I think the interesting part to me is the target you get as the Sniper here. I definitely think there's something strange going on with this, and snipers being a big theme, and the seemingly likely political stuff going on, I suspect there are MULTIPLE snipers. The one you play as has suspicions about this Jeff character, as one example. The Werewolf is called "Gerald" by the Vampire. Yet he's called "Richard Sanchez" by the detective. The detective COULD'VE been speaking sarcasm, but I feel like that's not the case there. Like maybe that was an ID on him, which still wasn't real. Though it could also be a case where the sniper you play as is actually unhinged, but I still feel like there's something OFF about this whole thing. There just seems to be multiple snipers given how many were at the street and how after seeming to escape them there was ANOTHER on the train.
Couple things to ADD to this theory. The sniper you play as explicitly has instructions that no other Casualties would be allowed, so the sniper you play as at least SHOULDN'T have been the one to kill Gail. On top of that... Well, the double meaning in "Sniper Killer" would be fulfilled. Killers who are Snipers, and a Sniper who kills Snipers.
@@waferdaze8017 14:27 - I believe "no more casualties will be allowed" is referring to the "casualties" caused by this person in werewolf costume, since the person on the walkie-talkie directly accused the werewolf that he's a wolf in a sheep's clothing, "much like the spy you had to intercept last week, they're responsible for the deaths of many innocents. Avenge innocents and protect our national security. We will allow no other casualties"... Well, I suppose it could mean both ways, as in both "we won't let the werewolf create more deaths, but we also won't hurt the innocent". I think there's most likely two possibilities where this plot is going: 1. The victims are (mostly) innocent, and whoever is issuing the kill is doing it for fun (or possibly to remove people troublesome to the "HQ"), and it's possible that the sniper will find out and confront whoever is issuing these orders eventually (assuming the sniper is killing people based on moral grounds); 2. The victims _aren't_ innocent, and they actually did something wrong/shady. I missed it because I wasn't paying too much attention, but the werewolf being referred to with different names was a good catch. Killing people for asking questions (Gail and Clyde) wouldn't be a good guy thing to do, even if they're vigilantes, so I wouldn't think that they're actually killing people who are actually guilty of something... but then again, it's still possible that Gail and Clyde aren't innocent too. 19:08 - Gail never revealed her last name, and yet 21:44 - the person on the phone referred Gail by her last name "Ms. Jenkins". So it's possible that they already knew who Gail was even before she approached, hence maybe the "HQ" knows something about her that we don't. But yeah, I think the plot can go either way.
I like those theories a bit as well, depending on themes the game could go for, just a thought occurred to me as I thought a little more on this. Like how Dutch chose to differentiate the case Pamela had and the case with the Werewolf. That being the range. How good a shot the sniper is. Of course area is something to consider, but I think the exclusion of that detail is kind of interesting. He simply says that the caliber of bullet, while probably the same, is common in rifles. But how common are Rifles locally? It seems like there could be a lot of Snipers or otherwise suspiciously talented people here. I think that's what makes this whole perspective thing work so well, while there are theories, there's still the possibility that the sniper we play as in this demo could be the target of another sniper we'd play as in the full game. It's a game about perspectives after all, and we never get to see if the snipers we cross are the same or different, let alone what our sniper looks like. I could probably work in something more metaphorical about their anxiety of mirrors or the strange hole in their wall, but I do think those need to come full circle to really get anywhere beyond "it probably means SOMETHING."
@@NobodySpecial2481 I suppose it could have been a reference, and that detective could have been sarcastic, instead of that being the name found on the werewolf's ID or something like that.
My current theory for this game: Either this is is some kind of shadowy assassin organization or whoever is behind that voice is manipulating a mentally unwell man into doing his dirty work
With how these murders are committed in the game. From the snipers point of view, (of course this is the demo). They're told that no civilian casualties will be accepted. In gails and pamelas case. This was possibly an exception due to their locations. Hans was going to be in the way of Pamela once he saw the rifle and Clyde had the van keys (and the fact he was theorizing who the killer was), That was possibly a two way walkie so they could probably hear clyde. Gerald (or Richard) was a no civilian casualties due to the fact it was in a carnival. This could possibly be due to the fact of how many people are there and they would possibly ID the shooter. So a one shot one kill was in order. But looking at some of these comments. Yeah I'm getting some hotline miami vibes from this.
Hans was not shot. Clyde would have been a massive liability if only Gail was killed since he would have been a witness to how she was trapped. though hitting him first because of the keys makes sense.
@@phantom-ri2tg Never said he was shot. I just mentioned him since he was a civilian casualty that was overlooked in a sense. If you think about where Pamela was. I just theorized Clyde possibly cause of the two was due to the walkie that was on the floor nearby and Clyde running his mouth. @@sonicdml4175 Well this is the demo after all. So we couldn't see the snipers POV. But with how much Hanz was beaten. I doubt the perv would've made it out of there alive. Especially with the second murder specifically telling them no more civilian casualties would be accepted.
The idea of the demo is pretty cool. The only thing about the victims in the demo is that we have no idea who they are. Hope there's enough storytelling to invest us in the characters that do make it into the final product.
My guess is that the killer just hears voices or has a split personality telling him what to do. Thats why the "further information when you arrive" is needed since he can't guess that there is a werewolf man in the location. Also memory loss is a dead giveaway and why he doesnt want to see himself in the mirror.
The cap is from "Night at the Gates of Hell" where he also pretended to be a captain and the detective mentioned having just finished the womb ripper case. So it looks like it takes place before NatGoH, which means this universe is doomed to a violent evil end. 😮
Snipin's a good job mate! It's challenging work out of doors i garantee you'll not go hungry! Cause at the end of the day, long as there's two people left on the planet, someone is gonna want someone dead.
[Scene cuts to view inside the Sniper's scope. The Sniper headshots the Heavy from the previous scene; the bullet shatters the Bottle of the Demoman behind him, causing the top half of the Bottle to embed itself in his remaining eye. The Demoman flails around, takes out his Grenade Launcher, fires three grenades wildly in the air and falls over a ledge, with his stray grenades igniting a cluster of explosive barrels below and causing a chain explosion.]
Another solid demo. I'm fairly confident that Manly is right both about the detective being the killer, explaining how things worked out smoothly, but also that the sniper is having a Hotline Miami moment so to speak, with "the assignments" all in his head. Looking forward to the full game.
Damn I forgot this was a demo during the subway section, and got pretty hooked into the story. Looking forward to the full release of this game and your play-through of it!

