THE BEST THING TO TELL NEW BOAT DIVERS AND NEWER DIVERS IS: “RESPECT THE REEF” and “OTHER DIVERS AROUND YOU” To often, I see new divers to close to the reef with no concept of buoyancy control. Destroying years and years of corral growth. I was on a boat dive last week with only 6 divers and I had two of them run into me, numerous times. Cmon - the ocean is massive. Give space and if you’re a newer diver, don’t get near or on the reef until you can control your buoyancy. Your fins will destroy. If somebody seems something interesting, take turns looking. Don’t everyone crowd in to see it, at the same time. RESPECT
Waiting for instructions from the crew to board and exit the boat was a good tip by Lyell. Also handing my gear to the crew is helpful. I had to learn to be patient with these procedures when I was a new diver.
Thanks! We never want to discourage the enthusiasm of divers who want to "get going", but giving the crew time to prepare and be ready for you to get on and off is critical! Thanks for watching!
Hookah is only effective if captain Corey turns it on!😜 Happy new year everyone! Great video thank you. SCUBA is a great company to dive with. Captain Corey rocks he certified me all the way through rescue course.
With ten divers hanging on a tag line in choppy water, your face will eventually end up between somebody else's legs, or vice-versa. Don't get upset, nobody is thinking of anything except getting out of the water. Oh, and when you rack your tank and unbuckle don't forget to take out your regulator before you stand up.
