@@steveo7767 Yeah, but he's got the Californian Scouse accent now, same as Ringo Starr. No doubt his mates lovingly take the piss when he goes back to Liverpool.
Rowleys part in Flips Extremely Sorry Was the reason I started skateboarding in the early 2000's. And he has my favorite quote of "Skaters fight concrete for a living, and win." What a Legend!
mine was Reynolds but i feel you on Really Sorry/extremeley sorry. bought a Rowley flip board. hated the nose and tail setup but it wasnt about that. i thought it would help me charge
To be able to relive moments in time with Tony and Ellis and have their guests give their take on it it’s just wild. Gnarly episodes. Keep em coming gents! 🫡
The park in San Diego was missile park that you were trying to remember. That’s the best interview with Geoff I’ve ever seen. I remember we were skating San Dieguito 10 rail & Geoff Rowley rolled up with Jamie Thomas, Andrew Reynolds, Brian Sumner, & Atiba. We all sessioned that rail together for an hour. It’s one of my favorite skateboard memories from the 90’s in SD. P.S. Sturt would be a great guest.
I was at Tampa pro one year Geoff was skating the park down the street I got to shake his hand and do a back to back rail trick with him made my freaking life for sure he is a genuine guy
It's crazy the three different accents but what's even crazier is I had no idea. Jeff was English. I just thought he was an American kid. I used his name one time as a child getting out of trouble with the police and I got away with it. Somehow, I'll never forget using Geoff rowley as my alias haha 😂
That's just hit my top 3. In no particular order The Chin Ramp episode because of how much fun it looked and those inch perfect inverts. Heath episode for Heath just being himself. And this one. Rowley is so hardcore. He has got to be one of the most consistently gnarly pro's ever. The slams he's taken. Legendary tricks. And still 100% skate. I used to skate all the old London spots back in the late 80's and Wurzel and Mac from Death Box would be there. They were the spark that lit the Flip fuse. The rest is some serious history.
As someone from the uk growing up seeing so many American skaters being the faces of the sport, having Geoff to relate to was awesome, always got his flip boards, legend
Rowley set the record straight on how to say his name on the two biggest skateboarding podcasts back to back weeks. Nobody should ever say it wrong again. Lol. Rowley, Ellis, thank you for the arm wrestling match. That was amazing.
I met Geoff at the Vans shop in Belmont Shore when i was buying his "Built Strong" hat with my daughter. He was one of the nicest most humble skate pros. Legend!
Tony! We Appreciate the photos and videos you find! seeing a photo in context with your guys story makes it soo much better! also alot of the video skate stuff ive never seen before like the sky scraper jump! super cool to see!
Oh man! I remember when the first Tony Hawk Pro Skater came out it was awesome. I know there were a couple half-butt skate games before it. But I remember getting pumped to go skate by playing. Came back home played THPS. And then went back out with my buddies to skate more. We had mini ramp. 2 kicker ramps. a quarter pipe and a nice 10 foot box 14 inch high. If we weren't around the neighborhood skating we were downtown or at the schools and churches nearby for the stairs and rails Best years of my life
I found Geoff talking about head placement/posture during tricks super interesting especially since hearing Chris Coles tips for crooks and where to place ur head for them I nvr thought of that factor myself but I guess that's why Geoff n Chris are on a different level 😅
Man I enjoy Rowleys personality so much. He reminds of the dudes I met in Iraq who were with the British 3rd Para unit. Those dudes were tough as nails, funny as hell, and never missed a tea party!
TONY YOU NEED TO HAVE HOSOI ON THE POD. Its a cannon event atp, we need the inside details of the rivalry between you too. Loving the old school pods man.
An aggressive manny is when you are going in to a steep ramp. The kind where you have to start falling in well before the end of the manual. You can get real aggressive to get a hard pump out out of em. Also so sick! Geoff was my first favorite skater!
I probably would not skate without the video games so thanks everybody! Started skateboarding in the Christmas of 2000 in the basement because THPS2 stoked me so much. Had to skate there 4 months until the snow had melted outside.
I'm from near Liverpool and playing THPS2 was my first introduction to skateboarding, so Geoff Rowley has been that guy over the years. Legend, even if he is a scouser.
Next time you’re in PDX; you need to come skate some curbs w/ me and the homies! They’re definitely under a foot- so you can get as aggressive as you want. 😁
People do not understand just how talented and dedicated you have to be to rise in skateboarding when you come from the UK. Rowley, emerging out of England, ascending to the peaks of all of skateboarding is extra impressive. Having sampled the Scottish terrain and parks, I now know that skaters from the British Isles/Ireland are about as tough as they come. The pavement is beat by the rain and weather, and there isn't a smooth surface ot be found, so the whole place is one big death zone. The culture doesn't really support skateboarding that much because we'd rather be in the pub drinking. It's so funny to hear him talk about how he couldn't figure out the concrete in California when just one tiny spill in the UK will tear you up and probably leave you scarred. I would've liked to hear about how he got into photographing elusive mountain goats, did the Rowley dark slide come about on accident or was he trying to do it, and was it just raw talent that made him so good or did he have to work hard. I like the idea of an aggressive manual. The arm wrestling in the middle of the interview--men are so weird, but life just ain't as fun without them. So, wrestle on.
Sounds like Jason went to the Lower East Side Skatepark in NYC. Supposedly Tony did a Rock N Roll on the wall ride in that park. In the Rad Board video review of the park Vincent Basille says it.
Love the 3 different English/Australian/American accents in display
technically, Geoff has the Scottish accents. But both his English and Scottish sounds good

