Awesome job! This reminded me, I have a little Tomberlin 110cc pit bike in my basement under a cover. I gave it to my daughter when she turned 12 (she's 25 now). She got on it, rode it about 50 feet, lost control and crashed into the trampoline, and wouldn't go near it again! That's when I got her that little Suzuki LT80 ATV, and she still rides that little thing to this day. That pit bike has been parked there ever since. This video makes me want to go dig that thing out and see if I can get it going again. I rode it way back when, and it is stupid fast for what it is. Hard to keep the front wheel on the ground, but it is hilariously fun. I may go drag that thing out right now. Thank you for another journey down memory lane.
I say go for it! My son enjoys the 49cc pocket bike i bought for myself 15 years ago!👌🏻👌🏻
How do you abandon such a gem 😔
Go rebuild that thing!! I bet a little tune up and it'll fire right up!!
Lol. I was just smiling the whole time watching that dog. They are the best
I don’t know who was having more fun you or the puppy!
Love watching Vinnie chasing you. That dog is in great shape.
Love it when Vinny tries to keep up with you his little legs working overtime bless him love him
Best RUclipsr in my opinion have watched almost every video!!!!
Vinny needs to be included on future test rides.
You killed it, Joe, excellent job. It runs and sounds great, lot of fun right there!!!
Another great video. Check the mesh oil filter in the clutch side casing. I had a 110cc pit bike with a similar chewed up,piston. The filter was completely blocked and I suspect it caused oil starvation to the piston and bore.
You’ve literally fixed 6-7bikes before I’ve even finished the bike I’m going to be using all the time when it’s done hahaha 😝
I can build a pitbike frame up in one day ik someone give me a cookie loll
You do realize these videos are prerecorded lol
@@chavasrt4428 🍪
@@darreng2639 yea I get that , my point still stands though 👍🏼🤦🏻♂️
@@chavasrt4428 yea I’m doing a 07 ninja 250 build little bit more work then a 4banger 125cc pit bike , 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
You’re videos are so good man. I’ve watched almost all your videos and I’ve learned so much from them. Keep these coming! My only suggestion is to not skip small things like putting the rings on the piston. Mainly because I don’t know how lol. But I understand if you don’t want your videos too long. I wouldn’t mind personally haha.
What have u learned bro,god dammit!👁👀👁🤯🤯🤔🤔
@@craigmorgan4676 ?
Slobber the rings well with oil. Don't dry start a new piston, can create high heat and score the cylinder quick. An Assembly lube is recommended.
Rings, lap valves, clean carb.
Your little dog chasing you was awesome.
Literally love this man his videos are some of the best he shows nearly everything just overall your a W bro love the vids :)
That dog is awesome, he's in great shape 👍
Cool little bke. Will look great with some new plastics on it. That pipe looks to big. Stock is probably half the size. lol. Cute pup. Thanks for sharing.
Oh man that puppy sure is working out hahahaha nice video!
Hone went nice man, you'll be fine. Great job. Now every time I have one of those come in I'll think bout your crazy little project there. Get lots of the 90s, 80s, 70s, and 50s and tote goat mini bikes in. Folks get them for grand kids and they tear em up quickly. Got an old 1975 XR 75 out back I'm gonna restore, was one of my first bikes as a kid. Its worth quite a bit now. Still has good motor, just needs a few minor things and tlc.great job on that old beater you got. Nice work!
Ran with no oil for a few minutes, dont take long. Seem a few of those. Not good, check your oil people, or dont we gotta keep the lights on and feed our families to. Get em Benny!!
Love the vids been watching sense you started and watched you grow keep up the good work and never stop
Sorry Joe, Vinny is the new superstar here😂😂😂, good job on the bike though, 👍👍👍👍
Love the vid mate. Would love to see more pit bike/pocket bike vids!
I love how vinnie is like a mincraft dog he will just follow anywhere
Your videos always make me tinker on my Grom. I dig the little pit bike Coolio video👍🏼👍🏼
Joe, that is the cutest dog on earth bro! Great job on the pit bike, you resurrected that poor, abused bike from sure death.
He got robbed that pitbike is worth like 300 bucks
If the rings are crap. Replace with non chromolly rings. That style tend to settle and have to be rebroken in if not ran regularly. Compression ring will stick.
Love the video! Tip when your pouring your motor oil in try turning the bottle the other direction it won't chug
Your video timing is perfect ! Just picked up a ttr125 to stroll around the neighborhood 😎. And awesome work by the way !
always a good morning when theres a new vid
Nice job on saving it.
But let's be honest, this video deserves a thumbs up just for for Vin. 😍
Another great vid , loving the dog racing you round 😂👍
The FMF muffler is worth more than the bike 😁
The perfect sized bike for Vinnie 👍
I love Joe's dog he has to have the coolest color on a dog I've ever seen
Just a suggestion but, maybe try taking off the caps using pliers and a quarter. They can be a pain sometimes lol. Another great video brother, thank you and be safe :)
Great little bike joe sounds and runs great cool little dog too enjoyed chasing you around the garden take care mate and all the best 🔧🔧🔧👍👌
Man if it wasn’t for you Joe I wouldn’t have known how to do valve clearances and shimming them still learning how to shim and working out the tolerances, nice job young man,who said you can’t teach an ol dog new tricks 😊
I just love Vinnie ❤️
Looks like it got run without oil. That’s quite a bit of ring gap for that tiny piston. 4 stroke = 0.4 to 0.5% of piston diameter so maybe.006-.007”
Awesome video bro. Long time fan 👍🏻
Right on bro. Best bike rebuild vid ive seen yet. Vinnie is cool too. Awesome how he runs with you like my Lilly dog pomchi does. Ill let her ride with me in a sling.