I can't tell you how much I enjoy the comedy; hearing the smirk in your voice "YEA, I WENT THERE!'...it lights up my day XD Thanks for being you, Manly
20:00 They should've also studied the markings on the bullet. Since the sniper used the same gun in the both murders, the bullets from the bodies should have the same marking on it. Thus matching the two murders together.
Got a few theories on this: A. The person who killed Pamela, Hans, Gail, and Cameraman is a different person than the one who killed the werewolf, I believe one is acting as a "man of justice" while the other who is likely the boss as they have the same voice is cleaning up everything left behind, on top of that the boss seems to be killing mostly at close range excluding the camera man kill and initial Gail kill attempt. B. It's not actually the pentagon and the victims of the "man of justice" aren't actually bad people, although they still could be bad people it's more likely they were just people who got in the way of their plans, the werewolf guy was described as being someone who "wouldn't hurt a fly" yet the boss said that "they were responsible for the death of many innocents," although this could have been just a facade to keep the trail off of the werewolf guy it seems kinda random for a game unless it was something like this. Also back on it not actually being the pentagon; this seems like a pretty bad job for a group of such caliber, the justice man is living in a pretty run down home that seems to have been provided by the boss as well as many other locations, I doubt a proper expert would be the happiest about the accommodations so hes likely a second or third rate sniper. Also here are some afterthoughts: A. I wonder why Hans was killed by the boss, wouldn't that be more of a job for the justice man as Hans was actually someone who killed innocents (excluding the grade school bully, that guy was probably one of his victims but he totally deserved it). Maybe because Hans has delved into some "dark arts" or smth to make his monster and the Boss doesn't want him to know about that kind of stuff? Or maybe it was because Hans was trying to turn himself around so it may have been tough to get the justice man to kill him; although he doesn't seem to be getting much if any info on his targets other than what the boss tells him just before as he likely didn't know about him being "someone who wouldn't hurt a fly." B. I hope if the game is ever continued the last victim we'll be killing will be Pamela mostly as I just think that would be a pretty cool ending, unlikely though because as I said her killer and the werewolf killer are likely different, although it could also end with us killing the boss before he can kill Pamela after we find out about the groups wrongdoings or smth. C. Curious if any of the missing posters have any meaning or if they are just red herrings. Edit: I just remembered Gail talked about Pamillas death but it could still end with justice man killing the boss. Also I feel like most other peoples theories in the comments are probs more likely then mine assuming they don't just out right disprove mine..
Looking forward to the full game honestly the mystery shared by this demo already has me really intrigued. Although granted the twist and reveals could make or break this game. Honestly wish it wouldnt be as glaringly obvious as Bloodwash tho. Also yeah! I just realized the killer gave me some Jacket vibes too
Omg! Why is nobody talking about the line where the cop mentions the womb ripper!! I got really excited when I heard him mention that! I forgot the name of the game exactly I think it’s something like “blood wash” but it’s an really enjoyable game!
I think the ending was a nightmare sequence. Gail falls asleep after becoming exhausted on the train, and dreams that she was found by the killer. It's a common enough trope in movies, but I could be wrong.

