I've been watching this cover and teaching myself to play it. Such a beautiful and simple little OST. I love Made In Abyss and this 2nd season hits right in the feels, especially the moments when the main motif of this OST begins to play, IMO.

Heya! I’ve been practising this piece a lot over the last 3 days (thanks again for your hard work!!). I noticed on the sheet music you said play the pedal where you see fit, there’s some places like the low Eb octave (left hand repeating pattern) that I really struggle to understand how you get the lowest Eb to sustain but the higher left hand melody to not bleed through! Does this require other piano pedals? My configuration is just a keyboard and a single sustain pedal (which I’ve only ever used/know how to use😢), or do you just try to use the pedal to the same rhythm whilst playing the left hand melody (to bridge those gaps between the jumps?) as I might try working on patching those! Thanks again!! ❤

To answer, I used only one piano pedal as well, which is the same sustain pedal you have :) Get lowest Eb to sustain = Press the pedal down from the moment you press the low Eb octave, and continue to hold it throughout two bars Higher left hand melody not to bleed through = This is kind of tricky to explain, but when you press the lowest Eb octave down, don't press and stress on the keys too long. Press and let go of the keys already, and quickly move back up to the higher LH keys just as shown in the video. The depressed pedal will help to sustain the sound of the lowest Eb octave for abit. And then continue playing the keys normally, keep the rhythm steady and don't rush. Hopefully it helps ^^