As an old guy, I freaking love listening to other old guys talk.
As 31 years old i too like listening to old guys 😂
33 hear. soon to be 34. its also badass to hear Rowley talk cuz he never did much and we always looked at him like this dude DOESN’T GIVE A FUCK!
36. Love it
Rowley is easily in my top 5. Arm wrestling Ellis might of solidified number 1
His comments on posture and mentality are mirroring me with BMX. Kind of cool to hear not everyone just sends it.
Yeaaaaaa me too
I ride bmx I wish more people would get bmx all the other extreme sports it’s all the same we all look at the world the same

That story about how he met Tom was so rad, they're both in my top 5 forever.
That perfect casual 360 flip on flat riding 90 m/h after the 50-50 was even more gnarly.
Great episode. This one had everything and you guys are nailing it!
Geoff made a great point ....Thank you Tony Hawk you did and still are doing great things

Truly a skater to arm wrestle both ways 😂😂
I wasn't expecting a random arm wrestling competition. 🤣
The spontaneous arm wrestling was so good! 🤣
Best episode ever. One and a half minutes of straight yelling and 4 more minutes of heavy breathing 🤣
Honestly, I just love Jason sometimes! It’s that fighter thing in him or athlete, just shoots from the hip and calls it what it is. Legend.
Banger of an episode once again.
100 % ❤
Whoever that was doing the arm wrestling close ups…..GIVE THEM A RAISE!!!!

"I don't think there's an aggression to a manual , I've never felt it". Lmao Love Rowley
Awesome episode this pleased my inner kid! Geoff the GOAT!
Dude, I know Mike Hathcoat and I wonder how freaked out he is right now that Geoff Rowley and Jason Ellis just arm wrestled on his coffee table😂

Just cool watchin ProBros being Pro. Thank you gentlemen!!🎉
Doing the retake on the chin ramp is a dream. SIC
Rowley XL3 best skate shoe of all time...Glad i still have a fairly new pair for special occasions.
I had Rowley's shambles His in the 00s. Chunky and heavy made you feel brave and ready for action strapping them on.
Any time I hurt myself I still, to this day in Geoff's accent, say "that felt fookin tasty. Let's do it again, are you ready?"
I love this podcast !!!!
Geoff was like “I’m not cool? Arm wrestle RIGHT NOW!” 😂
one of your best shows ! Jeff is one funny trucker !

One of the, if not THE, gnarliest street skaters to ever step on a board right there.

Geoff is/was my inspiration to skate.Still. 20 odd years..Only ever, used his character on Tony hawk..
THPS 1 darkslides alll day long! left, right, triangle 🤟

Going to need a BLASTER tee after that arm wrestling
