- Super Cyborg (Contra clone) All Bosses (No Damage, Normal). Super Cyborg is awesome fan-made Contra made by indie developer for PC (available in Steam). It's a really good game, it's playing like old Contra games: Super Contra + Contra Hard Corps. All hardcore Contra fans should try it. ;)

I personally love the bio-mechanical body horror style from shooters in the 90's, it's a shame there's not more games with that aesthetic. It's a simple story, too; science experiment to create personal army goes wrong, clean-up crew are sent in to fix the problem and silence the megalomaniac behind it!

honestly theres quite a few games with it. Most, if not every Contra, basically all Contra-likes such as Blazing Chrome, Iron Meat, and Super Cyborgs.

The "eye that can turn into a mouth" is one of my favorite body-horrory motifs ever, and I love its use here in the first boss.

Dude, I'm finding out about some AMAZING games I never knew about because of your channel. Like, I love awesome modern-retro games like Shovel Knight, Axiom Verge, La-Mulana etc. and thought I kept up with that scene fairly well, but I had NO idea a lot of these you've been showing off here even existed. very unique, thoughtful level design. the entire game basically consists of nothing but bosses and other unique situations. Must have been a lot of work. no simply re-using the same enemies in slightly different formations and platforms.

Dang, I had a blast watching this! The boss design is amazing, both visually and mechanically, and the game looks challenging without being stressful or impossible. The visuals, sounds, and mechanics in general seem really well-done. To write this off as a mere Contra clone would be doing it a disservice, and I think calling it "Contra-inspired" would give it the respect it deserves. Nice video, and great gameplay!
The game is impeccably made. Great care was obviously put into every single aspect of its design, and it's become my favorite run n gun aside from Metal Slug 3. If you haven't played it, you definitely should.
Never knew this even existed until now. Definitely keeps you on your toes, and enjoyed the character designs. Definitely something for me to brave, one day.
The creativity in these bosses is insane! But wow, this looks harder then cuphead and super contra combined!

This game's aesthetic looks like it draws influence from not only Contra but also Abadox. And the soundtrack is top-notch!

The other way around. Humans take inspiration from the Aliens that we abducted and jailed at Area 51. Then we examine their parts and organs and chuck them into a game and make them game bosses.

This game is 5 stars!! The bosses incredibly detailed, sprites are beautiful (even tho they ugly as monsters) game play is right on the bullet hell is hard but not broken. The music and sounds could become "classic" sounds. This game is a 5 stars good job whoever made this

Sound effects are ripped and the main character sprite is drawn over the original. So technically it's a rip-off, but it's executed amazingly well.

That really hurts, because they were my favorite developers, when I was growing up. 8-bit and 16-bit Contras and Castlevanias, TMNT beat 'em ups, freaking Gradius's and Jackal. Then there was the era of classic Silent Hills (1-3) and Metal Gear Solids (1-3). God, how could they fuck up so many amazing franchises and lose all the talanted people that once were working there?

you know I keep looking at that head/living acid vat thing and I keep finding myself with more questions each time, first one was more of a comment but when it's eyes started fighting i was like "really? It's not even dead?" and now I'm wondering what the plan was for all that acid inside it's bowl head.
If you play the game and look closely at the background during the opening level, you can see the final boss in the background dropping some sort of spores as it flies by. It's definitely some sort of nasty chemical at the very least.
This looks like some fever dream of the NES games of my youth.
