I now realize just how well they nailed it on finals night, but I really enjoyed watching different angles on this run. By far, still one of the greatest years for BD.
Thanks, Brian! Being a part of this show was quite possibly one of the greatest things I will ever do in this lifetime. As a '94 rookout and not performing for quarterfinals (damn rain!), this show was extra special - probably even more so than finals night! But still...it was such a magical season. Thanks for your comments - that's me at the very end of the show, doing the double jump turn at the top of the heart. I'm just sayin'. Heehee!
@@shonsimsii1114 omg!!! I almost thought you were doing a triple axel! 94 Devils is the show that made me fall in love with drum corps!!! Congratulations and THANK YOU!!!
This was a very confident group. My wife was working at the bingo hall and told me that one of the young women in color guard also working bingo had rings on all her fingers except one. She told my wife she was saving that finger for her DCI championship ring.
Undefeated all captions entire season. Was told by Wayne and Dave we were only the second corps to accomplish this, the first was an earlier 80s BD corps.
Absolutely spectacular! My favourite show of all time. Unfortunately I didn’t start corps for another 2 years after this, so I never got to see this show live. This semis performance almost gave me that feeling today! Thank you for uploading this!
So that's what that show looks and sounds like in that field minus the fog and the "I'm still wet" yell. One more thing, forgot that the asst drum major started out at the center of the field.
I want these blue devils back. So this was what 26 years ago didn’t these kids go forth and multiply and make more blue devils? You would think by now these kids kids would be old enough to march and save DCI.
Jonathan T you mean the designers and arrangers who are the same ones that are designing BD today? Scott Chandler, Dave Glyer, Scott Johnson, Wayne Downey. There then and there presently.
thanks so much for sharing this. definitely one of my all-time favorite, most inspirational shows. certain things were REALLY on on semis. that quintet were so dangerous. day danse was breath-taking and i love how they ended their 95 show with the closure of that moment. i had never seen the moment at 12:42 before!
@@Disrupterds I appreciate the comment man and you're probably right but I have to respectfully disagree about two of those years you mentioned...... '96 was that "criminal" show right? All they did was blast I'm sorry....... and '98 was the West Side Story/Romeo and Juliet when they placed third ~ eh I've heard better.
Can anyone tell me if they changed uniforms in 94 midseason? I saw them in July and could have sworn they had the 93 style unis. Event he shirt I bought had the old unis on it. But this sounded way cleaner than finals.
BD is not as hated as a lot of people say. If BD came out with shows like this and 2014's "Felliniesque", I would go crazy for them winning, every time. But when they come out with stuff like 2010, 2012 and 2019...I'm sorry, but I just don't enjoy that stuff. Here's to hoping they go back to more "crowd friendly" shows in the future.
Try watching 2012 again, with the understanding of what "dada" is and view with an open mind. I didn't get it back then but watching it now, that show was way ahead of it's time, like Star '93.

I miss F Tuning 😭😭 Those G Bugles have such a bigger sound... what a freaking show and started the 90's run!
Undefeated all captions entire season. Was told by Wayne and Dave we were only the second corps to accomplish this, the first was an earlier 80s BD corps.
Probably 82....the prior undefeated season for BD.
My all time fav DrumCorpsshow🤙
I miss these kinds of warm ups....on the field...
F-Tuning and The Ditty! Oh, how I miss starting a show with that!
So much high end brass intensity. Favorite BD chart of all time.
My high school marching band emulated (copied?) this for our 1996 season.
24 years have passed and I'M STILL WET ❤
What school
This and a don Ellis portrait are my two favorite BD musical performances ever
I got the chance to see them in rehearsal in the Beginning of the Season! They was on Fire!
My favorite BD show of all time. That part from 7:30-8:10 just blows me away. Loudest horn line I have ever heard live in 30 plus years of drum corps.
Couldn’t agree more. When amplification was not needed nor required.
@@scvanguard1 Amplification was never "required," per se.

I was there for Nats and the finals performance was in a league of its own.
Thanks for uploading this.
I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
Crazy to think most of the members are pushing 50yo

@@Disrupterds Carolina Crown can consistently be #1 in brass................as long as BD is consistently DCI Champions .
Unpopular opinion here but todays horn lines are just as good or even better

might as well given them the trophy at concord pavilion that year !

Last time we word the classic uniform was at the Concord Pavilion performance in April. Wore the new uniform the entire competitive season.

Quite frankly, I never warmed up to Felliniesque.
