I really enjoyed this movie, sure it was more of a family drama then horror but I don't care I love these characters and they've become synonymous with modern horror, I love the idea that this was a movie about childhood trauma and finding closure, and i shed a tear at the end when miss Lin Shaye popped up again! and then patrick's cover of "Stay" at the end just iconic! great reaction guys!

There are elements of the third and fourth that make this film make more sense. Example, the door/s were opened in the end of the fourth one which started everything in the first one.

Y’all are the most in sync couple on RUclips. Y’all literally vibrant on the same wavelength and exude serious best friend energy even tho y’all are a couple. However, I’m always overjoyed when y’all new movie reaction hits the RUclips streets. IMO, dalton and Josh’s relationship suffered because their connection was severed, but at the end, they reconnected and protected each other.

The reason the teacher makes a point of having the students tear up their artwork - even when its good - is that as a 'drawing' artist, you must realize you cannot grow artistically, if you idolize what came before. As a failed, but ever aspiring artist at 40yrs I can agree - you must be able to work on something for days and then discard it, saying: 'this work was not perfection, it was merely growth!'

this entry of Insidious played out more like one of The Conjuring movies to me.

It's ok for a horror movie. It's just that the first two really set the bar high; those movies were much more cohesive, unsettling throughout, and were able to maintain the scary factor even for scenes where there weren't jump scares. This film, on the other hand, definitely went a different direction with a lot of the stylistic and creative choices that toned down pretty much everything. I do like the addition of Chris's character though and would love to see more of Chris and Dalton's teamwork/friendship.

The writing in this was kind of bad but I love the nostalgia factor of it but it cut some great callbacks from the trailer out of the movie which I was disappointed in. I hope that there's a sequel and they bring Leigh Whannel back as the writer of it. I wish that Renai and Cali got more to do considering how focused they were in the first two movies.

This is my third fave in the series. A lot people like 3 but I think it's trash. 4 is good b/c of Elise but the humor is kind of embarrassing from what I remember. In this one, I am fully invested in the family. It wasn't as scary as the first two and it's a little clunky with the script but I like the performances and Patrick Wilson did a good job directing. I think it's a fine closing chapter.
I loved this movie so much, but everyone seems to hate it… this is one of my favourites in the whole franchise.

In my opinion, this one isn't really my favorite. I don't think it really holds up
You need to react to 3 and 4. They are prequels and Elise is fantastic in them. You should react to Hate Crime. It's not a horror movie but more of a thriller. It's about a gay couple who's new neighbor is homophobic and some one is killed. Lyn Shae plays their other neighbor who is friends with the gay couple.

If you want a more gay horror/ slasher type film there is Hellbent ( gay friends being stalked by a killer on Halloween) or there's Midnight Kiss ( gay group being killed on New Year's Eve). Which has Scott Evans, Chris Evans' out gay brother.

Do you see the scene in the end of the light above the door still on. This can´t be the last movie is not grand enough and Elise says to Josh to be sturd, my opinion shes´s gonna need them in the future. In scary this is the weakest of all, but the emoction factor is very good, I beleve bring a old villain without explain it, made tis movie a little weak in the lore itself.

She is a prime example of why I don’t like some art teachers. How is telling your students on their first day to rip up a piece art they worked hard on teaching them art. They are paying you teach art not give your opinion. Also how the fuck is saying their piece looks like a photograph not a compliment. Like who gave you a degree to teach art because they need to take it away.

As someone who just could NOT take the first Insidious movie seriously, I really love how y’all react to these! It’s fun to see what you’re getting out of them that I didn’t seem to connect to and really makes me want to give them another chance!

"anti-climatic" "demon is not as scary as the first movie" BINGO. This movie is a letdown compared to the other 4 movies, and I am confused how it earned so much at the box office. Sure, 2, 3 and 4 are mildly flawed, but I would watch any of them a second time. I have zero interest in watching The Red Door. Almost all the college scenes were badly written, boring, and badly acted. Not a bad film, but not a film worth a rewatch, imo.
Honestly, kinda' low-key hated the ending of this one... Makes no real sense.
Sorry, but just throwing some paint over a painting does nothing to the Further or to the lipstick demon.
IMO, they just couldn't figure out how to actually end things, and just came up with some twaddly nonsense.
