I went out in nature by a stream and formally “took” step 3. I relied on HP as I struggled through difficult parts of step 4. I actually argued with HP at times. But I found the full step 4 brought understanding, forgiveness, and love. I would not have done that without divine intervention. I repeat this process, the asking for help, and the whole inventory steps whenever needed per step 10. It has changed my life and dissolved years and years of hurt, anger, and resentment.

I thought commercialization of Alcoholics Anonymous and the 12 steps was something that was frowned upon I think I'll stick to taking my sponsors through the steps in total anonymity and without prophet. The only game I want from it is how pure connection with my higher power and my sponsee.

You might want to think about proofreading before you post as well. Just a thought. There are people who can't get the meetings or meet with a sponsor and are able to walk through the steps by listening to this. And our primary purpose stay sober and help the next alcoholic achieve sobriety. So frown all you want but acceptance would look better on you

Not sure what you're trying to say? Are you trying to say people aren't allowed to tell others they are in AA? Or is it that you are implying people are not allowed to share their experience that could potentially help others to stay sober. Would you please clarify the basis of your comment? Anonymity in any 12-step program pertains to breaking the anonymity of others, not self 🤔

God is God. Anything else is blasphemy. AA is a religion program Agnostics are using will power

God is imaginary, superstition, how can you turn your will and power over to something that you know is merely a superstition

There's agnostic, atheist, and free thinkers AA. Idk what they use though as a higher power

I don't think you have to believe an actual God though to begin with. I'm not sure. I've never went fully through

Higher power is just that sense within you that usually knows the right action to take. We become spiritually sick the more we minimise or ignore that intuition in pursuit of short term gratification. The God stuff throws a lot of people off because they wait for a divine intervention, when conscious contact with a higher power is developed through consistent action; acting on the intuition to do the right thing. Acting on this intuition despite scepticism or reservation is the first act of faith in recovery.

A belief in ANYTHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF, a higher power, surely you must have faith that when you look up at the night sky, you see there is something bigger than you out there in the infinite. That’s all you need to believe. Or just use the A.A. program itself as your higher power.
