I honestly cant say I'm strictly Mopar after driving a Camaro a few weeks ago. I drove a Challenger also but I didn't like how big it is. I absolutely love the Camaro what an awesome machine. Can you give any tips for keeping control and not spinning out?
Nice man. I like those challengers but dislike them for the same reason. Traction control on is pretty invasive so you won't spin out unless you got it off. Otherwise just modulate throttle control. The Camaro wants to straighten out so if you back off it'll do just that.
Im actually a mopar guy since 2015 ,I love scatpacks and Hellcats ,But since 2021 ive been getting very sour with Dodges ridiculous price increases, so once 2023 came and the Durango tow n go i was thinking of buying went from $57k to 66k for the same exact truck i said nope im done,The durango was gonna be my middle ground vehicle that does a little bit of everything, I had a Hellcat already and loved it ,(A 2016) But now because of dodge pissing me off for the last time ,theres no more middle ground Durango coming ,but a 2023 1LE will be coming in a m6 shadow grey

I don't know how do you stop yourself from hitting top speeds or near that on these roads.....I'd kill to live somewhere like that! I have a similar road here, 2 lanes divided by concrete with lots of blind curves (blind when in a Camaro of course) and just can't stop myself. Very nice drive btw !
Track days, that's another pleasure I have to get by without, unless I drive hundreds of miles to do it, enjoy what you got even though I'm fully aware you already do 👍
Watching this made me wanna take my 18 1SS m6 out today for a lil fun. I’ve never hit 100 in 3rd, maybe one day. I just got a muffler delete(was only $240), is there any exhaust that WAY better that I can get w/o thinking it’s a waste of money?
Haha that's awesome man! Maybe you can stretch her out on the track sometime. Idk if the exhaust is really worth the cost. However borla is awesome company and backs there products. (I'll have to make a vid about this experience). Its personal opinion but borla next to muff deletes borla sounds better. Does it sound 1k better? Ehhhhh 😂🤣
Yep...mine is a 17' SS 6 speed. Almost 42k miles now. Seems to be getting even faster. Pulls like a freight train. I just wish I lived in an area like his with no traffic on the open roads.
I love Camaros especially the 1st gen. How bad are the blinds spots in the newer gens from a 1-10 (10 being really good), I was thinking about saving up for an ss model....i would love to have a zl1 but that's not in my price range lol. Overall great video #SaveTheManuals
Appreciate you watching man! It's not bad visibly you get used to it very quickly and it's a non issue. If I read every article about the Camaro they will all complain about it but you never once hear me on this channel complain about it. It's just not an issue after owning it for a day or two.
Vids like this really make me wanna drive a stick! I know how to but actually being able to execute it smoothly is my problem 😅 only thing I can do is practice tho, don’t think I should just go out and buy a manual as a daily yet..
Just jump into it man youll learn by muscle memory by doing it more. Its not entirely the brain but the leg muscles that need exercising. An hour or two in a parking lot with the right mentor should get you good!
Hi is this stock and do you got a straight pipe and is speedometer hologram thing stock or u put it on there cause I really like it and I am about to get a 2021 camaro lt1
Hey man, the speedometer thing is the HUD (heads up display) comes standard on 1les, 2ss and zl1s. Just a borla exhaust in this one. The 1lt are awesome cars man. You'll definately enjoy it
I'm pretty sure it's not standard on that model, and adding it might be more than it's worth depending how important it is to you I've read on the forum guys depending 500-600 to do it themselves. There may be other options I'm unaware of.
Always wanted a Camaro. Hoping some strong string of luck I'd get enough $$$ saved, my credit score raised and will get that drop top SS I've always wanted before its discontinued in 2023. 🤞🤞
I’ve got a question. I’ve got a 1LE daily driver myself. When I’m cruising at 50, should I be in 4th or 5th? Going high speeds, you stretch the gears, but I’m just figuring out the gear range on simple, daily drive speeds. Another thing, is your traction control on a lot or just when you’re gassing it?
