I teach ESL to adults, and I wish I could say how much I appreciate these! I like to teach situational English, and these are perfect for level 1. We used the shopping for clothes last week. That's how I discovered this channel. I've subscribed! Fantastic for zoom classes as well.
Hi Celina, I appreciate your kind words. I'm not sure if you know that many of the videos have lessons on my student website here: janis-esl.issbc.org/iss-of-bc-students/ (No login or fee or ads for the lessons. Unfortunately, I can't stop RUclips from adding ads to the videos.)
I hope after watching this video my little students of 8yo will understand perfectly the meaning of phrase " here you are" . 🎈Extremely polite talk, thanks a lot
This is an excellent source since you don´t include subtitles (script) so people can really practice (if the video includes the subtitles people tend to read, as a result, they don´t really listen to it, it makes no sense). Thanks.
In Canada we use both systems (metric and imperial). Some people use pounds, some people use kilograms but most people use both. We use the metric system for temperatures (Celsius) and driving (kilometres). What about you?
Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad these videos are helpful. We don't have plans to make more videos right now, but here's a good RUclips channel with some very good content: ruclips.net/channel/UCWjV1ynd_zqWlXZA5dfJ4Wgplaylists Good luck!
I hope no English teachers would show this to a class of kids!! This video is meant for adult new immigrants who need a slower paced introduction to the language. Having said that, I recognize that we are by no means professional actors. LOL.

We want our students to listen first without reading. If you click on the 'interactive lesson' linked under the video, there is a version of the video with each sentence written out and repeated. Hope that helps!
Sorry, I don't have the transcript. If you click on the link under the video, you can try the interactive lesson. About halfway through the lesson you can see a video that stops after each line and shows the sentence. Hope that helps!

The best video for ... older young learners I've found so far. I used it in class and it was a success. Thank you! :-)
Glad it was helpful for you and your students! We made these videos for adult new immigrants but we're happy if others find them useful as well.

Are they doing their business or flirting?
I thought it, too lol. The way the man looks at her.

Hallou! 😃 Nice video, ya question 😸 do you use kilograms and pounds for most of things?

he said cheese .... I did not get the word after cheese in the first of the video! May you help me.
Sorry, I just saw your comment now!
He says, "Cheese? Certainly. How much cheese would you like?"
Certainly means the same as "Of course" or "Sure"
You notice how every time she buys something it "mysteriously" disappears and somehow the guy doesn't notice?
She could have used a cart instead of a basket.
Porque no hay subtítulos?!!!!!!!!!???? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Kindly make the longest videos related with this type of topics, I have really been liking this.
THANKS.
