The part about voice intonations was so interesting and something I’ve never considered before. I’ve noticed that whenever I’m speaking from the middle of my voice (not to high/sweet but also not intense/aggressive) my husband seems so much more receptive to me. I would absolutely be interested in a video that expounds further on this concept. 🎉 Thank you for all the great videos. I always look forward to them 💕

When you started to pretend to talk fast, it was like seeing myself in a mirror for the first time and understanding myself. I never connected this behaviour with my childhood. Good reminder to interact at your own natural pace with others, I've found my pace is slower than most, and a lot of people seem impatient and end up prematurely judging and misinterpreting my intentions and the message that i had started to convey. I've learned that trying to force a conversation further after that point in that moment does not "fix" it. I'm thinking long term now as in maybe future will show my message more clearly, or not. Quick impatient interactions and quick-to-judge people are not a good fit for me and I'm now much more accepting of whatever they decide to think.

Gosh, it’s actually amazing that you felt great about yourself before, and that is probably your baseline! Anyone would be filled with feelings of disgust at having been cheated on, but probably, discussed isn’t yours, and isn’t about yourself, it’s just a general discussed that will take a while to wear off as you leave that whole experience behind. Maybe you could purposely think of cleansing yourself like when you take a shower, or are in the breeze and get sunshine, or anything that might help you feel like you were clearing away those memories. I hope you feel better soon! And back to yourself!

    • @polkadolt
      @polkadolt Год назад +6

@@nakitanash2189 thank you so much for your kind comment. It’s so sad, weird and wrong that the person betrayed feels deep shame and embarrassment when that’s what the person who cheated should feel, along with guilt. I hope one day it happens to them and they spare the person they hurt a thought. Damage is done though. There were red flags, but if you have no evidence, are trusting and they tell you what they want you to hear it’ll take a while to be sure.
I’m just grateful I wasn’t married or with children, that must be horrific. Big hand squeeze to anyone who is going through this right now or suffering the aftermath xxxx

Margarita, you’re a total badass & so so right 😍 I literally have a story that proves your body type & attitude advice. I started out modelling when I was 11 in the age of heroin chic. I was 5’9, 36-22-36, a double D cup size 10 blonde with a “classically timeless beauty face”. Basically all I ever heard was “fabulous face, shame about the body”…now I look back at pics & omg I looked like a blonde Jessica Rabbit 😅 I was under constant pressure to lose weight. Every agency in Sydney wanted to sign me….if I could shave an inch or two off my hips & go down to a small C cup. At 15 a very famous agency told me “you’re face is incredible, but you’re far too busty, but don’t worry, when you drop some more kilos they’ll go down”. At that point I was over exercising & at the start of an ED. When I explained that I’d already lost a fair bit of weight but it didn’t come off my bust, they flippantly replied “Oh well, you’ll need to get a breast reduction, you’ll be laughed at at anything over a B cup in Paris”. I WAS 15 😳 Another major agency said they could get me work (after I’d starved myself to a busty size 8) but that I had too much of a “sexy pinup calendar girl look” for high fashion…& I wasn’t keen on doing sexy lingerie, skimpy bikini/topless stuff for surf mags, men’s mags & catalogues. I was utterly miserable, had bulimiarexia, my hair & skin dried out, I looked gaunt in the face & had taken to living on Diet Coke, water & took up smoking as I’d seen all the girls at castings do (I was too naive to realise there were also amphetamines helping some).
Eventually I started getting depressed & was having panic attacks, & my doctor put me on antidepressants. My mood was way better in a couple of months but despite fighting it, I began gaining weight. At some point I decided I’d rather quit modelling than go back to torturing my naturally curvy body into a shape that was unattainable. It was about 8 months later I saw an ad for a plus size models. I had “ballooned” (in my mind) to a size 12-14. I interviewed at the plus size agency & suddenly my face & body were “perfect” even if I wanted to gain a little more weight. I immediately began being sent to go sees at fashion mags & getting booked, & suddenly I was doing quality fashion, tv, print, catalogue, runway…everything I thought was beyond me!
Now here’s where it’s interesting….at a size 8-10 guys would check me out on the street & in bars, but my dating life sucked. The few guys I dated got bored (because I was always mentally counting calories & was miserable) & ghosted or they treated me like crap, just wanting to hit it & quit it. I hated myself, why should I expect anyone to adore me?
After I blossomed out of depression & into plus size modelling & was basically applauded & rewarded for my size 14 body, I was suddenly fighting guys off with a stick!! 😂 The one’s I did date treated me like a princess (I also got a couple of proposals 😛) & I didn’t even have to TRY to attract guys…I just kept doing what I loved & they found me.
Even when later down the track I went up a couple of sizes, it never lessened male interest.
The only times in my life I’ve attracted toxic men is when I have a depression relapse & am vulnerable & well…GRATEFUL someone wants me. Perfect bait for narcissists 😒
But no matter who you are, what you look like, what size you wear, what you have or haven’t achieved…. As long as you’re authentically YOU, as long as you believe & treat yourself like you value & respect yourself, and that validation comes from inside you & not solely from external influences, there will be people who dig you. Accept yourself and your right to take up space, to speak your mind & to receive ❤️
Sorry for the essay Margarita, I’m just passionate about this topic 😛

Women need also to 'watch' who they are 'attracting'. If they 'attract' a covert naracistic, then they have got themselves into a very very dangerous relationship. The naracist only loves themselves. You need to attract a truly honest caring male who has real empathy and genuinely loves the women he is with. Be cautious in 'selecting' your partner.

@@kianas1616 yes covert naracistic males are simply evil selfish abusers who are totally in love with themselves and their own image. They 'use' their 'friends' to fill their emptiness inside. They are actors on a stage who act to their own script. They mimic emotions of empathy etc etc but everything about them is a total lie. You need to keep your boundaries as high as possible and only have necessary contact and give yes and no answers to everything they say. You can never trust a naracist.

I knew it had something to do with desire and sexuality but I was only scratching the surface. I would really appreciate if you could make an in-depth video on what/ HOW exactly to voice your needs, hurts, and concerns to an avoidant partner. I know you've touched on this a bit already but it would be so helpful to have it super in-depth. Like, what if you've voiced your needs multiple times, and the other person isn't showing up? How do you continue to stay calm and not be angry or volatile or accusatory with them? And what are the exact sentence structures to use (examples are very helpful) to know exactly what to say and how to say it, so as not to trigger them, and rather to inspire them, but still get your needs and meaning across very clearly.

Appreciate your videos, and this one speaks to the larger conversation around commodifying women's sexuality and body type vs. the essence of owning your own sensuality, seductiveness because your type of lover is always around despite the era we are in.

Excellent video. Especially the section about beauty trends - I was thinking on this that if you pin your feelings about your market value on what is currently seen as attractive, at some point in our lives, either now or when it changes again, we're going to believe we're wrong and no longer attractive and feel like we have to change our bodies, which obviously is the point of the trends from a capitalist beauty industry perspective.
Food for thought about our voices too. I stutter sometimes, and more often recently, which I realised is since the end of a 9 year relationship with my child's father. I wonder if it's because I really want to feel heard, when it felt like he didn't hear me, so I'm trying to get it all out. I'm going to slow down