I don’t have a SS but I have a manual sports car and if you’re just driving around casually I would say 5th or 6th. You might as well save the RPM’s and gas mileage. Traction control can be on or off but it only activates when you have it on and it needs to even you out. People turn their traction controls off because they want to do crazy shit with their car and don’t want it to interfere. Usually keep traction control ON if you’re just doing casual driving or going fast without much change of direction. Not worth turning it off and possibly causing a wreck unless you’re a pro
I have a 2ss and I try to keep my rpms between 1-2000 for normal driving. It saves on gas and wear and in the camaro there's more than enough torque to do whatever I need for normal driving at those rpms. So at 50 I'm definitely in 5th. If I go much higher than 50 even 53+ I'm changing to 6th as long as I don't think Ill have to slow back down soon.
One question, why don’t people just go from 5th or 4th to neutral and stop instead of putting stress on your engine by downshifting to second then neutral, i see everyone downshift to a low gear and then neutral but I don’t know why
Engine breaking dosnt really add stress on the car all that much. It's not producing power. Most modern automatics already do this for you but to a less dramatic degree. It will save the life of your brakes as 3700lbs going 80mph is a lot to put on the brakes alone. Now if I'm driving calm and cruising then sure but at that rate I'm already coasting to the stop and have no need to have to downshift. Good question! 👍
@@Hot-1LE and rev matching is just too fun not to do. Its saves some wear and tear on the brakes, you get to hear the exhaust with each rev match and it's fun. It also feels great when you get that perfect rev match as you downshift. I never use my auto rev match at all. Lol.
Many actually say throwing into Neutral at higher speeds before coming to a stop is not a good move for your transmission over time. I did it for years myself but lately I started downshifting more, it's just more fun.....but in the end I think both are ok to do as long as done right (in cars without rev match specially) but using Neutral means less shifts done over the transmission's life span and less use of the clutch plate.
I do and I know others that do too. The highest expense difference is tires. If your nice you can get 15k out of the stock tires. Otherwise most of us just get another set of wheels and tires for daily use and another set for track or canyons. But the 1le is very daily driveable. That's one of my fav parts of the car is I can kill it on a canyon or track and then put it into comfort mode and use the a.c. and cruise control the whole way home. Go sit in the seats make sure they work for you. There is a lot of complaints on 2ss seats. The recaros in the 1le can use a bit more lumbar support. That's my only gripes. Great car all around
So the info isn't completely out there definitively. I seen guys do 173 on a stock SS 1le in person but slow down because of land needed. Our speedo says 200 but you know how that goes. Cars completely capable of it though
Dang man, my 2002 SLP is capable of 170mph (verified by GPS) if I can find enough road for that and throw it in Overdrive at "top speed" and I was not even past 5k RPM yet when in 6th. I'm sure his will go closer to 185-190mph without much effort.
@@Hot-1LE Appreciate the quick response. Myself I just got a Corsa axle back and was really curious on how much more mid+xpipes add to the sound, I could care less for performance.
Ya no performance gain with a catback on these cars. It's really tone change and a little bit louder over stock npp. Corsa is really good too. Enjoy the exhaust man
When I first got the car I thought it was a bit rough. Once I got used to it and put the suspension in tour it's very liveable. I've even left it on track when comming down from the canyons and forgot for a bit. I don't mind stiff rides (no pun lol). But the tire noise is kinda there.
Congrats on the car man! You might be able to find someone selling them used but still probably going to be pricey. The racaros are awesome but if you not doing heavy performance driving they may not be the best
Hot 1LE thanks man and yeah I don’t so you’re probably right lol. But I still love the Car the stock exhaust is sounds super good next thing for me a cold air intake

Thanks bro. This is the borla Atak axle back with NPP valves and borla 60607. Which is an Xpipe and mid pipes. If I were to do it again I'd do the atak and just have a shop cut the crush pipes on the stock exhaust. iMO. However this does sound bad ass. Stock headers n everything else

Many actually say throwing into Neutral at higher speeds before coming to a stop is not a good move for your transmission over time.
I did it for years myself but lately I started downshifting more, it's just more fun.....but in the end I think both are ok to do as long as done right (in cars without rev match specially) but using Neutral means less shifts done over the transmission's life span and less use of the clutch plate.
acceleration is better than on the zl1 1le?
No
@@Robert-goose1 Ok Thank you.
@aizzen yeah the zl1 is a faster car all around. The benefits of forced induction :)
@@Hot-1LE Ok thx
Do you daily this car? I have a 5th gen ss and looking at 6th but don't know if I should get the 1le or stick to the 2ss.
