The 8spd auto is trash though, i had a 17 ss and i had it back at the dealer twice for tranny recalls and the damn car would shudder at about 50mph. Only time the transmission was responsive was when you had your foot on the floor

Being a Subaru WRX owner and having driven a Camaro SS, it is a different feel entirely. Granted, they're two different manufacturers but it's just amazing how much more enjoyable the Camaro is. The clutch is lighter and shorter, gearbox is closer together and it's a little easier to drive in the city. I don't like the Active Rev Match personally because I like to control how much gas I give when I down shift but it's all personal preference. Great video guys.

I believe that you can get similar multi-color interior lighting as an option on the Mustang. Which highlights an issue with options...
You can get a bare-bones GT for less than a 1SS Camaro, but the 1SS is better equipped. Furthermore, when you put options on a GT that are comparable to an 1SS (or 2SS), you'll actually be getting more for your money with the Camaro. For 2020, Chevy did the right thing and released the new LT1 trim (should've done it years ago!). The LT1 gets you the V8, with upgraded brakes over the LT trim...for ~$35K...and it's still better-equipped than a base GT.

(This question was raised in the video regarding what gear was the "one-to-one" ratio gear)
The "typical" one - to - one gear is 4th gear, on most 5 and 6 - speed manual transmissions, 4th is 1.00
While there are "variances and options" in various ratio's "typically" you will see 5th gear at or "near" 0.80 and 6th gear further reduced to 0.60
As stated, you may find depending on tranny design and desired engine operating range some transmissions offering 5th gear ~ 0.75 with 6th gear as high at 0.50 (Remember, as gear ratio's "numerically get lower" the ratio gets higher, i.e., rear axle ratio's 4.56-1 very "low gearing" 2.73-1 very "high gearing" In transmission ratio's 1st gears with 2.66, 2.88, 2.93, 3.00 are increasingly "lower" gear ratio's
    5 & 6 speed gears with ratios of 0.80, 0.75, 0.72, 0.68, 0.60, 0.50 are "higher" final drive ratios

back in the day I had a 1998 Z-28, small bock with automatic. Luv'd that car, blazing fast, looked great with the very dark blue (almost black) color. Now just got Mustang 2019 GT with stick shift manual. I am still learning the stang. Too soon to call it regarding chev vs ford. I grew up on Mopars, Plymouth Duster and Cuda. I dont know, my z28 was an amazing car. The view out of the windshield of the]is guy's Camaro seems cramped in the video. How was it in real life?

The 2015 was almost a half ton heavier than my 95 with me in it (2 week difference). My 95, you feel the power from the drop of the clutch.... @@19coyote5oh9 your fishing. They both do 0-60 in under 4 seconds, and the camaro gets to 80 quicker it looks like. The mustang could be better in the top end or that could be due to it using a gear geared for more high end while the camaro could possibly have a lower geared rear and that is why it launched quicker then the coyote catches it in 3rd. The pushrod is proven and the durability on longevity is proven. Pushrod truck engines like the 4.8 and 5.3 etc gm truck engines typically last longer than the f150 coyote engines and dohc engines in terms of long term reliability and longevity.

Seems like driving the Mustang is harder (clutch pedal, shifting..steering?). However, the Camaro is easy; clutch pedal isn't soft, but there is no "hardness" to it either and the stick is fast. I will admit that the Mustang might have a bit more wiggle room, but not much. Plus the seats were/are unimpressive and the rest of the cabin is more-or-less utilitarian.