Nothing idicates that Hans died, he could have been knocked out.
It means it takes place before Blood Wash.
@rachelsheppard9122 I don't know how you come to that conclusion. Blood Wash was womb ripper, so the case he finished.
@@koquarian Then I'm assuming this is after Blood Wash and Sarah managed to get the story out.
@@rachelsheppard9122 it is after the event of blood wash detective dutch said it
Snipin's a good job mate!

@@TheEngineerThatsEngiHere you know my original idea WAS to post the entire transcript!
no I just know the transcript by heart
I wanna see a puppet combo game where Scout's the killer now.
Another solid demo. I'm fairly confident that Manly is right both about the detective being the killer, explaining how things worked out smoothly, but also that the sniper is having a Hotline Miami moment so to speak, with "the assignments" all in his head. Looking forward to the full game.
lol
The phone calls in hotline miami 1 are real though
25:06 I love how he instantly knew that clyde was gonna be shot at that moment
"GET DOWN"
25:07 Impressive reaction time there, Manly!
I don’t see the sniper, I STILL don’t see the sniper lmao
@@alias-yv2ro The open window.

The "Awoo?" For the werewolf made me laugh harder than it shouldve
Hans is kinda frightening when he tells about himself getting away with criminal charges. Or I think it’s just the figments of my imagination.
Lose some weight
Damn I forgot this was a demo during the subway section, and got pretty hooked into the story. Looking forward to the full release of this game and your play-through of it!
_"You want me to role play being a daki?"_
Lol best commentary! I really liked this game, the weird humor and story. The Frankenstein to Fotostein was already hilarious, but him having her go in to put a pillow under her blouse cracked me up. I can't wait to see full game and definitely hope you play MBH!
I can't tell you how much I enjoy the comedy; hearing the smirk in your voice "YEA, I WENT THERE!'...it lights up my day XD Thanks for being you, Manly
“Oh god he’s following me”
Manly: “Is he?”
*Goes back towards the murderous psychopath with a gun to check*
20:00
They should've also studied the markings on the bullet. Since the sniper used the same gun in the both murders, the bullets from the bodies should have the same marking on it. Thus matching the two murders together.
even from the same make and model?

