I used to work in Wilmslow which is the area where a lot of the footballers live...used to see Ronaldo and other footballers often during his time at United - he and Andy Cole were always absolute gentlemen talked to both of the a few times really nice people...so Ronaldo wasn’t arrogant one bit. On the other side of things saw Dwight York a few times and he was the complete opposite, didn’t come across well at all. I think with Ronaldo people mistake the fact that he knows he’s good and says it with him being a horrible arrogant, person, not the case.
@Colloquial Soliloquy If someone has literally been the best (or second best) player in the world for over 10 years in such a cut throat sport, is it arrogance or confidence? He said he would be the best before he actually became the best so obviously he combined hard work, ability and confidence and became who he is. Fair enough if he had Nikolas Bendner's ability and said he's the best you could call it arrogance but with Ronaldo you can tell it is just full confidence in himself
Acappella Covers, one of the biggest misconceptions about Ronaldo is they mistake his passion for the game for arrogance. It is his sheer drive to win that boils over sometimes, but Ronaldo off the field is a whole nother story. I have lost track of the amount of people that Ronaldo's compassionate side has touched. There was a time when a college kid in Florida ran out on the field to meet him and then was arrested. He took time out to personally write to the judge. Pleading with the judge so the kid doesn't lose his financial aid for college. In the end there are people that just don't care enough to learn his story, but those of us in the know appreciate him.
Someone 100%. When this man retires people will appreciate what he did off the field just as much as they appreciate what he did on the field. It’s just sad that they don’t see it now😩

I took my kids for a tour at the ground and went through a door into a reception to ask where we needed to go to get tickets, and he was sat in the waiting area with his mum. That was 17 years ago! My kids are all grown up now. That made my kid's day to see him, and obviously mine too. There have been many great players who have played for Utd. George Best, Sir Bobby Charlton, Bryan Robson, the list goes on, but this man is a genius, be great to see him back at Utd before he calls time on his career.
I feel this interview real shows you ronaldos character. He comes across really well, an emotional, humble man. He’s aware of his quality. But he doesn’t forget his roots. Goat
Looking back at all the moments he's shown love and appreciation to United and Ferguson and watching the City move unfold before my eyes hurts me so much. As my favourite player and a legend of my favourite club it's really painful seeing this happen.
Only when he quits, will a lot of the fanboys see how good he was. A lot of people know him as the goal machine and have never seen him in his period at United. The transition from that into what he is now is incredible. From a mercurial winger to a fantastic goalscorer.
You gotta appreciate that not only did his football get better over the years but so did his English. He is forever trying to improve all aspects of his life. What a rare individual.
And as of today 807 goals, most ever by anyone... My favourite footballer of our generation, still so sharp on the field, quite a few years still left in him for sure
He wanted to cry when he was recalling the time sir Alex let him go and be with with father and family. Those kind of gestures when it feels like life is just shitting on you will make you have love for someone forever ❤
it's actually a really good interview. when I compare it to others I can't help but think if this was on another late show or some other interviewer, he would interject here, or laugh there, ask another question before he's finished, smother insincere praise throughout and ask stupid questions and miss an opportunity. a great interview doesn't have to be hysterical to be entertaining. really well done by Johnathan Ross.
People sometimes forget how these larger than life figures are humans. Very sweet segment. And man does his son look just like Cristiano’s father or am I crazy?!?!?
I've been lucky enough to be at old trafford both times Cristiano has returned the reception he got was incredible. to united fans its like their son coming home i would love for him to come back to united before he retires even if its only for a season. i think all united fans agree with me on that.
He is definetly up there, with Maradona, R9, Messi, Zidane and Pele. Same level, hard to compare and measure who's better, but he proved he is at the same level as the greats

"best coach ive ever had" says it all coming from the best player in the world at the time
he returned to show his loyalty to MAN U
There have been many great players who have played for Utd. George Best, Sir Bobby Charlton, Bryan Robson, the list goes on, but this man is a genius, be great to see him back at Utd before he calls time on his career.
He's back.
I feel this interview real shows you ronaldos character. He comes across really well, an emotional, humble man. He’s aware of his quality. But he doesn’t forget his roots. Goat
Sir Alex is the key 🔑 welcome back CR7 🔴🔴🔴
He may be rich but he has a good heart simple as that
Alex Ferguson is Ronaldo father in football ⚽️
John Wick 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes he did say that
shut the fuck up bitch
Kenza Yezli well played!