Best RUclipsr out there
I'd love to see you renovate your garage !
Love watching your videos I never miss them you take on any challenge you remember alot of my father he loved doing what you do with cars
favorite part of this video is your pup chasing you. awesome!!!!!
Couldn't have sat on a barn years if 2022 though Joe. Great videos mate
Poor Vinnie saying damn Joe where's the sidecar .. the 90 my friend has for his son has a 3speed Trans in it don't know what the year is but pretty cool bringing another bike back to life for someone to enjoy..
And all that work you should have done a big bore kit its about the same price as buying a new oem cylinder and piston kit
Watching Vinnie run behind you and enjoy is so cool 👌🏻👌🏻 good work man, and yes that's one tiny little piston! 🤏🏻
dog is so freaking cute
Another bike driven hard until it ran to low on Oil. Due to high heat the Aluminum piston will weld itself to the cylinder wall. No so much scratching the cylinder but depositing the molten Aluminum on to it. Honing removed it. Good Job.
Just did the same repair on a ttr 90 I picked up. Just needed rings and hone. All in spec. These take a beating. Also it has 3 gears fyi
Yess finally a pit bike vid 🔥
Tt-r 90 with tt-r 110 plastics. Keep that in mind when getting plastics. It all comes down to preference but I personally would want to keep it looking like the 110 instead of the 90
Benny's such a cute dog. And he sure can run :-)
As a kid I had a 90cc Yamaha endure 1973 model. I ran her wide open in every gear. I could tear her up lol
Nice little pittie and the pup is absolutely adorable 👍🍻
Cute dog ! Hes pretty fast for havin tiny legs..😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
So when you hone it you don't need to go bit bigger piston? Would have been good to see the compression after it was fixed.
W videos w you w life w Chanel 👑👑👑
The dog was hilarious!!!
Heck yeah man your killing it.
Love this video I especially love Vinnie he is an awesome a little dog and I think it was cool how he chased you love the videos and I love your channel Great content.
Jug is probably toast to is rings are stuck. Easy peasy Joe. Little but simple... 😮
Good job on your mechanic skills brother and I love the color of your little doggy he's a beautiful chocolate
Best part about the video was the dog for sure
If the screw on carb is airbox side it's an airscrew bud
Nice race against the dog. lol Had me laughing.
You should take Vinny for a ride on the bike. I bet he would love it
Vinny keeps right up with ya.😊
Looks like pretty much everything one we've done top ends on. NASTY! You can hone it out pretty easy and save it probably. Looking like oil starvation. Common issue with those TTR bikes.
Man I love all your vids but this one may be my favorite since I have just run my son through a bunch of pit bikes that needed my TLC. This one ties with the suzuki 2 stroke being ridden on ice LOL. I ride year round here in NYC so know the feeling.
proper break in
Those are ttr 110 plastics I know high sided films did the swap and has a video on it I think had to fab some stuff up to get them on correctly but they will wor
Reminds me of my Baja dirt runner 90s, love my bikes
My wife is in love with Bennie the dog. Cute dog.
Got the same kind of engine and pit bike I do engine is somewhat reliable usually the valves get pushed out and you have to adjust them and I have had my CD I box go had no spark I've had it in three different bikes now and it's still runs to this day
Nice, ur dog has a good teacher...💥💥💪💪
Do a compression test with the fresh top end
Vinny is Super Cool!
You got to get Vinnie a helmet and seat too cute to keep him running like that
You need to get a ring squaring tool in order to get an accurate reading on ring gap.
Vinny just replaced Charley as top guest star ..... chuck fer shur cant dance on command
Vinnie has turned out to be a great dog. I wonder, does he hunt with you or is just a family pet? He's really well behaved! (in newer videos this one is 10 months old as I'm writing this comment!)
Your pup is as smart as he is cute hehe
Those transmissions are week on Those Chinese bikes and quads, the gear cogs round off easily resulting in jumping out of gear. The ones with the gy6 clone are very good, they have a cvt drive that works well.
Wish I had your skills I have a Suzuki lt125 and I’ve checked everything just impossible to start and when it does start it does soon as you touch gas, I put in a new plug, fresh tank of gas, brand new oem carburetor, cleaned up inner coil, checked valves and timing both are spot on and all cleaned all of the ground wires, put a bit of oil down head and checked compression it was over 160 any suggestions are apprieciated
Fun little bike throw some new plastics on and a big bore kit and keep it 👍
Cool that u r making it all in1 video
Yeah i agree, although it might be cause this was a fix, usually if he tries and tries and can’t get it to run he splits the videos, but yeah it’s definitely better like this, cause usually I end up forgetting about the build by the time the other part comes out
Get Vinny some goggles and a scarf bro he’s ready for a ride 😂
If that jugs not tapered, you may haveto put piston in jug first. Kind of a pain but sometimes you got to do it
Looks like Vinnie could use a summer shave lol
Those little boogers are hell on valves bud, check the intake first. Pull that cap, bet you it's not closed, they don't make ton of compression anyway.
Benny looks like a super star.
Where did you buy the piston kit? Is it one of the ones off ebay?
Oh and IMHO you should do a gas tank flush on every new bike or elso you will suck all the water and gunk from the gas tank into the newly cleaned carb.
The adventures of Vinnie....
Love the pup!
Tips for removing the timing caps without damaging them. Vise grip and a coin
