MORE APPRENTICE PLEASE! I am in my 2nd year and my painter has been relentless about getting me in the booth. The experience has definitely helped me get my technique down and confidence is getting higher. Just did my first full car 93 civic painted Y56 Phoenix yellow with PPG envirobase.
Paint is a funny thing, I wouldn't even try to spray base from that distance but you learn something new everyday and products are always changing. Job well done.

I just started as a prepper been doing it for 4 months but my goal is to become a head painter one day I’m 24 I think I still have time, this channel inspires me to keep going and that we all make mistakes we learn from them, I really hope I do make it because I really do like the job tbh! Hey gunman im a painter from the U.S. I just want to say i love watching your videos.
The way his painting seems to me his no apprentice, he looks the goods. Moves smooth. The kid needs a few beers after this job.
Still learning. Do u do a basic technical info session on sandpaper prep work , for primers etc. keep the good work up. Love this show.
Alan has great chance to work with you. I am out of my depth to a degree I've never before experienced because of your videos.
That's the way to learn, grab the gun and smash it. Not Gunna learn just watching. Get in there and give it a go.

Awesome work Alan, you have come on a long way since I last saw you on a video, having the Gunman as a teacher must be heaven. If I sprayed base from that distance I would have to open my door to make enough room in my little booth! 😁

I know it’s a lot of work for the vids, but it would be cool to see some bigger jobs that are done in your shop. I love all the vids and have picked up so many tips for diy painting.

i work with cromax pro.
and in black cars I always use black primer.
and this is how cromaxpro recommends it.
I think you should use black primer 😉

With water base you have to work clean at all times .
That clear looks great! Is he spraying the second coat right after the first with no flash time? What settings would you recommend for spraying a high solids euro clear with a Tekna Pro Lite TE20 and 1.3 tip?
Its called a tack and whack or RIP n grip. Full fan, full fluid, 2 bar pressure or 29psi. "Settings for Greatness " ! Per the Gunman. It works for sure.
Hay dude yea there was bit of flash off. But we use fast hardener and all clear do differ. Best settings are full fan full fluid. All about getting technique down. Iff ppg evro clear is similar then i would got with those settings. Standox spray some much nicer to me of course.

hey Gunny..i need your suggestion..which is better for base coat spray gun..LHP80 or LHP400..and which is good 1.3 or 1.4 size od N.tips.?
Say you know you need 4litres (1gallon) of paint in total can you mix all of it up and leave it in the can and only put what you need into the gun at a time??

Where does this guy work in perth looking for a new painter
he shouldnt need his hand held doing jobs like this as neally a 3rd year.....but that comes down to the tradesman wanting to teach him asap, train the young lads asap as the trade is dying and there is hardly any decent trademen these days everywhere
Doing the job well but does look clumsy moving around. Should improve with experience.
