Fans of Home Free are called home fries!! They are hands down my favorite a cappella group!! You should listen to their version of How Great Thou Art. It’s phenomenal!!
HF is known for their intricate arrangements and harmonies. It is interesting that you said this may be the best version of this song you ever heard, because they do a version of How Great Thou Art that I have ever heard, and the visuals were just as stunning because it was filmed in the Austrian Alps. For me, they have the richest harmonies of any band on the planet and their secret is their exquisite arrangements they do with each song they do. The just dropped Mary Did You Know, and probably their best Christmas song video is Do You Hear What I Hear, which was arranged by their world class vocal percussionist, Adam Rupp.
I totally agree...they have the richest most luscious harmonies I have heard. Adam Rupp is such a star with his arrangements, and his beatboxing is incomparable. His brother, the powerhouse tenor is amazing and Tim Foust's range and depth of tone is unparalleled. I felt like on this one there was too much nasally tone, and I know he can sing without it because I've heard him do so. I adore their "Mary did you Know"!

I fully agree with suggestions for “ Do You Hear What I Hear “…never much cared for the song until their interpretation. May I add…”Angels We Have Heard On High “, a sophisticated and beautiful arrangement…. And Home Free in 2013 at the Hosanna concert doing their version of “ Joy to the World”, a jazzy, gospel arrangement with an off the charts solo by Rob(heavy beard). After Christmas, I suggest “End of the Road”, “Helplessly Hoping”, “I Can’t Outrun You “, and for fun, “Butts Medley “
I’m a Home Fry. I’m a Home Fry because after listening to nearly every song they have, I have never heard better…. Not even close, and I don’t believe I ever will. They always make me happy, always, and you can’t ask for more than that.🤗🐝❤️
I didn't care for the country genre either, but I Love Home Free, If you like this you should also look at a Christmas song that I love from them and it was arranged by their beatboxer Adam called "Do You Hear What I Hear", also check out their "Winter Song", and for a fun one, their original "Cold Hard Cash" (which is a Christmas song also) I pretty much like everything these guys have done, their harmonies are on point and any of them can sing a good lead.
Yes you need to check out DYHWIH. The beginning with the drop beat ads a haunting quality to the song. It is a totally different take on a classic. Hauntingly beautiful.
My bestie from Home Free is Brothers in Arms. Also like Cold Hard Cash. Even tho im in Australia I consider myself a Home Fries. Have quite a collection, must drive the neighbours crazy.

Yup. Welcome to the Home Fries. Many of us are fans of Pentatonix (Pentaholics), Home Free and VoicePlay. Enjoy the bounty that is their musical gift to us.
Home Free is hands down my favorite a cappella group! PTX is on a major record label so they get blocked a lot. Home Free has been independent for a while now and are very supportive to reactors. Please do their version of Mary did you Know, it was released recently! Thanks so much! 🤗❤️

These guys are awesome. Their new lineup is even better. Austin and Tim have such powerful ranges but it's the arrangements, the harmonies, the vocal excellence that gets me. Huge Statler Brothers fan but these guys are on a different level.
I have been a PT fan, and still enjoy the a cappella sound. When I ran across HF by sheer accident, fell into their performances for the “Sing Off” I developed a new love for a vocal band. Their Christmas music such as o holy night, is so much more than vocal excellence it has an emotional tone that just soothes my heart and mind.

He walked over & said, "What's wrong?" I exclaimed that Home Free was playing at the county fair & that we had to get going. We saw them 3 times in 3 months. They were playing that close to us! It would've been 4, but 1 of their workers got a break through case of covid & the concert had to be rescheduled. We just really enjoy their music & love going to concerts. Now that live music is back, we are hitting the circuit; cautiously. 😷 We will drive to the next state if it's a concert that we want to see. We live in IL & hv been to WI, IN, IA & MO.
