(And once i get a set of these wheels and tyres fitted to the Ravine, i am going to challenge him to a rematch !! As the tyres were the only thing that held the ravine back !)
It's already on the market under the RGT name of the HSP brand. It's called RGT FJ Desert Fox and it's available from several retailers. Btw I'm driving my RGT EX86100 for a while now and that thing's a blast! Great competitor to the big brands. Can easily hold up without any major mods. :) Like the brand very much.

That's a great looking truck, and performs as well as it looks!! My son has a Mauler, and that goes well. This looks like a big step up from that. FTX must be listening to their customers. 👍🏻

Pretty much every part of every rc car will be made in China anyway. They are the world leaders in technology and scientific advancement, it's just the west does not wish to say that.
First, stuff happens, you sounded fine, the sound truck made sounded fine actually the truck sounded great. FTX has done their work well. You mentioned the four link could be changed to give more articulation. I thought the suspension looked really smooth and worked WITH the tires exceedingly well. It didn't have that jarring, stutter step, bouncey dismount from obsticals. Approach angle seemed really good, it did drag a little bit on the rear but for a RTR it's a good comprimise. Granted, it's probably a well groomed. tweaked to perfection prototype. If the production models are this good out of the box and price is reasonible they have a winner..
Yes the front 4 link is slightly better with one link removed. The Panhard bar acts as one of the top links, so with one removed toy get a little more flex. But you are right... it performs really well straight out the box

At first i was like oh god just what the world needs another plastic crawler but i have to say that lil beauty completely changed my mind that body is sweet and it really digs in and climbs my only concern is whats the after market upgrade parts going to be like i dont know much about FTX but im kind of a crawler snob those plastic axle housings would have to go and portals would be a necessity but like i said its a nice lil truck so far

NICE! Looks to be quite a capable trail rig/crawler. Might be an extra mm on those wheel wells that could be trimmed, but those tires are serious enough to get you over and through a great deal I am sure. Send er’ on over here for the durability test! 😂

Now that's a nice looking rig Phil,have they given any idea as to what the price is going to be? I love the fact that they've gone with a reverse transfer case,to eliminate any torque twist. Those tyres look to be pretty decent for a set of RTR ones.
When the RGT version of this came out in where I live (Hong Kong) everyone was skeptical about this truck that costs 185pounds...but after people tried it its all sold out in all shops within a month and no stock for 2months!

It does look like a capable rig that would be a good base to start from. Are those aluminum oil filled shocks, they perform like they are. It will be interesting to see how customizable it will be with parts, seems like the usual BG 1/10 scale upgrades may work. Good vid man
