    I'd be checking underneath for rust. If OK get it wax oiled. Change DSG oil and filter, change Haldex oil and filter. And, even if it has had a recent service, change the oil for a VW 504/507 spec fully synthetic.

      All great points there. I need to update my video on this as there are a load of factors that need to be considered that are specific to V6s now that I have only been made aware of since, on top of the general car and also Audi TT in general stuff. Thanks for your input buddy!

    Edit: Just finished watching the video and I'm glad you bought this one. Looks to be in great condition and the colour is great. I think it makes more sense for the channel to have two different models and not two of the same, with just a different colour, though the green soft top also looks great. Looking forwards to see more videos on these cars.

      @@andycharger I'm going to follow with interest. I'm in the process of acquiring a TT MK1. (Early next year some time) I have my heart set on a 225 Coupe, but a nice 3.2 popped up for sale, so I'm a bit torn. The 225 is a 2000 model and has has 180 000km on it for around 5700 pounds, while the 3.2 is a 2004 model with 125 400km for about 13 000 pounds. Both are from dealers and in good condition. I'm leaning towards the 225, as it is cheaper and is a manual, but the 3.2 is tempting.

    Great video looking forward to future episodes also great to see someone doing work on the 3.2v6 normally all information on tts are the 225 even manuals on the 3.2 are as rare as hens teeth things to check I would say is dsg gearbox as the mechatronics can go on these and the timing chain 👍

    Looks lovely Andy, bet you're well happy. I love my 3.2 over my old 225. As others have said, get the chains read in VCDS and see how they look (1k bill to sort that). If not done recently do the gearbox oil and filter too. I thought you'd always wanted the roadster, didn't realise you were settling - I love my roadster, nothing better than dropping that roof when the weather is just right.

    • @andycharger
      @andycharger  3 года назад +1

      Thanks Ben! I always wanted a coupe. I think they look amazing. Im keeping both so I get the best of both worlds. Just been out in the 225 and it does feel remarkably slower I have to say. Might just be the turbo lag! Thanks for advice on chains and oil. Looks like a common theme. Im going to get chains read Sunday.
