  • Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your HP Elitebook 850 G5 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    Have fun and good luck!!

I came here after looking at another website which just showed images and was amazed at how you got the cover off.
I first skipped the part in your video where you removed the screws because the website i came from showed an image with circles around the screws so i had removed those already but still the cover would not release. This is because that website did not circle those 2 hidden screws.
I had decided then to watch yours from the very beginning and see that i missed the 2 screws in the round black holes, those 2 are disguised there.
I forced my cover off and see that i broke the plastics in these locations where the black holes were but fortunately was able to super glue it back in place.
Thank you very much for this video!

I hate these hidden screws. Specially because this rubber strip brake all the time too.

Hi, is it full metal? and are all the screws are milled into the frame? Did you ever have a broken hinge problem? I am looking for a laptop with good hinges, is it that? My ThinkPad has stripped brass threads, and it's the most common issue with laptops nowadays.

Quick view of the video and I can tell there is definitely no hdd space in it.
