Don't be fooled by the word: carbon. This isn't a true carbon fiber guitar, but rather an HPL (High Pressure Laminate) infused with some carbon fiber particles. The difference is huge when it comes to durability. HPL (basically plastic) buckles and cracks. Carbon fiber is extremely strong. There are only 6 manufacturers who make an all-carbon-fiber acoustic guitar and you'll pay between $1500 - $2500 for one of those. Chinese companies are putting out $400 guitars claiming to be carbon fiber. Do your research.

Far from the truth. You can't infused HPL with carbon fiber, there is also no such thing as "C.F. particles". And have to mention: Carfon Fiber is "stiff", not "strong". Theoretically you can't make an 100% C.F. product, you will always need the resin. The key difference here is if you're using the long fibers or short fibers. To use long fibers and weave them with resin will get you a better stiffness, but it's heavy and quality inconsistent for manufacturing when you're making a complex form like the guitars. That's why we use it only for the top of the LAVA ME PRO. We assume people want its weather proof capability, not the "stiffer than metal" capability. The original LAVA ME guitars used a carbon fiber composite that's first ever used for a guitar. It's much lighter, and much more flexible for creating the precise forms yet still remaining the weather proof capability and relatively high stiffness, and those were our purposes since the very beginning.
