I’ve been doing this intuitively off and on for the last few years. It’s nice to have validation and I’ll practice more. Thanks for a beautiful video on the subject!
Glad it’s helpful 😎🙏
❤❤
I'd love to talk to you about restrictions or adoptions that might be needed for someone with hypermobility. I think this population could greatly benefit from this type of movement.
Sounds good. Let’s talk. Easiest way is to email us at aloha@movementmonk.xyz or chat on Instagram: instagram.com/movement_monk?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA%3D%3D&
Nice to see centennial park in the back ground too - love it
After I started trauma releasing medication, I intuitively started doing number one and two. I have to study this more.
Did you mean to say meditation? If so, yes this can happen as held self protective / tension patterns are let go of.
@@MovementMonk No, I really meant medication. I have used some binaurals but never studied meditation more, maybe I should.
I was so trapped with the trauma and dissociation that I cannot work. My doctor described me naltrexone which helps mind to come out of the dissociation and I started this kind of body functions intuitively the second day. I was so against the medication for a long time, but it really opened a door to my healing, the door I had locked up.
@@kirsikka3752 ah thanks for clarifying. Glad to hear that this helped to open the door for you. Yeah, it can be challenging to come back when you’re experiencing dissociation and to know that your body is a safe place to return to. We’re right beside you if you’d like any further support with feeling more safe in your body / mind experience 🙏
That first movement is in the muslim prayer, we do it 5 times a day
Muslims have most of these movements in their prayers 5 times every day ..
That's awesome
That’s so interesting 😮
Hey, I noticed that in the beginning (around beginning) of video you said that the first move is to help expand the edges of where you feel safe in your body to physically move. I appreciate this video a lot, and will try them out (2nd I noticed I kinda already do but now I will do it more intentionally), especially as I often don’t feel safe in my body, dissociate, as well as just being in head or foggy, and numb and hurt myself a little with binge/emotional eating and nail stabbing/clawing and scraping skin. And yeah, I am normally not used to feeling safe and present in my body And afraid to expand, or in other words, feel like I Must keep myself “smaller”, and not take up or use too much space or move my body.
Anyways, this goes the same with my voice, and it often closes from anxiety and Panic, making itself “smaller”, afraid to take up space and feel safe/secure and comfortable with that….
……is there any exercises you recommend/suggest to also expand my feeling of safety with my voice?
Thanks for reaching out. Sounding can be useful to help you with your voice. So as you move in different positions, hum. Start quietly and gradually increase volume. The vibrations help to relax the nervous system and the throat and can support your self expression. Thank you so much ☺️🙏I will definitely do! :) 😌😊
Thank you
Pray 5 times a day (with specific movements)
Pray with Taqwa (God consciousness)
And pure intention to seek Allah Love
Where did you learn these movements from? And what is the scientific research studies for these movements? Or are these your personal theories added with the Somatic Tracking Pain Reprocessing research ? They look similar to Traditional Oriental Movements found in Chi Kung Nei Gong Practices of ancient china and tibet
Thanks for your question… I’ve spent the last 20 years practicing different forms of movement from Shaolin Qigong, Taoist arts, Tai Chi, Somatic modalities (feldenkrais, Alexander technique), and also some of what you’ve mentioned… my research has been based on years of experience, studying with different teachers, rooted in physiological principles. Hope that may provide some background info for some of the movements I’ve shared 🙏
@@MovementMonk so basically the goal is to calm the vagal system I believe?
@@mystictouch9 yes, activating the parasympathetic nervous system is one of the goals 👍🏽