I like how you said "Really?" As the coin bounced off. Something I don't think I've ever seen before like... ever in one of these.

"The garbage can - where I keep my soul" - one of the most relatable lines of all time
Got a few theories on this:
Also here are some afterthoughts:
A. Or maybe it was because Hans was trying to turn himself around so it may have been tough to get the justice man to kill him; although he doesn't seem to be getting much if any info on his targets other than what the boss tells him just before as he likely didn't know about him being "someone who wouldn't hurt a fly."
I threw this comment together quickly so sorry for the text wall lol.
I love how quickly he replied to “I want my mummy!” with “Ghosts don’t have mummies”
Looking forward to the full game honestly the mystery shared by this demo already has me really intrigued.
Although granted the twist and reveals could make or break this game.
Honestly wish it wouldnt be as glaringly obvious as Bloodwash tho.
Also yeah! I just realized the killer gave me some Jacket vibes too
Also I am not surprised that Manly is Team Edward
The voice acting is surprisingly decent in this
the vampire guy really stood out
Decent? More like a level up
Why is that surprising?
Seems interesting to watch right as i’m about to sleep, thanks manly!
This Hans guy is definitely different compared to other puppet combo characters
oddly found myself rooting for the villain here. Gail's voice actor nailed the snobby journalist voice
love puppet combo taking a hard left turn while still maintaining their iconic psx style
"Hey Buddy👋, You suck😃"that got me laughing😂
6:40 “this is gonna be my last shoot” had me dying 😭
In hindsight, she should have consulted with the police. They never said to be there with no poloce.
19:54 same caliber of gun.. insert the "do you have any idea how little that nerrows it doewn!" Meme maybe some gun. And dag this looks like a good game
Open Question: What horror games would y'all want some non-horror versions of?
the closing shift by chillas art, sometimes I just wanna simulate being a bartender

Great. Now i have a fear of elevators secretly being a cage to trap me in. Thanks a lot manly.

A lot of energy from Manly this video. I love to see it! 😁👍
The speed he said ghost dont have mummies and then left immediately 💀
This is actually quite good, it's not as scary/unsettling as sone of Puppey Combo's previous games but it's definitely very interesting and I want to see more of the story when it comes out. They seem to be getting more elaborate with the stories they want to tell. I love that they always keep things original.
That small gasp at 25:06, where Manly realized what was about to happen like it was a movie was AMAZING. It took him 3 seconds to realize it was a trap, and I respect the heck out of that intuition.
Everyone, say thanks to Manly for the good content
No strong father figure for you OP

The game is amazing
I'm really happy that it's made in low poly rather than extremely realistic graphics. It adds up to the atmosphere and feeling of the game all together. Watched at one gasp. Huge shout out to the creators, can't wait for the full game
Your reaction time to the sniper trap was insanely fast that the quality of the video haven't even processed it

Hey Manly!! Could you play Rusty Lake? I don't know much about it, but it seems interesting and I'd like to see a playthrough, but it's best watching you play horror games soo I'd like to see you play it B))) Love your videos ! :D
The voice acting in this game is so zany and fun! It sounds professionally done.

“Oh God, he’s following me! *turns back* is he? HE IS! *hauls ass*”
It looked really similar to blood wash. Its cool that its like a murderer universe idea.
The savageness of, "Ghosts don't _have_ mommies," caught me off-guard.
Given the gothic horror theme my guess is that the sniper has a jekyll and hyde situation going on.

Someone should draw Manly as a vampire now.
I like the concept. Most horror games either explore the villainous behavior of the killer or the struggle of the victims. Hardly ever seen one that explores both.

This isn’t really horror, and I don’t mind. It kind of feels like an awkward comedy to me, for some reason. I like it, sort of a satirical adventure/murder mystery thing.
Thanks for walking around exploring as you progress
I hope Puppet Combo or Chilla's Art will ask you to be a voice actor in one of their games, you have a pleasant voice to listen to.
