    I have used an alkanet oil infusion and indigo powder, coupled with activated charcoal to create the colours in this soap.
    If you would like to find out more about oil infusions for cold process soap I go over them in more detail in this video

    Its the same with the alkanet root as with beetroot or red cabbage, the intensity of the colour depends on the pH-value. In an alkalic surrounding it changes to a blueish purple, in neutral or sour surrounding it is red. It would be intressting whether it stayes blueish or goes back to redish colour when the high alkalinity fades away after some time. However, beautiful Soap!

    Just lovely I would like to know when you're doing a loaf of soap after two days as it cures when do you cut the soap. Or
    do you wait and cut it just before the 6 weeks are up or do you cut it maybe a week after you let it set

    • @IDreamInSoap
      @IDreamInSoap  3 года назад

      It will depend on your recipe but you would typically cut the soap anything from a day to a few days later and cure it once cut into bars

      Ooh it will last years if you are just storing it, if you mean as you use it, well, it just like normal soap and will last well, it's best to keep it dry between uses, so make sure you use a soap dish that drains the water away from the soap