@@Hot-1LE okay thanks. I currently run Michelin pilot sport 4s on my 5th gen and they cost a pretty penny too. 😂
🤣 you understand. Haha I was looking into those. I changed my first set around 5k miles. Very aggressive alignment and lots of gas smashing lol
I gotta get me one of these before they are permanently discontinued 🙁
Yes sir I'd suggest it
Was hoping for some windy roads and not just highways.
Absolutely bro. Stay tuned!
Can you do a night POV as well?
I'm actually glad you asked. I been meaning to make one not sure if anyone would care for it. I put it on my list of videos to do next 😉
Awesome car 👍🏼
Thank you brother! Appreciate you stopping by the channel 👍👍
What percentage tint are on the windows? Looks good.
Man it's been a while I think it was 15 percent fronts pass and driver window and as dark as possible in the backs
I see you live in San Clemente/Rancho Mission Viejo area!
That my friend is definately Mexico! 😁 Good eye!
Absolutely! I would like to have a cruise on the other side of Mexico aka 74 Ortega Hwy but my s2k will not be able to keep up with you lol.
Hahaah I'd love to find out sometime. I don't push it as hard as some people on the public twisties. But I'm sure I'll give you a run for it haha
Whats the top speed for the camaro?
So the info isn't completely out there definitively. I seen guys do 173 on a stock SS 1le in person but slow down because of land needed. Our speedo says 200 but you know how that goes. Cars completely capable of it though
Dang man, my 2002 SLP is capable of 170mph (verified by GPS) if I can find enough road for that and throw it in Overdrive at "top speed" and I was not even past 5k RPM yet when in 6th.
I'm sure his will go closer to 185-190mph without much effort.
I’ve wanted one of these since 2016… one day😪
Did the Xpipe and mid pipes increase the loudness by a lot?
To some degree yes. But at non throttle driving or just cruising it's pretty quiet probably equal to stock
Enjoy the exhaust man
how would you describe the ride quality?
When I first got the car I thought it was a bit rough. Once I got used to it and put the suspension in tour it's very liveable. I've even left it on track when comming down from the canyons and forgot for a bit. I don't mind stiff rides (no pun lol). But the tire noise is kinda there.
@@Hot-1LE is the ride quality as firm as a zl1 1le?
Nope. A zl1 1le is really stiff and really just meant for the track. The dampening on the ss 1le is perfect, and is a beast on the track
Man those wheels are HOT
Beautiful car
🙏🙏🙏
It's funny, people always ask where I hit these (simulated via very great rendering) triple digits. I tell them, "on the road I pay for." ;)
it’s my dream 😞❤️
Was one of mine too. Work hard bro 💪
Hot 1LE 👍🏻💙
Love it!!!
Thanks pickle Rick!
is this in Santa Clarita Valley?
Realtively close my friend. OC ❤️
@@Hot-1LE it looks like the industrial center 😂
Which exhaust?
Borla atak cat back
@@Hot-1LE Thanks. Nice sound
Appreciate you watching ✌️
I just got my 1SS manual too and I’m honestly in love. I wanted some Recaros but damn 3k 😖
Ya good choice forget the seats make it louder and faster lol it's what they do best
Why 3k? They are like 1500
How’s the seating position in the camaro, does it feel like you’re in the car or on top of it?
In the car. The mustang feels like your ontop of it but the Camaro sits so low. Its perfect for the twisties in that respect.
@@Hot-1LE thank you, I got the chance to sit in a charger and didn’t like the way you sat on top of it, I also sat in a C7 stingray and loved the way you just fell in and I was wondering if I got the same feeling with the camaro. Thanks for the reply and stay safe.
Ya man I didint like dodge high up seating either. The Camaro you drop right in. It's a vette with a back seat basically. Good luck on your search man
This is the Borla Catback? Npp version? You also got the double x pipe? I'm really seriously looking at this setup. I have a 20 Shadow Gray 1ss 1le.
No headers? That sounds KILLER.
Shadow gray is a good color. Red Hot 1le man lives a life of danger.
🚔
Is the audio recorded from cabin or did you have a mic setup near the exhaust
This is just cabin interior noise
Now I want talking lol great shots.
😅😅 thanks broski
Great video, man. Is that the GM performance exhaust or aftermarket?
Disregard. I just saw the other comment where you gave the exhaust details. Thanks.
No worries man. Headers on the way! Appreciate you checking out the channel.
What’s the paddles for
Enables/disables auto rev match