@@andyc6542 bruh🤣🤣🤣Why u fghting,the man just took his shot
Ppl saying him being humble, down to earth & everything etc.
But he being himself I liked about him the most
Looking back at all the moments he's shown love and appreciation to United and Ferguson and watching the City move unfold before my eyes hurts me so much. As my favourite player and a legend of my favourite club it's really painful seeing this happen.
Never in doubt friend. He is coming home to the RIGHT side of Manchester 😁
How do you feel now?
Only when he quits, will a lot of the fanboys see how good he was. A lot of people know him as the goal machine and have never seen him in his period at United. The transition from that into what he is now is incredible. From a mercurial winger to a fantastic goalscorer.
You gotta appreciate that not only did his football get better over the years but so did his English. He is forever trying to improve all aspects of his life. What a rare individual.
His father is watching him from
Heaven he is proud of you ❤️💙💙❤️
And as of today 807 goals, most ever by anyone... My favourite footballer of our generation, still so sharp on the field, quite a few years still left in him for sure
Sooo humble and knows what Sir Alex did for him despite him becoming a legend
Hes a gentleman.... he took his son back to his humble roots... i have so much respect for him 💙 your parents should be proud
This guy such a legend. Need to see him live before he retires.. z
2:10 Big respect to Sir Alex Ferguson.
He wanted to cry when he was recalling the time sir Alex let him go and be with with father and family. Those kind of gestures when it feels like life is just shitting on you will make you have love for someone forever ❤
this man is such a genuine person
He is the most beautiful person in the world,my dream is to meet him, but am to old now ,I wish this gentleman well in his football
Cristiano ♥️🐐🙏🏻
it's actually a really good interview. when I compare it to others I can't help but think if this was on another late show or some other interviewer, he would interject here, or laugh there, ask another question before he's finished, smother insincere praise throughout and ask stupid questions and miss an opportunity. a great interview doesn't have to be hysterical to be entertaining. really well done by Johnathan Ross.
I am a die hard barca fan..
But this guy has my respect !!!
your father is proud of you cristiano ❤️
Real recognise real. The huge amount of respect Cristiano and Ferguson have for each other is clear to see
A lovely person humble and pure and see how he is blessed. Owsome
LONG LIVE KING RONNIE
People sometimes forget how these larger than life figures are humans. Very sweet segment. And man does his son look just like Cristiano’s father or am I crazy?!?!?
POV: you're back here after learning Fergie rang Ronaldo to convince him to return to Man United
❤️❤️
Viva Ronaldo... He's coming home
thats an unbelievable memory, felling yours fathers proud
I think we should all be grateful for our fathers who are still with us alive and they deserve a really big hug.
WELCOME RONALDO TO MAN UTD!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
He’s a wonderful person, with a big heart. He has no tattoos, because he gives blood, believes in helping others. Great guy👍
Finally back home👍👍👍
His father would be the Proudest Man in the Heaven
I've been lucky enough to be at old trafford both times Cristiano has returned the reception he got was incredible. to united fans its like their son coming home i would love for him to come back to united before he retires even if its only for a season. i think all united fans agree with me on that.
Can you imagine the reception he’s going to get this weekend? You called it!
Living legend .
Am I the only that cried when he talked about his dad
GOAT.
Nah
He is definetly up there, with Maradona, R9, Messi, Zidane and Pele. Same level, hard to compare and measure who's better, but he proved he is at the same level as the greats
@@heavyrules6699 No, Zidane is below all the players you mentioned
@@OfficialTeixeiraPlays how so? he did great in world cups and with Real Madrid, he was a play maker not a Goal Scorer but he scored goals that decided the most important finals (WC, CL)
Messi - "hold my ballon d'OR s"
The greatest footballer ever, and his earliest proudest fan since 2003
People who had it easy in life will understand why we love this guy so much. His principles can mould any part of one's life if you learn about them.
And now he is back home❤❤
Love him or hate him you can’t deny he’s one if not the best player ever to kick a football
Seriously, could think of 5 better players of the top of my head, and I'm Portuguese.
@@rbsk999 do it then
@@afokeobukofe7726 Pele, Zidane, Maradona, Messi, di Stefano, Brazilian Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and I could go on. Honestly Ronaldo is great but calling him the best player of all time is ridiculous.
Ben Silva there all legends but Ronaldo’s better.
C Smith I agree with you to a certain extent. I’d say Messi and Ronaldo are the 2 greatest of all times. I could never and will never choose between them.
Guess who's back? Back again
A true gentleman and sportsman. Genuine, down to earth and humble.
