    My stage 2 STi (dp, up, intake, tune) was a blast to drive on the streets. Not the fastest and didn't have amazing top-end, but it def put you in your seat. It felt faster than my blouch Dom 3, fmic, meth setup @ 415whp because of the spool and torque curve.

    • @Scoobyfreak86
      @Scoobyfreak86  2 года назад

      Stock Oil pick up tube is prone to cracking. Once that crack or breaks, the motor will starve. Not misleading at all when it is an issue that has happened to several examples.

      What kind of afr and knock numbers were u seeing? And what was the cause of the blown motor?

    • @TheSwampDonkey
      @TheSwampDonkey 2 года назад +1

      @@BigMike48 Well there was no blown motor. I was seeing FB and FKL on tip in around -4.2. Nothing crazy but still reason for concern since it wasn't an issue before. No boost leaks. The intake would heat soak pretty easy sitting at lights and the AFR would run pretty lean under light throttle cruising. AFR WOT was good around 11.1 but something was off under light throttle. It was anywhere from 10-22. I know it does bounce around while not WOT but it was causing some stutter just driving around. Just didn't feel right and I didn't like the influx in the throttle. Once I pulled off the intake, re-flashed a stage 1 map, it was fine. Problem solved.

    Hey man awesome video. Really hope to reach this point one day!
    I know you covered exhausts a while ago now, but I am having a hard time choosing between the AWE Touring and ETS Extreme w/ Resonator. I know you have not tried ETS before, but I would think it is similar to the Delta Motor Works having no mufflers. I really enjoy the volume and tone of the ETS, but I can see the appeal of the AWE with no drone and a quality tone. How does the deepness compare between the Delta and AWE?
    Side note. ETS can ship right away, AWE is backordered for another month before shipping.

    • @Scoobyfreak86

    Hey man! Great vid. Still new with the STI but wanted to get your opinion, is it worth getting an AP V3 and getting it to Stage 1 atleast? Is it worth voiding the warranty? Is there major risk on getting a AP and getting it to Stage 1? Thanks man!

    • @Scoobyfreak86
      @Scoobyfreak86  2 года назад +1

      Yes it’s worth it. It cleans up a lot of the mess the stock tube has. Nothing “voids” your warranty. Rather if something happens to whatever it is you modified, there is a higher risk of them denying warranty.

    • @Scoobyfreak86
      @Scoobyfreak86  2 года назад +2

      It absolutely does. You spend the most time inside the car than out, so I always make a point to upgrade the small details to make it that much more enjoyable to drive.
      Not crazy at all because you are exactly correct. The rumble is not gone! At idle and low RPM, it's very hard to even tell the headers are EL. The only time they become apparent is in the higher rev range. Otherwise, it sounds extremely good and nothing like a honda or wrx in person. It has a fantastic sound.

    • @bronsondempsey7812
