  • This is the part 2 of the cylinder head replacement I did on a Focus. In this video, I'll show you how to time this engine. This is also applicable to many 4 cylinder Ford engines with timing chain.

    I was timing my crankshaft and it was off by one tooth will that keep my car from starting

    Boss normal ba yon na pag i crank yong injector cirtcuit nya pulser ay taas nag 6 volts and 15 volts

    Boss. Sana ma pansin. Lahat ng 2.0 2013-2015 dito sa pinas, pa hinugot ang oil dip stick, matalsik ang oil.
    Jan rin po ba sa US pag hinugot dip stick, natalsik rin po ang oil? Salamat po.

      Yes sir, malakas tlaga lalo na pag turbo, mas mataas ang crankcase pressure pag may turbo kaya yung iba may crankcase pressure sensor to monitor

      @@kuyasautoventure salamat boss! Mga mang kanor po kase dito sa pinas, laging hinahatulan ng Blowby ang mga 2012-2015 focus na 2.0 Gas. Kahit na sobrang kundisyon. Hehehe more power sayo boss!

      Hindi ata sir, timing belt po ata yung 1.6 na focus (walapo kasi focus dito na may 1.6). Pero escape meron dito na 1.6 -timing belt

    Don't know how old this is but if i could get the English version of what you did with the camshaft and y you turned them like that before you put the plate in would be really helpfully and greatly appreciated

      Sorry timothy, I’m not gonna be able to give you an English version of this video. But i’ll tell you why i spun the camshaft before i put the timing plate in. The timing plate will only go in 1 position. The slots on the camshafts are offset, so you can’t really install the plate in if one or both of the cams are in the wrong position, so if the alignment plates won’t go in, that means the cams are not in the right position, so you have to turn them to get to the correct alignment position. Also make sure all the pistons are in the middle of the bores before you turn the camshaft to prevent the valve from hitting the piston. Once you get the camshaft plate in, then you can turn the crankshaft to cylinder 1 TDC using the alignment peg. Hope this helps

      Thank you that helps a lot i know this a 2.0 but it's should be the same concept for a 2.3 right? I heard the 2.0 2.3 and 2.5 are all pretty much the same concept for timing

      You replaced the cylinder head? What car is this? And how many cam position sensor you have on the vehicle?

      Minimal lang dapat. Oval yung butas nung mounting ng sensor, kaya meron adjustment, pero every time na tinanggal ang sensor or harmonic balancer (pulley), kelangan I perform misfire correlation or correction procedure with a capable scanner, otherwise pwede magkaroon ng false misfire DTC and ilaw ang check engine light without actual misfire. Yung butas ng pulley kelangan naka align dun sa butas sa fron cover kapag mag install
