Early season versions of shows are always so much fun. It is interesting to hear everything that gets hosed and removed during the summer. There are always things that make you say "Oh, no that doesn't work at all." and some that make you say "Oh, jeez, why did they get rid of that?"
I LOVED the old ones but BOY where the new ones sharp?! And it was TIME! It MAY have even been time a year earlier because that 1993 drill was hard in those big jackets.
This show and the 95 pavilion show were both insanely good. I’ve never heard another sound like them !!!
A great preview of DCI championship #7. I remember this day well.
I bought the casette tape of this performance from the BD souvie truck at DCI East in Allentown in 1994. My first DCI show....

love the old suits, but the uni change was very needed and really helped this show visually.
Last time they wore the old uni's before debuting the new ones in 94

Just realized the ending of the ditty was slightly different here. 1:04
Thank you for posting this. I can hear the changes that were made later in that season. Their first championship they had in nearly a decade.
I was there at this show! My brother played for the air force drum n bugle core!
Brad Foster, do you have this entire show??? Ive been trying to find this for years.
🔥🎺What a solid wall of sound🎺🔥
I see you posted this and SCV 94. I don't suppose you had Freelancers 94 you can post or share?
I'm sorry, I checked the raw file, and no other groups on the recording.
the drum major high on the hornline @12:38 is awesome. What a pleasure it must have been to have that hornline in your face
James Gulke. So I glad I was able to have him as a drummajor before he aged out. What a legend
James Gulke is to me the BD DM 🐐
