’s much difference between EU and US cars in terms of components positioning, most difference will be in the details of these components… Since I don’t do any track day I’m not sure a catch can will be a big reliability improvement on my car, I think that my next upgrade is either going to be for the smushy brakes or the suspensions… 😉
did you use lock tight on the coolant expansion bolts? Curious what you modified/cut during the install of the expansion tank? Was that for fitment of the bracket. BTW clean setup and excited to see whats next for project half send. Very interest in which BT you decided on this project.
Yeah, loctite blue was used when assembling the tank and smaller mounting screws. For the lower tank, you need to move the fan controller and trim it's plastic mount just a bit for a tidy install.
Some kits, like the Radium Symposer Delete come with a plug for the firewall: edgeautosport.com/radium-engineering-sound-symposer-delete-kit-ford-focus-st-2013-2018/
They supply the hose to interface with the stock hoses and connections. You saw us heat up and separate some stock connections, that will be required to make it all hook up.
FL is the new Fluid Lock model, the previous is discontinued. The new kits aren't on our store yet, but we can get a good price going order one for you if you'd like! Give us a call if interested.
@@EdgeAutosport Are the Fluid Lock models worth it? Does it even make a difference? Or are the ones that you install in the video above more than sufficient.
@@EdgeAutosport I have the current model that you put in project half send, I purchased it from you a couple months ago. Is it worth upgrading to the newer FL model?
Sorry, I am slow… but the front can takes gasses from the crankcase, catches the oil, then puts it into the intake. The rear can takes gasses from the valve cover instead of the crankcase? I didn’t think the valve cover would have gasses to recirc.
A length of hose is far cheaper than adding two catch cans... and then theres another maintenance item as well - the performance aftermarket strives to improve on what mass-produced cars leave out. Thats why we sell these awesome upgrades!
Question, I got a 2016 Ford Focus st added a gtx 2867r ever since I added cars been having all type of issues I didn’t install it but had somone install it , only major issue is when I boost or shift at high rpm’s it shoots out so much black smoke almost looks like I’m Driving a diesel truck , tuner says it’s normal and jus ignores my concerns please help :/
Hi Eddy, so we cannot edit another tuner's work... but it sure sounds like you are running incredibly rich with all that black smoke. We dont see a symptom like that with our tuned cars. If you would like to have us tune your car instead, feel free to pick up an e-tune on our site. If you have further questions, you can email tuning@edgeautosport.com

What lines are going “in” the can, and what line is “going out” of the catch can? Looking at picking up the upper crank case catch can. Just curious.
Just installed my Radium catch can last week. Great quality product!
Does this kit fit on the same engine in an Edge?

I imagine you could still order the green fittings direct from Radium, if they still make them.
How do you know the fluid level can't see what i assume is the white level measure and what did you cut for both installs

Whew I got here fast boys
I see you guys used blue threadlocker instead of red ... is that OK? I know Radium suggests using a "high heat" threadlocker which is red, yeah?
I am wondering why you need two catch cans. Is there 2 PCV ports? What is the 2nd hooked up to. Is there a kit for a Ford Focus?
One catch can is for the PCV and the second catch can is for the crank case. There is a dual can kit available yes! edgeautosport.com/radium-engineering-dual-catch-can-kit-ford-focus-st-2013-2018/
If u had to choose between one of the catch cans would u replace the pcv valve one or the other one? What one would u replace first?
If memory serves, the crankcase vent catches more oil, but it is definitely best to install both at the same time.
Is the installation the same for mk3 and mk3.5 focus ST for these catch cans?

Thumbnail has me dying lol 😂
Do you need to install the breather plate to install the catch can or can you just install the catch can ?
you can install a catch can with factory plate or after market
Is the radium coolant tank good with stock radiator and hoses?
They supply the hose to interface with the stock hoses and connections. You saw us heat up and separate some stock connections, that will be required to make it all hook up.
What is the difference between the “20-0315” and the “20-0315-FL” catch cans?

@@EdgeAutosport Are the Fluid Lock models worth it? Does it even make a difference? Or are the ones that you install in the video above more than sufficient.
The FL is rather your only choice now, it's a updated design. All the previous models are discontinued, but yes, it is a better design!
@@EdgeAutosport I have the current model that you put in project half send, I purchased it from you a couple months ago. Is it worth upgrading to the newer FL model?
Not necessarily, it's more emissions friendly, mainly.
Excellent 👍
Thanks for watching!
I have the pcv catch can but what is the rear radium catch can filtering if you don’t mine me asking?
One can filters the crankcase, and the other filters the valve cover. Some designs combine the two, but radium separates the two sources.

How much you want for that intake pipe

If this was needed, why didn't the engineers from Ford install them at the factory?

Well I’m screwed, I’ve gone 70k miles without one 🤦🏽♂️ I know what mod I’m getting next
My kit didn't come with a fucking plug for the plate! Pissed off
My eBay catch cans work just as well
How much u pay?
