I throw out a 50m nylon line with a divers floats at the end and one in the middle. This does two things, shows other boaters what 50 meters is to stay clear and works as a safety line if current takes us past the boat on the ascend. We check the anchor is secure on hitting the bottom before moving away. In rougher conditions we will some times run a 45 - 90m reel line to the anchor chain so we know the boat hasn't broken free and can find our way back easily.
we dive from a small rib , 5m with a honda 40 , works well for myself and my daughter , all tech gear couple of stages , shot line .. quick enough to get out to dives and bk , but good economy .. :)
Great video! Have you got a recommendation where to find information about laws that regulate diving from private boats like croatia? Google just brings up lots of different information...
Both these boats are too small. For diving you need a bit more space on deck. Most yes a rib or zoadic for day running. If you are going for longer you need at least a 6 berth with some open deck space. Preferably with garden wall or stern dock. Hope it helps if you need more ask. Former Royal Navy marine engineer adqual mine clearance diver. And yes I like Germany spent a lot of time near Emden.

Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge and time. It's all very much appreciated. Best of luck with your future dives - The GREEK 🤗
Always great advise. Used a lot of your videos on sidemount setup a few years ago.
Super nice video, as allways. But the Link is missing.

Where is the shot line link you are talking about?
Do you use your Lowrance HDS-9 Gen3 with a "TotalScan" or a "StructureScan 3d" Transducer?
That's not Amsterdam. That's Vinkeveen😁. Hope you had some good dives there.
Alleen snappen de meeste mensen niet waar Vinkeveen is...Amsterdam klinkt iets herkenbaarder...
